I erred.....this wasn't a 60 Minutes Program last night, but a follow up hour to it.

We also had a sail away on the Retreat deck....not as enjoyable as the Helipad IMO as it was 'per usual'.

I watched an episode on 60 minutes re 'whale watching in Antarctica'....so interesting! They were onboard the Endeavor with many scientific Zodiac trips through the ocean. Comprehensive examination of whale behaviour including how they do 'pregnancy tests' with crossbow. Your pics are just what we saw in this show. Those who can be there in person are some of the lucky few. BTW...LOVE your pics...closest I'll be to the real thing.

You may have made an impression with someone who forwarded your cabin #...or...they just liked your face.....😉

We've enjoyed our experiences on sail away. Some we had no CC status, another we were E, and then E+. So no real reason...I've heard sometimes a room steward will recommend someone who has been courteous to them; also the hostess may have extended the invite (do they even exist now?). And usually invites to suites and/or Zeniths. No real reason sometimes. One was cancelled due to weather but made up for at the next port. The best was sailing out of Venice so slowly in 2013! A beautiful memory. Turned down last 2 invitations....DH has a bad back and finds walking/standing for any length of time a problem (no chairs available). But for us we think it's very kind to be invited. Captains Table dinner also, when they issued invites, was enjoyable...meeting new people and the lovely way the hostess organized the event.

Which is why I REALLY prefer they leave the balcony furniture as is. For years I've done the same as your DW.....broken sleep patterns and I love hearing the waves going back to sleep on the balcony....😊.

Thank you so much for your upbeat, positive review with just a hint of what could be negative. Nice to hear this kind of report. You mentioned you had footstools...there's a thread here that says they were removed on the Silhouette I think the same date as your sailing or around that time.

We were on Silhouette in Nov. '23 and chairs and footstools were on our balcony then. Asked for a lounger and steward 'tried' to get one, but he said he was 'caught' coming down the back stairs with it...LOL....and had to return it. Now I have to resort to paying for footstools to be abducted from somewhere they are hiding them.

Only saw pics of the cabin, but this ship is absolutely not for me...Looks pretty bare bones and a tacky curtain on the closet?? What does the rest of the ship look like I wonder.

What a shame it's come to a 'bring your own' footstool. Next we'll be slinging a fold up chair which will recline. Hopefully the recliner chairs won't be next replaced by the E class style of comfort. I wonder if this is only on Equinox and not across the S class ships?

We bring US $ cash for offshore dining or drinks/tips; for more expensive purchases we use our Canadian Visa card and the bank's exchange.

OMG...awful! needs padding but those 'stick's could be dangerous walking into them.

One of us in the past has dis-remembered...LOL....I went to IT Lab and they reinstated the time. There's a log they have access to and can tell it's minutes not used. Hopefully this helps others.

by me for sure...when DH and I both have 240 it's all we need to carry through our cruise.
