  1. Following your adventure! We also have the Premier package added to our next cruise, so I’m looking forward to your valued opinion. Have a wonderful cruise!
  2. What a huge disappointment! I think some spaces should be held back to accommodate at least a few people embarking on the second leg.
  3. lol, I’m a dentist not a lawyer, but that sounds right to me!
  4. I believe the OP would need to prove that the olive pit was IN the lobster cake as opposed to being on the plate BESIDE the lobster cake. This will be difficult to prove either way. The issue is that the OP was aware of the presence of olives presented with this dish because it’s stated on the menu and should have been more diligent. I wish him luck. I’m sure Princess will offer him a generous settlement, just not $7000.00 in cash. But, who knows?
  5. Corticosteroids, and others, can cause bone loss, but would have to be taken for a prolonged period of time and it becomes very obvious to the patient and the dental practitioner when bone loss is that severe. I don’t believe the OP falls into this category.
  6. Just a thought. Is it possible the reason that Princess, and most likely all cruiselines, keep raising the price of alcoholic drinks and packages, is because they are aware of so many people bringing their own alcohol onboard and this is their only option to make up for lost revenue? So, the people paying for drinks or packages, are in effect subsidizing those who choose to beat the system.
  7. Yes and no. In most cases, the bone in the jaw has enough density to withstand a titanium post and artificial tooth, even with the presence of osteoporosis. The OP has had the implant for six years, so unlikely the crack was caused by lack of bone density.
  8. Olives were on the menu for that dish as an accompaniment.
  9. I think that Princess will offer the OP a very nice FCC/OBC package. I would take it and forget about small claims court. That’s just me.
  10. Thanks for correcting me.
  11. Unfortunately, most people will not see this sale from your TA. They’ll have to resort to whatever Princess offers in sales, which as previously mentioned, may or may not be worthwhile. Happy that you got such a great deal!
  12. There is always a sale! Some are worthwhile, and some not so much. You just have to wait and see what the next sale brings, but don’t get your hopes up.
  13. Yes, as soon as you board go directly to the Sanctuary to book. It books up very quickly.
  14. As far as opening the balcony partitions, ask your cabin steward. It may be possible. If you want to book the Sanctuary it must be done onboard as soon as you embark. Run, don’t walk. It’s anybody’s guess if you’ll be successful, as it’s hit and miss. Sea days go first, of course. You cannot get, nor can you take yourself, a coffee machine for your cabin. You are correct regarding casual dining with the plus package.
  15. I tend to agree his efforts will be a lengthy exercise in futility and will most likely be abandoned.
  16. This cabin is cat. DW obstructed deluxe cabin. The balcony is huge, but it does get windy at sea. If you move further back towards the sliding door you will get some protection from the elements. You will also feel more motion that high up and that far forward. If you upgrade to a non obstructed deluxe cabin the room itself will be exactly the same but with a much smaller balcony on either the port or starboard side. Just depends on what’s important to you. We really like the far forward deluxe balconies or mini suites on Lido deck. Personally, I would not upgrade, but that’s just me.
  17. Yes, either a CVP or your travel agent can access these cabins and book two passengers. Princess does release the cabins from guarantee closer to sail date, but before final payment. Princess does this to encourage 3+ passenger reservations.
  18. lol We don’t live in Toronto since we retired a few years ago. However, our sons and their families do and yes, they live in an upscale neighborhood. Yes, they tip exorbitantly, especially on vacation. We did a family reunion cruise on HAL Eurodam a few years ago and the crew was very, very pleased.
  19. I agree 92% with you. Not all in on the other 8%, sorry.
  20. I have to admit that in Canada we tip everyone everywhere we go and even more than necessary. I tip our dog groomers more than some people tip their cabin stewards. Not unusual for clients in higher end salons in Toronto to tip their stylist $100.00+
  21. I sincerely wish you the best of outcomes in your case. I just don’t know how you prove negligence on the part of Princess when the menu clearly states that olives will be somewhere on your plate. You say the olive pit was inside the crab cake. It could very well be true. Can you prove that? If not, then Princess will say you were aware of the presence of olives and you neglected to be more observant. I really hope that you’ll be able to receive compensation through insurance coverage.
  22. Correct. A implant procedure performed six years ago with no ensuing complications or problems indicates a successful implant, completely exonerating the dental practitioners involved in this incident. Negligence on the part of Princess? This will very hard to prove, but I wish the best outcome for the OP.
  23. Wishing you a speedy recovery from your surgery. Your reply made me smile…..anaesthesia can do that!
  24. Are you a dental professional? What knowledge do you have about dentistry aside from the fact you have implants? I’m betting the answer is “NO”. I am and I can assure you that in Canada this would never reach the standard of negligence on the part of the dental practitioners involved. It was an unfortunate accident. I believe in the US everyone wants to sue everyone.
