  1. Crew shortage. Had the same problems on Jewel. Same issues in MDR.
  2. Tell them use want to use your D drinks (8) for the cabin. Some bartenders know how to to do this, so it's hit or miss.
  3. Haven't seen it since covid, but there was always a sign at guest services on day one, to the effect, there are no upgrades, the ship is full.
  4. Radiance class ships usually schedule 45 minute shows at 7:15 and 9:15, with adult shows around 9:30.
  5. This is a restriction of the tour operators. RCI doesn't run tours, they are the agent. Insurance.
  6. C&A discounts have been buried by RCI rules. They made a comeback before, so maybe...
  7. I don't remember DirecTV beling part of what's on a RCI ship. It's ESPN and a contract with the NFL.

  9. That's the current plan. I'm not looking for a refund, just not a $750 loss. FCC would be the best outcome. I'm just looking for alternatives, and call my TA to start the what I hope would be a negotiation. Right now we are looking maybe to transfer this one reservation to a new date. The problem here is there is no way to match that JS price. The changed date would cost us even more money. Oh well...
  10. Very true. It's just that nothing had to be done until now. The penalty remains the same. We always thought one parent would stay home.
  11. The problem is there are 2 adults and one (free) child on the reservation. RCI would resell that JS and make even more money.
  12. My wife, Grandma, even offered to stay behind. No go. Baby is brand new. They may change their mind by November, but then I would lose even more money.

  14. Yeah it's all last minute. My son and older granddaughter don't want to go without mommy; understandable. Bargain of the century, 7 days, 3 passengers in a JS for $2,400!
  15. That's what I thought. It's only easy for RCI to cancel not the passenger.
  16. Thought I would throw this out to the group. Maybe there is something I haven't thought of. Can I change all three names on the cabin or just...??? I booked my family on an Anthem 70th birthday cruise in November 2022 in three cabins. It was booked March 2021, but doesn't qualify for CWC. My new granddaughter missed the RCI 6 month cutoff by 3 weeks. So now one family can't go in their JS. Final payment is due August 1st. It looks like I stand to lose my $750 JS deposit. I'm on Jewel right now which just makes it harder to talk with my TA. It's just very annoying that RCI has canceled a dozen of my cruises over the past 2 1/2 years!

  18. I have purchased two Citizen watches on a ship and I'm very happy. The discount is no longer 40%, but 35%. That said, I've checked pricing, and the ship pricing on Citizen is the best I've found. Also there are so many Citizen's models, many use the cheapest model price as an example of bad ship pricing. They are not all the same! At the end of the day, I save at least the 6% state sales tax. The vendor that runs the shops does report the purchase to customs so don't try to hide it. Buy your watch EARLY in the cruise to make sure it works! They will size it for you.
  19. On Jewel today. Last night we got our certificate, but no benefits until our next cruise.
  20. This is driving me nuts. We purchased a suite guarantee and got stuck with cabin #1054 on Jewel OTS out of Amsterdam. It has 2 bedrooms, and is huge. My problem, NO BALCONY. From what I've been able to research, this used to be the concierge club. RCI refuses to call it a GS, and won't allow me to switch because of the weird cabin category YT. I don't want this cabin. Feels like a catch-22.
