  1. Interesting. Had one from 2019 on X, they applied it to my Royal Cruise last yr. But you know R.C.I.- Royal Constantly Inconsistent. Though mine was used with other Royal FCC to pay off Royal Cruises, not a Deposit
  2. Happens more then you realize. I Booked a Repo for this Fall just 6 months ago. 3rd one like this that less then a yr in my resent memory. Has advantages, can Book Flights and Hotels right away which Beats my other usual Fall Cruises that when Booked had 560 or more Days to go until my Ship's Sailed. Had lot of the 1.5-2yrs out Bookings changed/Canceled, less likely with less then a yr
  3. True, though Little Stirrup Cay was Correct Name of the Originally Royal Leased Island itself. Was first at LSC/Coco Cay myself about 30yrs ago, at Labadee 35yrs ago. Seen alot of Changes. From an Article over a Decade ago: "Carnival Cruise Lines has announced on select five-night sailings of its Carnival Fascination will swap out a stop at Key West for the private island of Little Stirrup Cay, which is better known to Royal Caribbean fans as Coco Cay.
  4. Few yrs ago Labadee had 3 Ships stopping there multiple times. Think one would Tender in. Can't remember all the Lines that stopped at Royals 2 Islands but Carnival was one of them
  5. Ate Dinners in WJ on Serenade and Jewel last Fall, if hasn't changed there was many Gluten Free choices in there, lot more then in Main Dining. My Daughter's Diet so always watching
  6. Agree, doesn't happen from Ships Water
  7. Celebrity and even 1-2 other lines have stopped at Royal Private Islands in the past
  8. Weather Warnings there had ended for a while before Ship sailed. Not knowing what they did at time sometimes popup events are unavoidable.
  9. Agree, having a Chief Meteorologist same situation would have happened.
  10. Muster after 12:15am and at 3:10am MSC finally leaving
  11. Well if leaving after midnight assume its am as he said. Ship, along with Carnival's are still sitting there. Me, I'd already be in bed after that long of a day. Have set an alarm I guess
  12. Well 11:20pm and first Ship(NCL) is pulling out. What a long day
  13. Still there, watching live cam. Carnival didnt park until after 5pm EST and at that time had hundreds(1000's?) on her Balconies so no Cleaning even started yet
  14. Deal when offered(not short Cruises) $35 small bag, no reg clothes, only sox, undies, T-shirts, swimsuits, PJ's, Gym Clothes. No Pants, Button up shirts, ect. Seen people Billed separate item full price if an item not authorized. Also washed in Hot with other peoples clothes in separate mess bags(Some have issue with that) also fading can happened & gotten few T-shirts back with pin holes
  15. Agree. Doubt get bill after leaving Ship. Our experiences, Sick Calls since CV, all were Colds with Neg CV Testing my Family & Friends recieved no Bill. A Sprain falling on Ice, was no Bill.
  16. Still a longer Day for many. Carnival Ship is just turning around in Basin. See hundreds on their Balcony's, at least they got stay in Cabin's but all will need be cleaned before new Passengers Board
  17. This was 4 Decades ago when they and every Hotel changed Sheets, Towels Daily. As said they had to strip the Beds Daily to convert them back to Couches. Only reason Royal started their Environmental programs was not that they cared. Originally they were busted for Illegally dumping Photo Chemicals doing this with hidden pipes leading direct to the Ocean. They were caught, Twice! That and not replacing sheets/Towels saves them money with a touch of publicity. That said yes I might use a Towel second time onboard but never a washcloth ever, yuck!
  18. Yup, have Royals going back to the paper laminated ones
  19. Couple showers a day, go to meal go to the Movie Theater he'd have it cleaned and wiped. Banana peal in Trash, gone, and Fruit Basket(that all Cabins had) restocked. Every time you return it's spotless. Wash cloth, towel, hand towel, used once got new one. Bed made, turn down service. Wasn't kidding in/out Cabin 10 times a day, he'd been in it. Interesting back then all Room Attendants and Waiters all Men, no Women doing these jobs
  20. Shoot I remember when they'd clean and pickup my cabin 8-10 times a day. Anytime I'd leave my Cabin he was in there. Our attendant also had lot more work to do back then, all for $1 per person, per day. Ship had 2 Couches each on a different wall that Attendant would have to move together put sheets, blanket, pillows on. Then in am disassemble putting all away until that nite
  21. Wow, yeah that's not "Cool" Haven't done too many cold environment Cruises except dozen of the annual Oct Boston-Florida Repo's. My Sailings in Carib some people prefer the Solarium Roof shut to get a little relief from Hot/Humid days
  22. Yeah, last 20yrs at start of Cruise I always take picture my Cruise Card and Cruise Paperwork inc Itinerary. Only way can remember where pictures were taken.
  23. True, my first emails saved are from same year I joined AOL Cruise Critic, 1997. Of course back then it took about 9 min to download one picture
  24. Back when they did the Point Conversion they were missing my 1980's Cruises. Fortunately I save all my Cruises paperwork and Cruise Cards. Was able give them info from my Booking, Numbers/Dates and got the Credit in couple days... Good Luck to you!
  25. Seen similar happen at least 2 times myself. The little tables Royal use to have on Pool Decks would really get some distance. Most time Crew is quick have Chairs all tied down but not always
