  1. Those are the only protocols. Hopefully it helps. No other protocols on board. But, I'm finding that the testing and vac is much more than any other place I go. Even many hospitals and doctors offices have discontinued a masking requirement. M
  2. Our June Mariner is $225 PER PRRSON for beach club. And β€œsold out” over the water cabana is listed at $3,499! Late May Mariner is just a few dollars less for each. m
  3. ReneeFLL- Your attitude is amazing. Have you been able to get any medication such as Paxlovid? of course, I don’t know if you fit the criteria. I love reading the back-and-forth conversation between you and the other Covid quarantined poster on another ship. Bonding. my favorite take away from all of this is someone asking for tea and sadly getting just a teabag. Note to self, next time I order tea from room service, I will make sure to ask for hot water as well feel better soon!
  4. If you go on the app, you can find a link to ships that support the app, pick harmony, and pick a current itinerary just like yours. You might be able to get a better idea. I’m not sure how I can tell you to get to the information, as last time I got there it was by accident. we have found that week to week there are often changes in the show scheduling so keep that in mind. m
  5. Was this to be the last cruise of the series, or were you planning to remain on for more cruises? m
  6. OP - I wish you a mild case and a speedy recovery. I applaud your honesty as you could’ve ignored your symptoms and simply walked around the ship with Covid. Is the medical staff able to give you any of the true Covid meds? I wish the quarantined passengers were in a more comfortable cabin (May be a balcony) as I believe more people would admit they are sick. I get the feeling that many don’t wanna leave their cabin to be in the ocean view cabin. One of my fears is being quarantined in a cabin with no fresh air. If I’m not feeling well it’s not a big deal but once I start to feel better it would drive me insane if you’re feeling up to it can you order off of the dining room menu, or simply the room service menu? And, also if feeling up to it, or you allowed to have alcohol delivered to the cabin? thank you for your honest assessment and information. Again, best wishes for a speedy recovery. m
  7. They will look at the time of your test, so at least 12:01 am on the 12th. My last test was time stamped my local time but was likely different than the time zone of the proctor. To be safe, just do it in the morning of the 12th and not at the stroke of midnight. M
  8. My thoughts as well, but apparently that is not the case any more. It did not appear to be an error. The person who reported it is a respected member of a Pinnacle social media group. Frankly, it likely doesn't happen often. But if the kid remains P at 18, then that status will hold and be passed to at least a spouse or significant other. That is assuming there is a RCCL or a C&A society in 18 years. Can you imagine having these same discussions for another 18 years! M
  9. Minor children of Pinnacles are now classified as Pinnacle. There was a recent rent post on another social media page regarding a 6 month old who is Pinnacle, because his (young) father is Pinnacle. Prior to this change there was another post about a teenager who actually sailed the required 700 nights and was awarded Pinnacle status. I think she was about 16. So when the 16 year old the 6 month old each marry and have children, their spouse and children will be Pinnacle as well. A new generation of YOUNG pinnacle cruisers. Yes - in the old days when baby boomers were still working it took years of cruising to reach Pinnacle But as many retire early and maybe enjoy life in Florida, jumping on a ship is easy. Now, 6 points per night for a single in a JS and the numbers add up fast. Fairly reliable internet makes working from a ship a reality. Throw in a few complementary casino cruises and there can be relatively little cash outlay to RCCL. Take a look at new Pinnacles. Younger and younger. M
  10. We've enjoyed Chill Beach way before it had a name. It was complimentary then and it is complimentary now. Even better as now I don't have to pay to rent an umbrella, they are complementary . We think the food is better and the crowds are more spread out. Plus our C&A drink vouchers work there saving us money and we can get internet if we want. The "old" coco cay cost us money but now the new version includes everything we used to have to pay for. A win-win for us. m
  11. Congrats. You will receive a letter in your cabin detailing on board benefits ( most are a % off something). They will be embedded in your sea pass card. The welcome amenity has been plate of cookies ( for years and for all levels) and you will get a bottle of water per cabin occupant. If you want and did not receive a lapel pin see the loyalty ambassador. Enjoy ps - I'm assuming you have already reached Emerald Status as the status benefits do not kick in till the cruise after you reach the level. M
  12. I suspect it is OK as Harmony has put books and games back in the game room. Plus, multiple people handle buffet tongs and that doesn’t seem to be an issue. Far fewer will handle a book. m
  13. We’ve had poor success asking for an MDR item in CK, even with advance notice. Staff were accommodating and did their best, but picked up the item from the main dining room (likely) several hours prior to our dinner. It was dried out by then. Now if we want an MDR item, we dine in the MDR. M
  14. Now you are on to something. Create a new adult only area and use the existing Beach Club for Suite/Pinnacle guests, similar to Barefoot Beach on Labadee. I'm sure that concept will go over big at corporate headquarters! M
  15. Sign me up - I like all of those things. πŸ₯– πŸΎπŸ§€ I'll have to start practicing that pinky thing .πŸ˜€
  16. I don't know what the area will be, or what it won't, except that Royal has announced that it will be adult only. To me it seems like competition for the existing Beach Club which might be good for the consumer as the beach club is now over $220 PER PERSON for an upcoming June cruise. Two "exclusive" areas might bring down the price of both. M
  17. So far, adults only. That is all we know. M
  18. Reached a block threshold in September on Mariner. They claimed they were out and were to send me a block, but never have. I've made two call and have given up. We are scheduled to sail Mariner later this month. I wonder if I can get it then? Wonder what I need to show them to prove I was due a block? M
  19. The info is there. As noted, It is in the compass and provided in the welcome paperwork. It has been a benefit for a while, maybe even pre covid. Years ago we had a bonus coupon per person for a Roulet or Craps. Passengers realized that if they used both coupons at once ( with opposite wagers) they were guaranteed a small win. So, the coupons were discontinued and we had a coin machine that generally provide a raffle ticket ( t shirt or even $ if you were lucky). Now we have the $6 play. Good luck to all!
  20. $6 for crown and anchor D and up. ( I know it is D and up, but not sure if it is offered on lower levels) for any day of the cruise. At least $2 more casino promo available the first and second day ONLY. If you are really lucky you might get more the than usual casino promo of $2. So, for those who redeem the offers the first or second day, you will have at least $8. Other will have $6. M
  21. Once on board, there are no protocols except for staff still required to wear a mask. Packed elevators, packed venues, tables inches apart in the dining room, etc. Of course, no masking for vaccinated guests. In fact, on oasis class ships (as recently as harmony – April) it is even worse as there are limited shows so fewer options per night for entertainment, Guests pile into the only show open. Basically, except for staff masking, business as usual. m
  22. Lucky lucky lucky.! πŸ’²πŸ’² m
  23. Check in time is not the same thing as boarding time. Check in time gets you into the building to check in, not specifically to board the ship. If you have an early check in time, you may likely get into the terminal early. Then you will need to wait in a designated area for boarding to open. However, when the ship is finally opened for passengers to board, they board by a hierarchy system without regard to check in time or when you entered the building. When boarding starts, it is an order something like suites/pinnacles, diamond plus key (or sometimes key then diamond plus) diamond then down the crown and anchor program. If you are a first time cruise or gold member even if you have the earliest check-in you will not be boarding until all the other groups have boarded. Once the initial rush has boarded, (takes about 30 minutes), you will likely be boarding once you go through the check-in process. m
  24. The casino promotion of two dollars (or possibly more) must be used on the first two days. If you are eligible for a crown and anchor promotion of six dollars, you can use that throughout the cruise. m
