I do understand that and I was tempted to end it a day early, but it required so many changes for us, we just thought we would take a taxi up to the Ritz Carlton (close) and then walk down to Bergdorf for a little retail therapy. We don't figure on being off all day. It is an inconvenience, and the cruise line has handled this badly. We probably will never cruise with them again, but we are open minded.
  3. I am not sure that is for people who are already on the ship. How can they require you to be off by 8 and then not get back on until 7 PM?? Unreasonable.
  4. I am sure it will be just fine and I do have your prescribed number of days, perhaps on most of them.
  5. Seaborn does not have butlers. This isn't luxury. Had to go down to the desk daily to make reservations.
  6. I wouldn't mind it if it included endless caviar, lobster or elk!
  7. Especially those of us who have been affected, if we stay active on the boards and keep the public informed.
  8. Please tell me what they say. I am thinking about just ending the cruise on the12th and I want the 10% back sent to me now. I would use that to get a hotel of my choosing.

  14. I understand that there is no one to help you with your luggage when you check in? Is this true? If so, it is hard for elderly people to handle that???? Then, pardon my ignorance, but all cruise lines we have used in the past (many) have someone who can set your cell phone so you can use it on board. Is there any such person because I am not that computer literate?

  16. Knowng there is a hurricane in the mix now--how is it? How is the ship handling it. We are accustomed to these things, last being Sandy. Just would like to know what to expect.

  23. Well, I for one am completely happy with this size ship and I just think people have not heard about Explora. The longer cruises is very much to my liking. I hate the shorter ones.
