  1. I haven't seen any single supplements for less than 100% in years. I'd be happy to get 79%.
  2. The 12 day sailing to the Panama Canal on March 17 was changed to an Eastern Caribbean.
  3. Well, you have to go through your TA so your only option is to call him again. Or call his supervisor.
  4. I have given up the discounts of TAs to be able to control my own booking by dealing directly with Holland America.
  5. When you book Club Orange, you are booked at the lowest category and then upgraded to the highest category in that meta category. That is probably why your price is lower.
  6. Your TA is not helpful enough. They should be able to negotiate something for you. HAL doesn't have to do anything but often they will. Call your TA again and be more aggressive.
  7. I would definitely try to get the credit before you get on the ship.
  8. "Bad Request" still there today. And, the feedback button is missing.
  9. One of the problems with nonrefundable deposits is that you can't make any price adjustments as Ken the Cruiser pointed out. And, they are very tricky about it. You assume that this would be the fare clearly identified as nonrefundable. But, it also looks like you can get the Crew Appreciation added to the HIA which is usually a refundable deposit. But, if you read the fine print, it seems to make that a nonrefundable deposit. You have to be very careful.
  10. "Bad Request" is back again. It had been missing for a few days.
  11. I'm not familiar with how that works. Does that make a difference? Could it still be nonrefundable?
  12. Please make sure you still have a refundable deposit. That's where I had the problem. They would add the crew appreciation but the deposit would become nonrefundable.
  13. Do you still have a refundable deposit? I currently am booked under the advantage fare and added Club Orange and HIA (for $50 per day) and was told that the Free Prepaid Crew Appreciation could not be added.
  14. Wow! I can't believe that people can be so rude to a poster who has provided much valuable information to this site.
  15. I agree that having 9 cruises on courtesy hold is excessive and I'm not debating whether that is right or wrong. What I have a problem with is a booking being deliberately cancelled while it is on courtesy hold. If the system works the way it is supposed to, those booking would automatically cancel on the date the deposit is due, usually between one and five days. It is hard for me to accept that a PCC has a right to cancel a booking before that date.
  16. I'm okay with it cancelling because of lack of deposit. But the original poster said that the PCC cancelled it deliberately before payment was due.
  17. But, back to the original question - I don't understand how a PCC could just cancel your cruise if it was on a courtesy hold. I would pursue this with a supervisor just for the satisfaction of making it right.
  18. I would much rather have 2 less expensive rooms - either inside or outside - than try to cram 4 people into a balcony stateroom. It would really be crowded. If you want to be together, get connecting rooms. At least then you would have more room and two bathrooms.
  19. The Club Orange payment is only nonrefundable if you don't cancel the cruise. If you cancel the cruise, then the CO payment is refunded to your method of payment.
  20. It might all just be a matter of luck when it works.
  21. Another workaround is to not enter your mariner number. But, I really think it is just an intermittent glich and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It really should be fixed.
  22. You have to really want to book a cruise with HAL to put up with how hard it is. The website is terrible and if you call, most of the reps have problems. The only way to get decent help is to ask to speak to a pricing specialist who seem to be people with more experience.
