  1. I recently received the rejection email about 10PM the first night I was already on board! M
  2. I'll come back to say, if there is a non connecting cabin, in a good location I'll take that. I don't seek out connecting cabins. Now it seems that RCCL often prices the connecting cabins HIGHER than non connecting cabins. They are a huge plus for families. M
  3. OK, Many, not most. Ritz Carlton, had a standard hotel room that connected to our suite. I know for sure because we booked it that way on purpose. Many of the standard roadside hotels like Hampton Inn, Fairfield etc. are set up with connecting rooms. Works great. We also find the set up it at beach hotels and many better Vegas properties. obviously, YMMV M
  4. Beach club is in the $250 PER PERSON range for most all of our upcoming cruises. $500 - Hard pass. M
  5. Now, umbrellas are complementary and are at every set of chairs. We used to rent one, so that is a new benefit for us. They also have a small table at every set of chairs. If you are traveling with a younger child, there is a terrific COMPLIMENTARY water park (#7 on the map) , complete with several slides, dump tower etc. We like the new complimentary food options. enjoy
  6. We've never had any major issues. Some connecting cabins have a chair rather than a couch/loveseat. I hear much more from other balconies than I ever hear from the connecting cabin. Most hotel rooms connect to a room next door as well. M
  7. We had family who did not get the internet package. We used the $1.99 per person per day messaging app. Worked great. App users could message each other or me. Husband and I had full internet service ( I still had to pay the $1.99 per day). I could get a message from the others, and if necessary text my husband ( I was often with him anyway) using our package. It wasn't as complicated as it sounds, and often I wasn't even part of the other's conversations. M
  8. We stayed on recently to get some work done, (Zoom calls) and there were crew drills all morning. I was constantly having to mute. Lunch options are limited, generally, often just the buffet, and if applicable, Coastal Kitchen. Pools will be empty, deck will be quiet. Not sure of that is an advantage to everyone, it is to me. Last cruise the stop in Nassau was like a sea day with so many staying on board. M
  9. Yes, people do it all the time. It is so sad that they book that cabin for a few extra square feet, rather than have it available for someone with a disability. Then there are some who have some minor issue and justify the assessable cabin. Again, the cabin is now not available for someone who really needs it it is my hope that if one day they truly need an accessible cabin, they do not come upon selfish people such as themselves m
  10. In our recent experience, all digital or all print. If you get digital, I think you could order a print for $5. Pus, if you are Crown and Anchor Diamond or above you can still get your one free photo. As long as one person in the package cabin is in the photo, you are good. We had some creative cabin booking( for various benefits) and that helped. We had grown daughter and me booked in one cabin. The photo package was for the cabin with my husband, son-in-law and grandchild. ( we were able to get proper cabin keys once on board) So we could get most any combination of photos except my daughter and me. The package was close to $300 on board, but about half that on the planner. We figured if we wanted 6 photos, we might as well get a package. I noticed that individual photos were $24.99 last week on Mariner. M
  11. I don't have the answer, and since there seems to be variations on ships, I don't know how you will get a dependable answer until you board. The number of D+ may make the determination for access. The good news is that you will have access to a Diamond Lounge. M
  12. Same place. Usually the solarium café is quite empty for dinner and very quiet. Shouldn’t be too much movement from deck chairs at that evening hour. The curtained off the room very nicely. Some of the other chef table venues are not as nice. One ship haas/had It in between the suite lounge and coastal kitchen. On another ship wad on one of the staircase landings of the main dining room. m
  13. Just returned for the Mariner Bermuda cruise. Royal will send a link for the Bermuda authorization. It can be started 30 days prior to the cruise. You fill out the form, upload your vaccination information and pay $40 pp . We were told we would have to upload the pre cruise Covid test, but then learned that wouldn't be necessary. We were also told we would need to re-test on bard ( RCCL would take care of it) because we had a few days and stops prior to the Bermuda stop, but that requirement changed while we were on board. Read your emails form RCCL and simply follow the Bermuda instructions. M
  14. Thanks, didn't get that from the post. Definitely speak to the LA first and second cruise. Be sure to hold on to the sea pass card from the first cruise. Not sure they will do a second recognition. I recall a few years back deferred recognitions were no longer permitted. Doubt he will be recognized on the second cruise. If the photo is important, they may allow you to stage one. We made Pinnacle on a 3 night cruise that did not have a top tier event. They offered to stage a photo. good luck M
  15. That is my relocation as well. The longest we've been on since the restart is 8 nights and no repeated menus. M
  16. Oh my. Who expected one would see kids on a family cruise line? And in the summer no less......... M
  17. I wish folks who don't want children onboard a family cruise line will consider taking a different CruiseLine/ or vacation and stop complaining about kids . If you don't want kids onboard, don't take a line that caters to families. And, don't sail over summer or a major US holiday and complain even louder. We've taken numerous cruises (many in the summer or over holidays) and can honestly say we've never been bothered by kids on board. Have we seen kids run in the hallway or get in the elevator before we've had a chance to get off, of course, but who cares? We recently sailed Easter week on Harmany with 1500 kids. NO ISSUES. Lighten up
  18. I see many blocks for sale on Ebay. Has anyone one on this thread wanted to sell one there, or if you listed one, have you been successful? Thanks. M
  19. You will likely be recognized on the first leg, the cruise on which your reach 700 points. You probably are aware that unlike other categories, pinnacle is most always recognized on the cruise reached. The jury is out on whether pinnacle benefits are awarded on that cruise or the next. Speak to the LA when you board the first leg. m
  20. We had 23 last week, 28 this week, with a nearly full ship. We were allowed access, but our keys did not open the door, either week. I’m not sure the number of pinnacles matters regarding the key working the door. Dudley was happy to exchange out our keys. Enjoy your cruises. m
  21. In the recent thread, no one felt the staff was at fault. I believe many felt the adults who asked a staff member to risk their job to serve a minor is what was wrong. Everything except alcohol is fair game, Including smoothies from the oasis class ship spas. m
  22. Covid issues on this and last week’s Mariner. Not only were there numerous cases on board, people on my social media cruise specific page many Jane posted testing positive once they’ve gotten home. Tonight, we have some canceled entertainment, for the second time this cruise. m
  23. We have access. I am currently on board B2B and for this cruise and last cruise our keys would not open the door. They only opened the door of the diamond lounge. The concierge had to give us new keys that allow us to open the suite lounge door. Came up in the evening twice so far and never saw more than a handful of people in the room in the evening. I’ve been in a few mornings for some coffee. YAY, the machine has decaf beans. Many of the machines have a decaf bin, but it is filled with regular beans. Luckily not the case in Mariner suite lounge.
  24. I agree with the poster above who guessed that the point structure would be the same but the benefits might (at some point) change. And of course change usually equates to reduce n
