  1. Have you been to the Geffrye Museum in Shoreditch? Actually I think it has changed it’s name to something easier to spell but less memorable. Museum of interior or furnishing or something like that.
  2. Oddly, the arrival time is given as 21.15 tonight. That would be Nab not docked, but still strange.
  3. If this is for consumption in your cabin, remember you can, in practice, bring whatever booze you like on board with you, if you don’t mind clanking a little.
  4. I think you’ll get back just too late to greet QE.
  5. You will get an extra hour’s sleep tonight because the clocks change.
  6. My TA always does, and it has never worked. I agree about the benefits of the choice to chat or not.
  7. I suspect neither carries much compared to cabin. And to be fair I would expect a nice window table I I had booked a Q1.
  8. If it’s a London hotel, I would simply get on the Piccadilly Line, and lambast Cunard when you get there.
  9. I must say that having done many cruises in the Vistas, usually in a Q4, occasionally a Q3, despite always requesting a window table when booking, which is usually as soon as voyages go on sale, we have not ever achieved one. I suspect we are simply insufficiently forceful. However, the view is usually good, even if not on a window table.
  10. The Grills restaurants on the Vistas are very much nicer, though the tables are still close together. I have always rather enjoyed this feature. After greeting the people at the next table, one can either chat or not, with no hard feelings either way.
  11. In 2019, we had a 9 night cruise, admittedly made up of bits of other voyages, where we had four formal nights, one added once we were on board.
  12. Yes, I do know that, and I thought I had implied that QM2 is the only one with that facility. However, a visit to the bridge used to be the culmination of the ship’s tour.
  13. There are some of these behind the bridge viewing area on QM2 but I can’t remember about the Vistas. All the ships used to do excellent small group ships tours, lasting about 4 hours for $120, but they don’t seem to have restarted after Covid.
  14. Vista PGs are long, thin, and disappointing. QM2 ones are very nice.
  15. I suspect there may be three menus, but that is just a guess, based on the number of weekly alc menus in the QG.
  16. They do offer various drinks packages. And also wine collections. A daily service charge is added. No tipping required as such.
  17. Of course it isn’t, but some of the things people write are extraordinary. There were people all over the place doing painting and varnishing and scraping on my Med. cruise in July, but she doesn’t do many Med. cruises, and I imagine TAs provide fewer opportunities.
  18. Now why out of all the delicious things you could choose a picture of, did you have to choose the devilish broccoli? I’m with the first President Bush on this, although, like a good girl, I eat it because it’s good for me.
  19. Never heard of the word. Russell Hobbs is a manufacturer. And I still don’t understand why you need to take one with you. I don’t think I’ve ever been in a hotel room without one, though not always in an obvious place.
  20. I know some people will steal anything they can, but really…
  21. Some bit of a car? Surely you’d need four? Still mystified.
  22. Sorry, as a UK cruiser, I have no idea what a hob is!
  23. Have you posted / Are you intending to post this in the reviews section. It would be a nice antidote to those claiming the ship is more or less falling apart. Thanks.
