  1. They’re obviously finding this to be more challenging than they expected! I’m confident that things will run more smoothly once we step onboard. In fact, I’ve heard that exact comment, about multiple cruise lines. I love that the basic veranda cabin is barely more than the deck seven. And I agree with Larry, the Aquamarine is a reasonable increase, too. Remember, you all do you, I’ll do me.
  2. That’s exactly as I feel. I’ve narrowed down my choices and am merely awaiting pricing and ports of call. Which I expect to see before 4 pm today. Mr B isn’t ready to book a Jr CP yet, so you’ll (hopefully) find me on Deck Seven.
  3. Now THAT is a BIG piece of the puzzle. I don’t think I can get there without two stops. Instead I think I’ll fly to Paris for a day or two. This is getting very exciting!
  4. Oh, no! Sorry to hear that OLoPP was on the downslope, last evening. I feel like those Riccola cough drops help me. Perhaps they could augment her Robitussin? I bought the honey lemon flavor. And certainly not happy to hear you’re dealing with a travel challenge. But definitely glad to hear you’re on the upswing.
  5. Even though, YOUR doc didn’t recommend Paxlovid, perhaps HERS will. At my house, we are two old people and one immuno-compromised. We all use the same doc, and he prescribed it for all three of us. And he was taught by Mr B in med. school, AND has proven himself to be staying VERY current with the literature. But again, of course, Vince taught me well: YMMV.
  6. Now won’t it be fascinating, if she was telling the honest truth, about itineraries coming out Monday?!
  7. Glad you weren’t much bothered, Beav, and same to you, KenzSailing. Imagine, it’s almost three years since we heard about Covid.

    Firenze

I guess we’ve all learned something about the Carnival mods. Please pardon our snarkiness, Eli. We’re getting antsy around here! Best wishes to you for a great cruise on Firenze.
  9. My driver for my two open booking deposits was the same as Keith. I want first crack at my preferred category and location. The reason I made two is that I have two different friends who like to cruise with us, and they’re mutually exclusive. I should’ve made a third, b/c we also like to cruise alone!
  10. I’m actually hoping to get an email from Crystal, even before I read it here. I was hoping for today. 😳😉🙄🙃😌
  11. If I told you once, I told you a million times, don’t exaggerate! Plus, I must disagree with your premise. In Dec. of 2022, we cruised in an oceanview stateroom on Celebrity Constellation for $72.50 per person per day. In three weeks, we’ll be boarding Brilliance in an oceanview for $140.50 per person per day. No perks on either reservation. The Connie was a great bargain, and I consider the Brilliance to be a tad overpriced. Still, you can clearly see that our per diem is almost twice as much on Royal, in this case. We’re so lucky to have them both going out of Tampa.
  12. On Celebrity, there are still pillow chocolates every night.
  13. Me too but my towels at home are thicker and larger than on a ship.
  14. Could be the Vintage Room, or extra visits to Prego and Umi Uma, for some categories. If all visits are up charges, I think that’s the best way to use obc. I didn’t see spa visits. Time will tell.
  15. Imagine taking advice from a total stranger. How about you do you, and I’ll do me.
  16. I think they used info of what happened in 2022 to adjust for 2023. And I think they took this long to get it all booked. It’s nothing the guest can control. Have a great time!
  17. I am expecting Nov. but hoping for Oct.
  18. Evidently Houghton was cancelled more times than it was visited in 2023. If I’m thinking of the right place, we lived Silver Islet.
