I thought Amber Cove only had room for 2 ships??

I don't have the answer but I just smiled at this post because this is exactly what I'm trying to figure out on the Escape! I thought I was nutso for being this crazy over how to unpack- but I am the kind of person that NEEDS organization or I have mental problems. So glad to see someone else wondering the same!

so based on your comment it would seem that if there are already 2 ships set for Amber Cove and Taino is out- they just skip the port? Ugh. I'm due in PP at the end of February. I hope they figure out Taino before then.

Ugh. What a bummer! If you want a drink in your room it looks like you are screwed paying full price--even with the drink package. So ridiculous. It is what it is!

Bummer. Other lines offer deals where you can order 6-12 cans in advance at a good cost savings. I guess we will just grab what we can with our drink package and try to stock up LOL

Other cruise lines allow for the prepurchase of beverages for your cabin - like water, cans of soda, energy drinks etc. Does Norwegian allow this? I can't find any way to buy any beverages online for our cruise.

Odd question--but can you remove the hangers completely from the closet or are they connected to the bar?

I understand not being able to add it until 180 days out but 'if available'? What does that mean? Maybe if you are flying from some really small place and there isn't a flight the day before or something at all?

People never fail to crack me up. I don't eat/like any meat, seafood or pasta...the menus look terrible to me. There is nothing to eat for me. I want 5 star dining on a mass marketed cruise ship with 6000 other guests onboard. Are you people for real?! 🤣

I have read on another popular board that they are currently dredging Taino more to make it possible for the larger ships to get in there more easily. Until then- expect the larger ships to head to Amber Cove. How long? Anybody's guess. With that said? ---I doubt NCL wants to pay Carnival for access to AC any longer than they have to. I'd expect them to be fixing it ASAP.

Add this cost with the new gratuities and other extra fees that are popping up everywhere and I get why people are looking around at other lines. It is what it is- NCL will change if they find people don't want to pay whatever costs they throw at people....OR --much like Disney--people will still pay it no problems and the ships will sail full. Supply and Demand.

Not sure- it's coming in at 179.93 for my cruise for the streaming package per device. That's for a 7 nighter. What does yours say?

Wondering what percentage of people actually bid on Havens...based on my particular cruise there are about 1600 cabins that could potentially bid on a Haven room---and there are currently 32 left for a cruise past the final pay date. I guess there is no way to know!

Effective Jan 1, 2023 - mini suites and below will be 20/pp/pd and suites will be 25pp/pd. If you already have a cruise booked and you pay the gratuities BEFORE sailing you can pay the current lower rate. If you choose to pay onboard- you will pay the new (higher) rate.

I absolutely agree! I am hearing a TON of people booking MSC lately b/c of all the high costs of the other lines. Could be interesting as I have heard negatives re: MSC but considering it myself for next Fall. We are booked on NCL Escape in February but the pricing for MSC is very attractive and I'd be far more forgiving given their price point- sorta like the 'budget brand'.

Anyone have an uptodate menu? like from the past week on a cruise that is charging the 4.95? --I keep seeing various menus and it's confusing.

YUP! It's optional. When I booked I was able to uncheck the boxes of things I didn't want (drinks/dining).

So I made the reservations. I have 2 free meals coming...how do I tell them I want to use one of my free meals for that meal? Do I tell the waiter?

Ok, I'll bite....how does this work with kids drinks? We have the drink package, my son has the soda package. There is no package for mocktails like on Royal. My son wants a virgin daquiri. I'm allowed to get 2 drinks when I walk up to the bar. I order my 2 drinks and hand them my card...the bartender asks why...I tell him to charge the daquiri b/c it's for my son and there is no premium kid package like on RC...he hands it back and doesn't charge me. Am I free to take the freebee or am I a big lying loser destined for H E double hockey sticks for my sin against Norwegian (and God).
