Why not stop at your bank and get large bills broken before you go. That's what I do and I've brought quite a bit of cash at times. I've told the casino nothing bigger than a $20. I want small bills and take care of it before I go.

When you go to book the excursion you have to check the name of who is booking. Can be one or the other..start to book like a mock booking and you will see.

I guess I'm not a history buff. Chichen its bored me to tears and the heat killed my enthusiasm. I spe t most of the excursion in the bar having the hugest margarita I could order and ordered chips and dips. There is no modern toilet there. Our bus stopped at a tourist place to go to the bathroom. All the japanese tourists had umbrellas for the heat. You can swim there. I just dont tolerate heat well. I'd do caverns or something cooler or see the flamingos and stuff like that if I go back. Or go in jan. You dont say when you are going. It's a excursion for winter only imo.

A little off topic but a fun read imo. Says dining changes but more. A case of water pre ordered to your cabin went from 4.95 to 9.95 almost double. The $5 for 3rd entree .. lobster night imo. Moving lobster night to 2nd dress up night. Fewer eat in Mdr. Steak house $48,, oh no. Lol. Some are so mad threats to withhold tips..some ok. But amusing the reactions to raising costs on carnival. Their italian is still $18 for dinner vs giovannis I think. Page 9 .. and still going.

Maybe the other guy will repay you for your half of the cruisefare. Really a no show is the only option or he losses out big time. Refared at current rates and 200% solo supplement. Say nothing, dont cancel or you mess him over. Your port fees and taxes will be automatically refunded after the cruise.

I talked to a newly pinnacle who got 4 free during covid but said in 2023 only one free cruise offered and they dont gamble much..go on a free cruise and another pops up they said...all free. Rcl been very generous to fill ships they claim.

Unless jubilee drops all I've booked is 14 day dream because of the ports, not for loyalty pts. Rcl doesn do priority debark and idk but I get priority tender on carnival. On sept liberty I got no priority from rcl and was told go forward deck 5. Who said deck 3. Who said aft deck 3, and then a long line 2 tenders we walked thru the crew qtrs. This is the 3rd time on rcl it's been kinda awful. And I was booked on a rcl excursion. Carnival does those booked on their excursions then by loyalty. None of the craziness I've done on rcl for tendering. One time a tender broke and the line went up 3 decks it was so long. Imo if you book thru rcl a excursion you should get priority for tendering. Priority debark only matters if the ship is late. We had a rescue the night before last sept and didnt dock until 1030 am. Diamonds and suites went first then platinum .. then everyone else. I was glad of priority debark that day. At 25 cruises I got 25% obc of a cruise and picked alaska. My friend just got it on his 14 day. Pick your most expensive. I talked to a couple doing b2b2b2b on short runs to hit 50, 50% obc of cruisefare. 75% etc. I almost always do 7 days so fewer, but it's a nice perk. I do get a free pay restaurant next cruise. Go read carnival thread about dining changes. People are mostly upset. Italian I think is still $18, and JiJis.. I think sushi place went up. Steak house and seafood went up. Steak is now $48. Horrors. I can still order surf and turf there I cant on rcl. It's my favorite. And the worst. A 3rd entree in Mdr is $5. If I want a 3rd lobster it's now a $5 charge. This has people threatening to withhold tips. Someone suggested getting 8 shrimp cocktails lol to fill up. Still no limit. Just the $5 imo to hold down lobster orders. I think they are on about page 8 or 9 discussing if you want some fun. The new ships do have more free restaurants I think because Mdr too small, but some interesting free dinner choices. I'd like to do mardi gras but hoping jubilee lowers the prices. Starting over $1200 inside. On dates I cant do. Not paying $1500 bottom deck inside. Waiting. Ncl prima also will be in Galveston but dates I can do over 2k inside. Carnival perks are nothing. Unlimited free laundry. Stupid. Priority tendering I love and debark. Carnival also has anytime dining so much better. Starts 530 pm and press a button and the computer assigns a table. And if you want to share, push another button... so much better imo than rcl where I have to go to a real person and wait often. ..love computer assigning a table any time I want.

