  1. I can tell you from the perspective of a a dental professional, the dental practitioner in question is not responsible for a number of reasons. No need to get into a lengthy and quite boring discussion, but I can assure you from what information the OP has provided it would be next to impossible for this to be related to implant failure. I am almost certain that it will be deemed an unfortunate accident that was not intentional nor neglectful. Especially if it’s proven that the menu the OP received indicated that olives were part of the accompaniment of the dish. Princess will apologize and offer a token of goodwill. This is only my humble opinion.
  2. I wish you luck! I would love to be proven wrong in your case.
  3. You are correct. Implants are far superior to a fixed bridge. However, the cost is much higher for implants and not an option for many people. Some insurance companies have plans that do cover a portion of the implant. Most always the procedures performed by an oral surgeon to prep the gum tissue are covered.
  4. I’m an endodontist and this is an interesting thread. The OP is correct in that the second implant is a much more complicated process. The cost seems quite high, but since I’m not familiar with the case or the practitioners involved, I won’t comment any further. As far as filing suit for damages, I’m highly sceptical that the OP would be successful in receiving monetary compensation. I would think more probably OBC or FCC. However, I’m not a lawyer so I’m not qualified to offer advice or even my opinion. I’ve had many patients travel prior to the completion of their root canal therapy. A few of them caused damage to the tooth and some to the point of requiring extraction. Virtually all of these events are related to the patient biting on something that was unexpected. I don’t recall anyone ever mentioning that they would seek damages, as I would have been required to present a detailed report. This, of course, would be dependent on whether the incident was accidental, intentional or preventable. The lawyers will decide, but I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for cash payment in the area of $7000.00 Just my humble opinion and I could be proven completely wrong. Good luck to the OP.
  5. Why do so many people care so much about what other people do or don’t do or how they choose to spend their money? I live my life according to what I want, what I need and what I can afford. I don’t feel the need to discuss my choices or justify my choices. To be honest, I don’t care what you choose to do either. Your life, your money, your business. If you choose to purchase a package, great, good for you! If you choose not to purchase a package, great, good for you!
  6. As long as they don’t run out of Aperol and Prosecco, I’ll be happy. We had a very hard time locating Aperol here at home during the summer and I was so disappointed.
  7. $5.00 RS delivery charge is applicable only if you don’t purchase the Ocean Now delivery for $14.99. Your assumption is correct.
  8. I believe we established that curling irons/flat irons are completely allowed and clothes irons are prohibited. So ladies are perfectly welcome to take their styling appliances. If you want to iron clothes use the ones in the onboard laundry rooms.
  9. Sorry! I assumed, yes THAT word, you knew it was a beverage package and not an alcohol package. I must try to be more exact in my wording, my bad. Thanks for being patient.
  10. Go to the website and look exactly where I instructed in my post. It is there in black and white, I promise! lol
  11. Again, see my post #115 and you will see for yourself in black and white right on the website!
  12. Just go to their website. My directions are in post #115. Can’t believe you didn’t know this! This is why so many people are completely confused about the packages.
  13. In defence of this member, please keep in mind that she has no interest whatsoever in purchasing any packages and is very vocal in her options. She would have no reason to search for this information nor would she ask for it. So, for her knowing all the packages and what they offer is just not in her wheelhouse.
  14. Just go to the website and On Our Ships….Onboard Experience……Beverage Packages. These are shown as either Plus or Premier beverage packages and if you read each of them it covers beverages only. None of the other stuff that’s included with the Plus or Premier cruise fare. The price for these packages are pretty much the same as what you could have paid for the entire package! Why anyone would buy it is beyond anyone’s comprehension. Princess has confused so many people! You would think they would have at least identified them to make the difference obvious. So very confusing. Sorry, @Steelers36, but you have posted recently a complete breakdown of the packages and did it so much better than I. Would you mind pointing it out to this member. Thank you!
  15. So, we need a little more info on this cabin. It’s aft, but is it a true aft….facing outwards from the back of the ship? Or is it aft on the port or starboard side…facing out from the sides of the ship? Which deck is it on? Sensitivity to motion is more prevalent far aft and far forward on higher decks. It will be nothing compared to the sailboat you were on. Ships are far more stable. If you would share your cabin number we could give you more advice.
  16. You are correct! I always laugh when I look at our travel summary and it indicates “complimentary” from Princess when I know for a fact I paid for either the Plus or Premier package. This is quite deceptive and I’m surprised by how many people are fooled by it. Not nice, Princess.
  17. I can see how many people get confused about all the different packages. There are many of them and many variations. One must read through all of the packages before choosing what is right for them and to be clear they’re getting exactly what they paid for. Princess reps are not very helpful in this department, so one needs to inform themselves.
  18. Not referring to those packages at all. I’m referring to the Beverage Package that covers alcohol drinks and wine. Not the same thing.
  19. The drinks only package can be purchased for just one person, however, the Plus or Premier all included package must be purchased by both cabin occupants. This is not dependent on your loyalty level.
  20. Your CVP is only half correct. You can only purchase onboard the stand alone beverage package for one person. The Plus package, with inclusions, must be purchased by both people in the same cabin, regardless if you buy it before sailing or when onboard. Yes, there are many places onboard who will add the beverage package to your account.
  21. Of course, you are correct, Don. Thank you for adding that information.
  22. I would recommend that you get a Princess Cruise Vacation Planner, aka CVP, who can do any changes for you expeditiously.
  23. Yes, the pools are for everyone. Reserve Class mini suites are identical to regular minis, except for the far forward cabins on Lido and Marina, which have huge balconies. Reserve Class offers a small, separate area of the MDR with the same menus, but with a daily special nor offered in the MDR. Same kitchen as MDR. No reservations are necessary, so arrive when you are ready. Service may be a touch elevated. No separate lounge, either. There is nothing else offered for Reserve Class guests. If you want special treatment with a more upscale experience, you would need to book a full suite, not a mini suite.
