We will be doing a three day post cruise stay in Rome the end of September. We have never been and will be traveling with another couple. I’m looking for hotel, tour\ site seeing recommendations.
I’ve read a few of the threads recommending the hotel Alberto Del Senato? We'll be staying here next month, I can provide an update when we get back.

You don't get the 'both' option anymore after COVID. It is strictly one time a day and they have adjusted the stewards assigned rooms as such.
We did, on Oct 21 cruise.

You can also request both. But we like evening. We don't sleep in, but sometimes we come back in the room to chill or to catch a nap. So we end up messing up the room. So night works for us, UNLESS, they can do it at about noon each day.

You can fill them out anytime. You are suppose to change if any changes before entering Italy. If no changes when you fill them out does not matter. I filled mine out months ago and printed. No changes since.
This is my understanding, any time greater than 3 days.

More of an FYI, but great site to see how on time your flights are: https://flightaware.com/live/flight/DLH457/history/20220405/0300Z/KDEN/EDDF

I was able to rsvp my seats for outbound on Lufthansa and inbound for British Air.

So if I'm fully boosted, but caught Covid in January, I don't need to take a test 1 day before boarding in Italy?
-
I'm having a hard time understanding the airlines rules! I've looked all over to get a STRAIGHT answer and can't find one. The airline is not taking calls. The website is confusing as HELL! I just need to know if we need to be tested 2 days prior to flying, or only be fully vaccinated? Lufthansa Airlines.

We will be in the same situation out of Civitavecchia but I’m not sure I want to deal with testing at the port. It would slow down embarkation by several hours while waiting on test results. We will take the proctored tests with us and test the day prior so hopefully it will speed up the boarding process for us.Does someone need to video you taking it?

If the crew is serving then we will try the buffet. Other than that we shy away from the buffets. Have witnessed too many nasty things in thirty-six years of cruising.
2024 will be 40 years of cruising. For the first 30 I pretty much ignored what I saw, the last 10 years, UGH, disgusted with what I see now! Coughers are the worse, hand pickers a close second, and I will call them out or tell the workers that this bumhole coughed\touched all over the food!

We're easy to please and open to anything. Any recommendations from fellow cruisers who love both Celebrity and Princess, on what your favorite unique-to-Princess things are?I already have MUTS as #1, and #2, a Toasted Almond Martini, delivered, via the Medallion app 😊TIA!
I've done many Carnival and RCL cruises, 1 NCL, 1 X (another next month) and 2 Princess. I will never cruise Princess again! Ships were boring, staff did NOT want to be there, some staff straight out rude. As a matter of fact, 99.9% or our group said never again (group of 15 and 20). Carnival treated us better! Anyhow, my 2 cents!

Hi,
If we wear clean, non-ripped pants and t-shirts, will we be turned away from specialty restaurants for dinner? No matter what night it is? We are a quiet couple, keep to ourselves, and really hate to pack for and dress up for dinner. We have never had a problem on our other cruise line, but I would hate to be unpleasantly surprised at being denied dinner at the restaurants of our choice on our cruise.
Thank for for your experienced answers, even if you do not approve! 🙂
I have a May cruise coming, I'll wear my Metallica or Iron Maiden t-shirt and see if they let me in 😉

You'll love it! Wife and I same age bracket as you. We just got back from Carnival Panorama, had a blast. We've sailed NCL once, loved it. Did many RCL and Carnivals cruises, loved them all. Did 2 Princess did NOT like! Did X once and loved it, we're going back in May for a 10 day Europe.
You'll enjoy the pampering and service over the others. The food is way better, in all venues! Shows ok, not as good as RCL. Older crowd, BUT STILL FUN! Dining room elegant that you really don't have to go elsewhere (Specialty Dining). Drinks and drink package awesome, best selection of beers that I've seen on any ship! You made the right choice/jump!

Every 5 year (anniversary), we do an AI or nice cruise. For 30th, we did 10 day ABC islands. Next month, for our 35th, we're doing a 10 day out of Rome. Going to have to figure something out for 40th, probable Hawaii or Fiji cruise.