I was just reading on a certain blog about what sales we might expect the week of Thanksgiving. I'm hoping for some special deals for planner items. Excursions could be up to 50% off instead of the regular up to 35% off and then the one I want is 15 or 10% off lol. But I think there will be some planner items on sale in a few weeks. Last year the soda pkg was super cheap. He mentioned several sales for seniors on cruisefare too.

For me I want to fly out of dfw not love field. Love field is very expensive to park. Fewer hours, almost didnt get in before the lot closed for the night. I'm paying $518 out of dfw and would currently be $908 and that's with a stop on the way to miami and flying home from ft Lauderdale not miami. Lots of over 1k fares. Maybe it depends on if you can do sw if you can get those low fares. Nothing on my dates in your $300 range round trip. Air fare definitely influences my cruises. I heard rcl on CNBC today about earnings and he said cruisefares are up from 2019, pre covid. Each cruise on average costs more and people spend more onboard. Good for rcl srock, not as cheap as used to be though. My groceries cost more too so I'm ot mad, but I do think cruise prices are up. But still better than ncl or jubilee on carnival... got my eye on a couple besides rcl.

I'm just north of dallas and go down the day before. Hotels are getting crazy. And I saw someone post they paid to park at the new rcl terminal and it cost them $184 I think they said. Covered idk .. but parking at the new terminal is crazy high. A huge jump from the old terminal. Nice but not inexpensive. Flying to miami is crazy high from dfw. Glad I bought as early as I could. I'm see $908 for the airfare if I booked it now and many over $1k though it is for next spring break. .. I agree if you live close to a port and someone drives you so you dont pay to park .. but it ain't cheap. One pinnacle told me he wears his pin because it's the most expensive jewelry he owns. I agree.

I'm always baffled why people quote a per person rate which isnt the rate for the cruise solo or for a couple. Meaningless. I am diamond on carnival 200 pts and have pts on celebrity ncl and princess. I started with princess. Rcl came late. So I'd be pinnacle if I could add them all together. So not impossible but not soon. Maybe never. Dec paid for regular but next year solo rates kick in so makes it cheaper than carnival, though I'd like to do jubilee and ncl prima out of Galveston .. but wouldnt help pinnacle. Ncl wants even more for prima, over 2k. For a inside!

Are you talking pp or solo? I'm solo. I have 2 close to that the rest I've booked are more. Allure is currently the 7 day ship out of Galveston which as I said if I fly to florida costs even more over all. I did say only Galveston. If I find these cruise you are talking about I'm there! Just not seeing them. Of course including port fees and taxes. And then harmony comes in. My cheapest inside balcony is 995 on harmony. This dec im like 1259 but its Broadway..but almost that for cp. Maybe you missed I'm only talking Galveston..or can show me what you mean. $100 a day is very hard to find.

I see very few fares under $100 a day unless I fly to florida and maybe it's cheaper to go out of florida. I cant book for $100 a day and add in a $100 plus Galveston hotel and gas to get there. Used to before covid but not any more. Even carnival is over $100 a day out of texas. I couldnt be gone endless months at a time. I'd worry about my house being broken into and I shop and drive my mom. I dont think pinnacle is within reach. Took me 20 years to hit 340 finally. And I have some good prices, and some closer to almost $200 a day coming up this dec. I think $150 is more the normal now even with discounts. Pinnacle seems very far away.

I've never had a issue just asking for 2 lobsters and not 2 sides for both.

I dont think they will open to VPNs. There was a thread recently. I wouldnt count on that.

Maybe I can get groceries and some other things same as pre covid... everything costs more, ot just cruises. Maybe some should wait for things to be entirely normal before they book. ..though things might never be like before. I used to be able to book for $100 a day hurricane season, now deals are gone.

I thought thought huge round things in the aft were the satalittle. At least so I was told. Aft not forward.

I couldnt connect to wifi from the cafe on liberty but deck 14 was very good. 14 aft. Try another location. Even the buffet worked better than lower decks.
