  1. We are on Majestic, very few masks at all worn, not even in the Theatre, lifts or tenders. We are wearing them as we have some more cruising to do shortly. Very interesting also, that no RAT test results were required at check in.
  2. I didn’t book UBD for this cruise, but did for Majestic 20/11. Will be interesting to see if it is offered. BTW We are not enjoying the food in The Concerto Dining Room, and really they are hit and miss with my husbands dietary allergies, which Princess used to be exceptional with in catering for him, even forgot his meal one night. Luckily we have a very good OBC so have booked specialty dining for 5 nights. In saying that, we are not starving by any means! Food is a funny thing, and they cannot please everyone all the time. I had Key Lime Pie the other night and didn’t like it, (I usually fold Key Lime Pie) but our friend ordered two.! Cruise going well, and great to finally be warm.
  3. Currently on Majestic. The priority line for us was only once in terminal. Our friends who have no smartphone and only printed out documents did not get on board till after 3pm. Perhaps it was the day, but handled very badly for an elderly couple with no smart phone, even though they were told it would all be ok. we were on board by 1.30 with all the documents on the app. Also currently have Telstra 4g as I can see the coast.
  4. Totally agree, we are on Majestic again 20/11 and I sure hope it is not the same as it is only a short cruise. We know some people who didn’t have any Medallion check in and goodness knows how long they were going to have to wait! Anyway drink now, sitting on the balcony, looking at the Opera House and thinking all is good!
  5. Cabin guy just told us luggage could be a while as there is still over 1000 to board. Must be sort of true as we have friends who were supposed to board at 2 and are in a queue. Obviously no changing for dinner tonight!
  6. We boarded at around 1.30pm. Arrival A.Green 12.00 noon. A lot of very unhappy travellers, but what can you do….nothing unfortunately, but some people are very rude. Thank goodness it wasn’t raining. Whilst in the Q our app changed to Blue and I thought we could have a problem, but so did a lot of others thankfully. Waiting for luggage, which cabin guy told us could be a while. Just have to go with the flow. Nice lunch, and I didn’t have to do it for once, so all is going great.
  7. We have a similar situation! Not sure which of our cruises was moved to this one, and how we ended up here, but all ok and yes, I think we scored an extra night and some extra OBC too! Last time we were on Majestic, we were upgraded to Penthouse Suite, this time a balcony, but just happy to be cruising again, it is what you make it.I will miss our friend RKMW who we have cruised with when we last could , but all will be fine. If you see us on the train, we will be the ones with too much luggage, not sure how we used to cruise with so little, but I guess we will work that out after this one. 4 more cruises after this before Xmas (not sure how that happened either) but just happy to start cruising again after so many cancellations . Cheryle
  8. I am on that cruise too. I like the location of the Concierge Lounge vs that of the Diamond Lounge which is always overcrowded. Not that long to wait.
  9. At least some good news! Thanks. We start on 26/11 with Royal and cannot wait!🛳. We booked cabins on deck 11 so quick trip to deck 12. Now if I have to go to Diamond Lounge ………….well lots of exercise!
  10. No suite friends for us atm 🤣🤣🤣 Do you know if we can use the Concierge Lounge or is that for Suite guests only? Can’t seem to find that information.
  11. Thank the good Royal Caribbean gods that we have 5 free drinks a day! Just don’t know how I could justify $100 each per day over the length of the cruises. As much as I love a Royal, I think at the moment Princess is very attractive considering they are AU dollars. Anyway, will find out next week, for the start of this season cruises for us which is now going to be our preferred cruise line!
  12. Hi all, will be taking to Sydney and do night before boarding then no problems. Thanks for all information. Let’s not hope boarding is delayed though😩
  13. So if our boarding time is 12.30 you think we should’ve close to that time, not say 9.00 am.?
  14. Thank you so much. Will be easier for us before we start to travel!
  15. Hi all, Just a quick question re RAT tests. Can the test be done anytime the day before we board or does it have to be actually within 24 hours of our boarding time! Thanks
  16. I am the same applied with Commsec last week and still waiting for the US Share account. Just had an email to say forms will be arriving shortly, so not going to happen quickly for me either.
  17. I will be following your journey with interest. Until all the changes to our cruises earlier in the year, we were booked on this cruise, but had to make a decision about which one to cancel and cancelled the circumnavigation. Enjoy your cruise.
  18. Is code orange a concern for our cruise on 20/10? I am getting slightly nervous, and interested in your thoughts Geoff. I was always concerned about these TP cruises arriving into Sydney. 120 doesn’t seem a lot considering the amount of passengers on board, but not sure.
  19. They use the Telstra network so could be whoever Telstra use? I was very happy when I had to use the Aldi network phone overseas and I also used free data whenever we could, sometimes just having a coffee somewhere in NZ. We only changed from Aldi because of where we live, we needed to use Telstra wifi calling. Just explore what Aldi have available before using the one off sim direct sim! Hope that helps! PS I have had that happen to us, using a sim from another country, our son kept seeing the country and said ‘call centre” until he realised we were in that country!😩
  20. Yes, that is the plan we had with Aldi, it worked well as long as you topped it up. I need to ring a landline in Australia, so hopefully this NZ sim will work. I did get another one from the Post Office to use in Europe but it was hit and miss. If I still had the Aldi mobile, I think I would just use that as if you don’t use all the top up, it doesn’t expire quickly like the Sims Direct sim.
  21. When I was with Aldi mobile, you were able to put some dollars on the account for use whilst overseas. We used to put $30 each on both ours and it was a lifesaver at times. Now with Telstra so they cannot assist. I just purchased the $29 sim from Sims direct for NZ in November. Super quick, received within 5 days of ordering. I won’t activate at the moment, so hope it is ok. There are quite a lot of places in NZ for free wifi though!
  22. An enclosed balcony would have been way too hot for Asia, but perfect for other areas and certainly for keeping out the weather. We didn’t see much wildlife, but just sitting there was very nice.
  23. Enjoy your cruise, you only live once and I have enjoyed your posts.
