    Of course it's the Montagu Arms, we've stayed here 3 times pre-cruise. https://www.montaguarmshotel.co.uk/ They do a Cruise parking package and it's a lovely spot. We've been in 3 different rooms and they've all been very comfortable. I'm slightly worried that the step up to the toilet could be a problem during the night though !

    After a very long gap, Mr HH & I will be boarding Queen Victoria tomorrow. I'm just finishing a glass of champagne in the garden of our hotel in the New Forest so it's time to declare this holiday started !

    We're at our hotel for the evening, we've had an upgrade apparently! It's a lovely big room so I can believe it.

    But she does spend a lot less time in port than ships during regular cruises.

    I'm sorry that you were so disappointed by QM2. The Carinthia lounge used to serve light lunches, do they not have food there at the moment? We're not buffet fans so we very rarely use the Kings Court or Lido, there are other options and there is always a sandwich option in the Britannia restaurant.

    Last day at work for me and that nagging feeling that I have forgotten to do something important! We were discussing having a follow up meeting in 6 weeks, that turned out to be November 😱. I'm definitely not ready for that !

    How was your cruise @Colin_Cameron ? I've made a start on packing but have spent most of the day watching the processions and services for our late Queen's funeral. I didn't really plan to but every time I tried to stop watching something else impressive or moving happened.

    Sorry to hear that you had such a disappointing experience. We have done a few short cruises and they are obviously different but we have still found them enjoyable.

    Was there any explanation? Seems like a good swap to me but I guess not everyone will be happy.
