  1. We were in the Mediterranean in May/June of this year. The weather was mild and pleasant.
  2. We took 4 cruise during the pandemic and waited until it was over to catch covid on this last cruise.
  3. I just called and added Simply More to our TA in 4/2025. $700 more per person but we make that up with the excursions. I found it curious that both my email contact at Oceania and their phone customer service, made a point of commenting that it was "significantly higher" than the original price.
  4. We both came down with it on the Celebrity Infinity in June. Yes, it's still out there.
  5. We've never received a discount for loyalty and we're Elite+
  6. Uh, that sounds more like unreasonable service. We had some problems on the cruise (covid) and they were incredibly helpful and generous.
  7. Yes, it's old and yes, it could use a refreshing but everything works and the staff is excellent. What exactly are you concerned about?
  8. It doesn't include our 3/4/2024 cruise on Millennium.
  9. Here's one of my favorite (and true) cruise stories: In 2004 we took a RC cruise to the Caribbean in late August. I've referred to it before as "the vacation from hell" because of all the various issues that occurred. The couple in the next room appeared to be honeymooners and never left their cabin. We knew what they were doing since we could hear everything that happened in their cabin. We ignored it since we knew they weren't aware of the problem and didn't want to embarrass them. Three days into the cruise, they cancelled the rest of the cruise and headed back to port because of Hurricane Frances. I had brought a couple of boxes of wine on the cruise and we decided to finish off what we could that last night. I don't think we were very noisy but the neighbors clearly did. About 10:30, man next door pounded on our door and demanded that we be quiet! My husband (in one of his finer moments) looked the kid in the eye and said "And you don't think we've heard you every night, quick shot Charlie! And now I'm done talking to you!" and slammed the door. It took almost a full minute before we heard his door quietly open and then close. We never heard them again.
  10. We were on the Infinity and we stayed in the same cabin.
  11. Are you talking about the Chef's Table or the Chef's Market?
  12. If you have covid, you don't pay for the testing or the medication. If you don't, you pay.
  13. I don't remember that being a difference in size but it's been a while since were in a Concierge room. If you're chasing points for the Captain's Club, it can be worth it.
  14. I'm not sure but I think those are the sweet sixteen cabins. Does anyone know for sure?
  15. Some of the Deluxe Verandas on deck 7 have double size balconies. We always try to book one of those. On our cruise last month, we were in 7177 and it was great.
  16. Yeah, I was very surprised.
  17. Usually, it's been 8 people. This last time, it was 7
  18. They didn't test him to see if he was negative. They just took his temperature.
  19. There was a confirmation in our cabin on embarkation day last month. The date was changed to an earlier date in a later note. It's a good thing too since we would have been in quarantine if they had held it when originally scheduled. They held as least 2 Chef's Table on that cruise.
  20. I’ve written before about having covid on our recent cruise. The TV and internet sucked but Celebrity treated us very well. However, there are a few lessons to be learned from the experience. For background, my husband was diagnosed with covid on the second day of our 10 day cruise (despite 4 vaccines/boosters). He was quarantined for 5 days. I realized that I had it too the next day but didn’t feel the need to see a doctor. I self-quarantined for the same days as my husband. The first day after the quarantined ended was a sea day. We went to Medical and my husband was cleared. He was later reimbursed for the cruise for the days he was quarantined. The next day we had an excursion booked in Santorini. We reported to the theater, waited for our number to be called and lined up for the tender. When they scanned my husband’s card, he was flagged as quarantined. The crewmember told us to go to medical. We found an officer who called medical and was told it was fixed. We lined up again to be scanned and, once again, were flagged as quarantined, as were the people behind us. They were just off covid quarantine too. The officer we had talked to called again and, I don’t know what she said to medical but we were cleared. When we got to the buses, ours was already gone and we were told another bus was also on the excursion and we could take it. We gave our tickets to the tour guide and climbed onto the bus. We had a great visit to Oia and headed to the Akrotiri ruins. We had just started around the ruins when I started to feel unwell. I passed out twice and had to be taken to the hospital. As we were leaving the ruins, our tour guide started arguing with my husband that were weren’t on her excursion. He tried explaining it to her and then gave up, figuring that it was her problem. By the way, the people at the hospital were great. I was there for about 4 hours, given an ECG, had a blood test and was given 2 liters of fluids and electrolytes. It turned out I was dehydrated. The total bill was $440. We didn’t report the incident to the ship since it was resolved. Lesson #1 – If you think you have covid, go to medical. If I had been diagnosed, I would have been reimbursed too. Lesson #2 – If you are quarantined, make sure that medical removes the notation on your cruise card. Lesson #3 – If you make a change to an excursion, make sure you explain it to the tour guide when you make the change. In our case, she must have figured it out since I got a call the next day from the ship telling me that they were reimbursing us for the excursion.
  21. I email to the same address and got no response. Thank you.
