Teppanyaki and parents of teens watchout!

Thank you for the suggestion! I will pass the info along. -
Just learned my cruise is a Soca cruise
disneylover89 replied to OrangeCatRamblers's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Who is going to stop a crowd of that size (based on youtube videos) doing exactly whatever they want? I very much doubt NCL security will be able to handle them from taking over what ever they want to. -
Teppanyaki and parents of teens watchout!
disneylover89 replied to Lionkingrichard's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Thank you for the heads up. My nephew is 15 with special needs and would never eat the food at Teppanyaki, his parents intend to bring him to the buffet first to eat because he eats very, very few foods and then have him sit with us during our meal. I see now that will be a problem. We did not think this would be a problem but I can understand why it would be but everything in life is not so easy and uncomplicated for everyone and a little understanding and kindness goes a long way. -
Thank you for all your information and links!! I will keep my eyes open for reviews and ask again as we get closer to our June cruise and make a decision whether the excursion is worth it or not. At this point it seems to be $100 for 4 loungers and access to restrooms so not too bad. Maegan Beach charged for loungers too and it's much more crowded there.

I guess you enjoy paying more for less. I don't.

Did you pay your final payment yet? If so, they will send you another confirmation showing you're paid in full and on the upper right hand corner there will be a code (WATER6PK) for the 6 liters of water. If it has the code, you should get the water, print out the confirmation and bring it with you.

I don't think people are upset about service being cut from twice a day to once a day, they are upset because there was a $4 per day, per person price increase for the service that was now cut down to once a day.

I'm so confused, this link shows the beach is closed until March Notice: Services Closed at Honeymoon Beach | News of St. John (newsofstjohn.com). The video you linked was in the beginning of January when the beach concessions was supposedly closed. I really hope someone who has been on this excursion chimes in as to how it is now, but the excursion may not even be offered for cruises happening now because they did not expect renovations to be completed yet. I see these are the prices for Caneel Beach Club. Caneel Bay Beach Club – St. John US Virgin Islands.

I have to think that if this is an excursion with NCL, there is more to it. I read that Honeymoon Beach is closed down and should reopen in March. If it is this desolate, I will have to rethink this excursion. Notice: Services Closed at Honeymoon Beach | News of St. John (newsofstjohn.com)

We have an excursion booked with NCL called "St John Eco Hike & Beach". This includes the boat to St John's then you hike a mile to Honeymoon Beach and then hang at the beach for the rest of the day. Does Honeymoon Beach not have restroom facilities? Is there no where to purchase food or drink?

Has anyone taken this excursion with NCL? What did you thing? Does Honeymoon Beach have restrooms?

If you rent an umbrella, can you put it wherever you want or are there designated areas for the umbrellas? Are you able to reserve an umbrella online?

I just wanted to update.... Even though the water is no longer visible on my reservation on the APP or website, today I paid in full and I was emailed the paid in full receipt and the 6 bottles of water per person is listed in the promo codes so maybe we will get our water. This will definitely come in handy for our beach and hiking excursions.

For some reason, when you book the Escape, it only shows guarantee balconies. You have to call to pick your room, it does not mean there is nothing left. I booked in October and had to call and plenty of cabins were available.

Reservations for speciality restaurants and shows
disneylover89 replied to maggieq's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Do you know what time reservations open on the 120th day? I cannot remember for the life of me if it was 12:00am, 6:30am (EST) or something else completely. -
Thank you for the review! Were you able to purchase add ons while you were there? My daughter would love to swim with the dolphins or sea lions but the rest of us would not. Is there a pool there to cool off in? Was it crowded?

NCL ESCAPE - FEBRUARY 11-18 - LIVE REVIEW
disneylover89 replied to devinelaw's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Thank you so much for posting all this great info! I did not see a sign up for Bamboozled on the entertainment sheet, do you know how and when you can sign up for it? -
Just curious, how do they save money? Not being snarky, I just don't understand how.

Muster drills to return to pre-Covid style
disneylover89 replied to MeHeartCruising's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
It seems that NCL is more of a stickler for safety, not a bad thing but can be a bit annoying. Royal and Carnival allow balcony partitions opened where NCL considers this a safety issue, just another example. -
NCL ESCAPE - FEBRUARY 11-18 - LIVE REVIEW
disneylover89 replied to devinelaw's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Curious to see if your fan makes it on. I use one every night and cannot sleep without it, but I heard a lot of people get theirs taken away, even the USB kind so I was going to leave mine home. -

I had the same issue with trying to book on the Escape at 8 months out. No way to pick a room, I had to call and speak to my PCC and there was plenty of cabin choices available.
