  1. Interesting… kind of looks like this is an Eagle Brand condensed milk recipe called Magic Cookie Bar. Think I’ve made that before, will have to try again (cheaper than a cruise- not as much fun though)! On the Gallery website looks like they cut it long, rectangular finger shaped. Looks yummy. Thanks for sharing and inspiring!
  2. I REALLY miss the paper! I find them too small to be logical to read. I get that ,any probably were tossed. Oh well.
  3. I recently booked an i/s and did a CO upgrade but really couldn’t see many i/s that were a better option. There are a few that were slightly bigger, or maybe more central, but they were already taken. Fairly last minute booking. This was Koningsdam. I havent sailed in i/s a lot… are there other features I could have looked for making one more desirable than another? Thanks!
  4. Check cruisedeckplans.com - has a cool feature to see what’s below and above your cabin. And, there may be reviews. Also as said earlier, there is a searchable spreadsheet and cabin reviews here on cruise critic as a sticky in the celebrity forum.
  5. Check out cruisedeckplans.com - they have a cool feature that you put in your cabin and it shows what’s above and below. Also can click your cabin and if there are negative reviews you can read about it. CC also has spreadsheets linking to cabin reviews for some ships, some cabins.
  6. Yes, thanks, done that. Lots are getting upgrades for under capacity sailing #2 so was hopeful this meant something was changing, but so far nothing.
  7. D’oh, should have remembered to do that. Thank you. 4.13.1.
  8. where do I go in the app to see what version I’m using?
  9. Has anyone had experience where the medallion shows different cabins than the website? I’m doing a b2b and booked a guarantee balcony on the 1st cruise and a guarantee i/s on the 2nd. The website shows my assigned balcony # and assigned i/s #. The app shows one combined cruise now (I’ve had it do this before for a b2b), not 2 separate, and shows the assigned i/s cabin for the combined cruise. I’m assuming this is a hiccup but it’s been this way for a few days and hasn’t sorted itself out. I guess if it’s showing one 9 night cruise on the app, vs a 7 + 2 it would be impossible to show 2 different cabins. I’m inclined to leave it in the hopes it’ll sort itself, but it would be a drag/ comedy/ frustration/ interesting experience, to show up and have the i/s be my cabin for both sailings! Less than a month til sail away!
  10. Crystalspin - you’re a ROCKSTAR! Thanks!
  11. Thanks!! Those are no longer available on the sailing I’m looking at, but they did catch my attention. Interesting video.
  12. Considering an inside on Koningsdam. Does anyone have any amazing must try to get inside cabins that I would be wise to try to book with my Club Orange purchase (assuming it’s available)?
  13. I’ve used battery mini lights. Very pretty and I leave them on all night in the bathroom.
  14. Thanks… but sadly the pricing specialist wouldn’t discuss with me as I booked with a TA. She told me to get the TA to call. TA did call (before I talked with pricing specialist and they said I’d lose all my perks - which makes no sense as the lower price still includes perks). I asked her to call again and speak to a pricing specialist. Haven’t heard back. I’d better follow up.
  15. Hey Cdn_Traveller. As a fellow Canadian I wouldn’t book with a non Canadian TA but I do find the the vacations 2 go website (spell out that number like “to”) to be informative when looking for singles deals. Top right hand side they have a pull down menu for singles cruises with low single supplements. You can sort in order of cruise line or destination or supplement%.
  16. Oh! I didn’t see the retired option. Thanks.
  17. Looks like Canada and US and you need to select the school, BUT, looks like actively working, not retired. Please post if you were successful at receiving!
  18. We were onboard for Easter and they made the raison buns into hot cross buns. So yummy.
  19. Thanks. My TA said I’d lose perks and my cabin. I’ll try calling the CO number.
  20. Hi there. Sometimes, if I’m lucky, I can get my cruise fare reduced if the price goes down after I’ve booked but before final payment. I notice Have It All says “Low Price Guarantee” is included. Does anyone have experience with how this would work with CO? I’ve deposited on an obstructed balcony and CO allowed me to chose a better balcony. That better category of balcony is now, of course, waitlisted. The obstructed balcony is now a few hundred $ cheaper and is still available. I’m imagining, HAL will say I could refare, but I’d have to drop my better balcony, risk it not being available, then rebook at lower fare, and try to re-grab the better balcony. Has anyone had success with a fare reduction when CO is involved? Any possibility of a substitute perk like SBC being offered instead of risking the loss of my better balcony for a price reduction? Thanks for any wisdom/experience.
  21. Our local newspaper still has a Saturday travel section. There are usually 5-10 cruises advertised with different local TA’s. That might be a place to start looking for a local agent? If nothing else, it will be a springboard to get you some inspiration and ideas?
