  1. JS doesnt get suite lounge. Oh well, if it's about the same price I'd do the JS for the extra loyalty pt.
  2. Diamond gets you 4 drinks a day anywhere anytime up to $13 and a day of free wifi. JS isnt counted as a suite, but above that you have a suite lounge with happy hour for a few hours.
  3. I never said you made calls. I was referring to your cell phone plan for international calling which you said the plan kicked in and charged you for data. ... post away. I'm on a ship and tomorrow is turn around day and my wifi on my tablet here on grandeur will kick off. I wouldnt see your warnings. ..I still think the moral of the story is to check you are in airplane mode and your regular phone isnt using data and charging you. You arent the first and wouldnt be the last who didnt know. So it doesnt hurt to warn others. Saying you do have a plan of some sort with your provider isnt untrue. My cell phone stays in the safe, turned off.
  4. If the charges were from your provider it's not rcl fault. Blaming the wrong provider. I have found sometimes near the cafe internet not as good on ships. If it cuts off I turn it off and on at settings and back on. I'm using a tablet not a cell phone. Do check with your provider about fees for international calling. Nothing to do with rcl. Could be any cruiseline.
  5. I moved a couple earl grey up from a lower shelf that was too dark to show, but here on baby sized grandeur here is what tea our diamond lounge offers. ..plus a nice large room with large windows overlooking the aft.
  6. liberty had a toaster but on grandeur we have toast covered with a napkin. What I havent seen before are these cute little jars of orange and strawberry preserves.
  7. Liberty stayed green the week of dec 12 to 19 when others were yelling. We watched the site. I looked at the link and maybe by now grandeur is on the cdc list but it wasnt listed before perhaps because it was out of Barbados not the USA. If we had a outbreak I think we would hear of it and the diamond guy would have heard. Not sure i buy your theory that people who do the most complaining are out of florida, we just dont hear about the other ships. I'll keep reading but that's just my running common thread I've noticed.
  8. seemed like to me during the last holidays and even now the most issues I read on cc come out of florida and mostly miami. Is there cross contamination or why miami? During all the issues last holidays I never read liberty out of Galveston had more than a few issues. As far as the diamond ambassador here on grandeur knows there are no cases of covid. Carnival spirit that had issues went out of miami. Not sure about the princess ship. True there are a lot more ships out of florida but I've often noticed the big issues are florida departures. The threads where pax were screaming last dec and nye were florida ships. Not proof I know, but cant be entirely coincidence.
  9. I have one I bought onboard I still use as a throw when it's cool at home. Lol I also bought a fleece jacket I love with bears on it. Fleece packs well going home.
  10. I'm booked 10:20 am during spring break next year. I'm hoping for a 730 am walk off. Grab a taxi. Now I'm second guessing myself.
  11. I've read here in the past on other threads that the negative person also got at least 1 day compensation for being stuck in their cabin. They got something in the past, just not the whole rest of the cruise refunded. I wouldnt like to be sick on my cruise.
  12. Texans were happy we have dr pepper cherry and also strawberry in the machines. Lots of dr pepper if you have the cup. People were worried from texas if there would be dr pepper.
  13. You have to ask the cashier to do it. Per my friends who have this as a casino cruise. Has to be done manually.
  14. When I said mine stated $6, as in I got a sheet of paper in my cabin... see the last item. I'm onboard now. Tbh i didnt cash it out and check. Should have. Next leg i will try and figure it out how to use it. I was also told by friends to use obc to gamble I have to have cashier put it on my casino account. These machines here on grandeur arent computerised.
  15. grandeur crew are on a pilot program and some were allowed off in cozumel, not just Galveston. I still brought some treats, but that's me.
  16. Iv only done 3 carnival since restart, one I was almost right on, one I waited. Breeze the 2nd leg we did that sea rescue the night before and didnt dock until 10 am. They seemed to not be good at estimating when we would dock and kept changing the time so I wound up in the theater by 7 am and sat waiting as they changed the time at least 3 times to a later docking time. Carnival should have done a better job figuring out when we would dock. I'm sure that also made boarding for the next folks late. Things happen but carnival isnt always the best at dealing with changes from my experience. I boarded grandeur OTS last Wednesday and best ever. I had a 1230 time as it was grandeurs first time out of usa so extra ship and crew inspections. My hotel check out was 11 am. I arrived 1130 expecting to wait, but they were already boarding when I arrived. About 5 minutes wait. We will see in the morning how things go. We have a letter to meet at 930 am to go over health and safety. No b2b covid tests onboard and health and safety was closed to b2b. No idea what letter means exactly but I'll know soon. Even for carnival I havent experienced very long lines. Agree with above parking is much cheaper than say new orleans. Also I'd say more than half of the hotels allow free cruise parking. No shuttle. It's often a toss up pay for uber or pay for closer cruise parking. I'm at a hotel free parking this time.
  17. I got $6. Friends of mine he said he got $8 and hit over $100. He stopped when he was still up $90. Last night, have to move about 4 doors down the hall next 2 legs. No idea why he got $8 and I got $6, but $6 is what it says for diamond plus. Maybe he was wrong.
  18. I believe the issuing more shares also is a factor. Dilutes what ever value a company losing money might have even more. This isnt where I'd put fresh money, especially as I believe oil prices havent peaked. I'm watching some cloud tech, have enough oil to balance me out. Could use more tech but not here, catching falling knives. Cloud companys did better than other tech. I'm watching for lower p/e s. I agree with what someone above said cruiselines sat back and werent proactive.
  19. There are bound to be last minute cancellations. Someone will test positive and cant board. A few cabins always open up last minute. There will be some royal ups and their cabins open too.
  20. F not a C. I got into a flat fee for trading at a totally ridiculous price. Then they would not let me quit. Thousands maybe 5k cost to trade a year paid in advance. Then said I had to have given notice more than 6 months before or something ridiculous like gyms used to do to trap you into paying a extra year. I hope someone brought them to court. Anyway, before I left on this cruise I was listening to whatever earnings came out that made tv. I know cnbc and fbn biased, but doesnt hurt to see what they say why earnings were missed. Poor teledoc lost $43 a share. Wouldnt touch a company losing like that with no forecast of profitability. Rcl also has stopped saying when it expects to return to profitability as has ccl. It's the forecasts going forward, the well chips still in short supply, the war, china .. made stocks sell off.
