  1. There are some fabulous software packages to be had for newsletters/papers and the cost would be minuscule in the scheme of readership. Whatever, for a paper edition you need someone to prepare edit then print. That same person could manage an electronic edition would be wonderful on the app, so efficient without all the cost of paper wastage and the inks used. These packages allow readership numbers to be monitored, and have instant update facilities. I am not a youngster, but a retiree and all for looking forward and being as “green” as possible.
  2. Same thing on adult only Virgin ships! I would not participate, and as for more plastic waste? I hope none end up in the ocean.
  3. I am sure there are USB ports in the newer aft suites on QV.
  4. I think you find ordering off menu is more the preserve of QG! Having said that, I don’t think you will be disappointed with the menu and quality of food that is on offer. As far as check in is concerned, arrive at your given time, which is priority boarding, and you will be able to have lunch in the PG restaurant, at your leisure.
  5. Thank you for this, as we have a B-to-B on QA next year and staying in same accommodation.
  6. Lobster size QM2 2005! Delicious. In Britannia restaurant.
  7. Well so much for the Cunard forward promotion, of being accessed by keycard only! This will certainly annoy me, to be honest. If one pays a premium for a facility, it should be kept as it was sold for. Is the gate kept “free” as a H&S issue in an emergency, would you say?
  8. Is there anyone who can give me first hand information of how the QA forward facing suites were? They look spacious and quite appealing, so tempered to book one: the Q3 in particular, but it depends on availability! We have had these suites on other lines, sailing from the americas, but in much warmer/calmer waters and loved the double aspects, especially frontal on sea days. For us the aft/mid suites are fine on the 2 vistas, but just thinking of a change. Thank you.
  9. I thought they did away with trays in the Lido a while ago.
  10. I am afraid they have not put this on the VP, but I happened to find out from Cunard. Masquerade is my least favourite, but seems to be happening more.
  11. V426P QV 3.11.24 5th Nov B&W 11.11. Masquerade 13.11 Red & Gold
  12. If booking PG, avoid deck 8 under the buffet. There have been many reports on this board of noise from above. This category would give you access to the Grills terrace which would give you outstanding (almost 360 degrees) viewing in comfort.
  13. It is about time this was overhauled, as some benefits are becoming unworkable or pointless depending on which port embarkation is at. Based purely on the number days, would be fairer! It seems ludicrous that you can become a Diamond WC after 15 x 3 nighters. I I am sure many years ago to gain any progression the voyage had to be a minimum number of nights.
  14. This is a Q4 on QE. We never had the sofa bed used. Space might be a premium once made up for 3 in the evening, and there is the table to hideaway somewhere! For 2, these suites are very comfortable. It is up to to you to decide, but if 3rd person is a child, then probably ideal and you will manage.
  15. Db51 I believe you can change cabin in same grade (If available) without charge. The suites on deck 8 are much more modern, but maybe slightly smaller, than those on decks 4 & 5.
  16. With reference to Iona, you have very kindly answered my concerns, as a shower over/in bath is not an option for us.
  17. Can you please tell me if these rooms have just shower, or shower in the bath? The latter would be totally unsuitable for us.
  18. From Cunard webpages re Grills Terrace. Take pleasure in the sweetness of doing nothing, whiling away hours in the beautiful Grills Terrace, exclusive to guests of our Princess and Queens Grill Suites. Accessed with your suite room key, this peaceful space features two infinity hot tubs with a view out to the horizon, as well as an array of different seating options, ideal for sunbathing with a book or enjoying a glass of something cold and some nibbles. Attentive waiters are on hand to attend to drinks orders and other requests, and to ensure that your time spent here is as idyllic as possible. Found in a central location, the Grills Terrace is a superb option for relaxing after lunch, before heading back to your suite to get ready for the evening ahead. ……………… If this is open to all, without any kind of card access, it will become a bun fight for a seat. An appealing area with infinity hot tubs, who wouldn’t want to be there? I for one, would be extremely annoyed if that does happen, after the huge premium paid for PG/QG.

    Queen Anne

General impression so far very pleasing with one or 2 exceptions. Like Windsurfboy, concerned about the GrillsTerrace as a walk through. If this is the case the area will be deluged with interlopers, as the small infinity pools will be a massive draw! I am sure I have read somewhere, that this area has secure access. I look forward to hearing if this is so.

    B2B Pricing

Booked a back to back from UK a few weeks ago for ‘25; in same room and priced per voyage as seen.
  21. Not so I am afraid! I know Cunard is place per child these days. Below is from P&O webpage Child registration You can register each child 14 days ahead of your holiday at my.pocruises.com. You can book a session once on board. If there is a high demand for a session then we unfortunately cannot guarantee a place for every child.
  22. 5196? Is this a typo error? We have been in the aft suites deck 5, on QE and loved them; our preferred location. Personally we avoid the corner cabins as enjoy the considerably larger inside space of the Q6s and the balcony is plenty large enough for 2.😊 There are comfy rattan recliners with foot rests as well as a small table with chairs.
  23. We have twice (different voyages) asked if wagyu steak can be served for my husband on QV, and both occasions told this is only possible to have in the Verandah restaurant.
  24. No, registration opened early in the morning each day!
  25. On Iona, Feb half term this year, there were over 1500 under 18’s!
