  1. I use Travel Insured International and they are pretty quick.
  2. No masks required. We have cruised a ton since the restart and we are so happy ships are back to capacity. So great watching people having fun again. We think the food is fine, shows are great. Nothing to complain about as far as we are concerned
  3. Paradise Beach! It is the best. Gorgeous pool, great beach and service. Only place we go to when we are in Cozumel. Grounds are gorgeous, clean bathrooms. All Inclusive is $64 pp and you can get as much to drink/eat as you want. They also run sales from time to time. We love it there, been going there for years.
  4. Not sure we will sail on Icon, at least not for a long time. 1. Prices are INSANE! I refuse to pay that kind of money to get on a new ship. 2. Seems like it will be a Disney Cruise, so not sure we want to deal with all the kids. We love kids, but don't want to be overwhelmed by them all day. 3. Ship seems very disjointed to me with all the "zones". Does not look like a lot of loungers at the pool where you can be out of the water and just enjoying the sun. Could be wrong, but just from the training I have done and the pictures I have seen, does not look like it. This is not to say we won't try it, but just like all the new ships, we will wait a couple of years and let the prices go down. We are finally going on Wonder October 2023 at probably 1/2 the cost of what it was when it was first out. Will do the same with Utopia - that we will go on for sure - but will wait until it is out for a while before we go.
  5. Again, depends on the port, but on Freedom out of Miami and Liberty out of FLL, have never seen anyone have to show their boarding pass and the time they were assigned. They open the doors and in you go.
  6. yes, but depending on the ship, MTD starts at different times.
  7. I watch prices pretty much daily or every other day. I go in and do mock bookings. If it goes down from what I paid, i call and get it lowered. Unless it specifically for new bookings, I never have an issue getting price drops before final payment. I am a TA, but I did this even before I became one. You just have to take the time to check it.
  8. lots of people eat early, but not our thing. Some nights we have to eat early to make a show, but our preference is 7:30 - 8.
  9. I agree, usually 6:30 to 6:45. But if that is too late, you are pretty much forced to take early dining. I am not sitting through 2-3 hour dinners anymore on a big table. We love getting our 2 tops in MTD and being in out in an hour to max 1.5 hours.
  10. I will never travel without a passport or insurance. We are 79 and 66. just not worth it. We cruise about 12 times a year, so having passports and insurance it a major thing to us.
  11. We have been doing MTD forever and will never switch to regular. 5:30 is WAY to early for us to eat.
  12. If you book, then watch prices. If it goes down before final payment, you can call Royal and they will adjust to the lower price. I do it all the time, just go 2 price drops yesterday.
  13. That might be true. We never go to MDR except dinner, so maybe not open for lunch.
  14. Yes, that is for the better coffee. I think there is coffee in the urns at Cafe Promenade pretty much 24-7 Windjammer does not open until 7 on most shis. So the only place to get coffee early is from the urns at Cafe Promenade
  15. yes, you can use the package as soon as you board Have no idea what a PAT is so cannot answer that yes, main dining or Windjammer buffet is open for lunch. no idea about mocktails as we drink the real ones, but pretty much anything that has booze can be ordered without it Cafe Promenade opens at 6:30 am. Get specialty coffee every morning after I go to the gym.
  16. We were on Oasis for our 3rd time early December (been on all the Oasis Class except Wonder which we are doing in October) and loved it again as usual. Only thing about Oasis that I wish was different is no bar in WJ. Love the bar on the Freedom Class ships in WJ. But food was good, entertainment was fantastic, except we don't go to CATS, wish they would change that to a different production show. We always go to Schooners at night for pre dinner drinks. We get the Beverage Pkg even with the free drinks for Pinnacle. Schooners is our favorite lounge in the evening before dinner. Love El Loco Fresh, great Mexican for snacks. Overall, Allure is my favorite, but like all the Oasis Class ships. We never have a problem getting loungers at the pool since we are up there by 7:30 am and stay all day except for bathroom breaks and maybe a 20 minute breakfast (well within the 30 minute rule).
  17. Totally agree, plus don't want it hanging around my neck all day
  18. types of beer they have and prices? Are the servers coming around constantly or do they pretty much leave you alone unless you want something? We don't want to be bugged every 5 minutes.
  19. My sister does not use Credit Cards either. She just uses her debit card to pay off her cruise and her ship board account.
  20. Has anyone been there lately? Where is the beach area of the beach to go? We want a nice beach with pretty water, loungers/umbrellas to rent, bathroom, a beach bar or something like that. Do not want hard wooden loungers or the white hard plastic loungers. Can you give me any ideas of the best are to go to. Thanks
  21. I actually got one today, so called figuring it was not real, but it WAS!!! I tracked all the FCC's I had and my client's and knew mine were gone, so was super surprised when they said it was good. Applied it to my Voyager 3/26/23 cruise which I need to pay for before Monday, so that was nice to get the extra amount off the cruise. Win for me!
  22. I know, that is why I love it. We are doing that itin in Oct 2024 for our girls cruise for my sister's 60th birthday.
  23. We were just on Oasis and booked reservations for Aqua/Ice and Comedian. They scanned our cards as we walked in.
  24. Yup, had a client get it also. One phone call confirmed they had already used it, which I knew.
  25. We get 6 free per day each and still get the Bev Pkg. Totally worth it to us not to have a bill at the end of the cruise. Between specialty coffees with Bailey's in the morning, mimosas in the morning, water/soda/etc and drinks throughout the day, totally pays for itself. We just consider it part of our cruise.
