Currently on Ovation and I understand they have stopped you getting money out from the Casino. If you are using OBC in the Casino, I understand that you can only get vouchers! Not completely sure, but we were just discussing this with some other passengers as we have now missed two ports and not sure what compensation they will be offering and we do not want money to spend on board.

Mine doesn’t but I was assured, gratuities are at my discretion.

That is the ship we are on and cruise planner definitely said AUD on board.

On board definately AUD he told me that but I really didn’t understand when he said tipping would be at my discretion. He did not say tips were included.

I think that is what he is saying, but I was surprised! He said just tip as required.

Hi all, Just put a hold on Sydney Tokyo cruise on Royal Princess.The cruise planner said gratuities are at my discretion and that was the policy for Princess out of Australia. Thought that comment was a bit strange as I thought cruises purchased in Australia would have gratuities included. Not paying the deposit until I get back to Sydney but thought I would just ask here before in contacted him again. what is every one’s opinion please. The cruise will be in AUD if that makes any difference.

The comedy is split with a late night rated show. Not sure on this cruise, but definitely on last cruise.

Yes still true. We have enjoyed the Orchestra on the last two evenings! Unfortunately for us, lots of comedians too!

Currently on Ovation doing B2B2B. First leg after NZ, completely packed up, bags out last night and left ship, and boarded first for next domestic cruise. We were in same cabin and bags waiting. Nice lunch for B2B cruises too! Royal made it as easy as possible. Next leg going from Domestic to international, we understand that we just do the normal B2B.we are moving next door, so we understand that just do a small pack up and they will move our things. Haven’t officially been told yet as consecutive cruise information will be given out today. Also a RAT 24 hours before in the medical centre. If not negative , off you go! About to run out of internet, but if any questions I will check later once in Hobart.

We are also on the next cruise and exactly the same as the last two. Very repetitive and get very boring!

We were in transit. Even though it was difficult for some, we thought Royal and of course their shore staff handled it very well for us. I did see Graeme too inside the ship at the check in with card, but didn’t talk.😷

We are also on board and had a totally different experience. Arrived about 11.30am dropped bags and were told to join the queue. Took a little while but staff were amazing and we were on board in Windjammer having lunch by 12.30. Totally different experience to boarding Majestic, now that was a nightmare. I think we have to realise, unfortunately Covid has changed everything. I was happy they were so thorough which was different to Majestic! Now doing a B2B now that is a totally different experience too! Have to pack up, take bags off, then to bring them back on again. Considering we are in the same cabin, that will be a nightmare!

Unfortunately I think you are right.I do think there are many cases! We just walked back to the cabin and could see many cabins with trays outside.Unfortunately not a great wearing masks even on the shuttles today and we were all all told to do so!

The next cruise goes to Tasmania and Adelaide followed by your Vila Noumea trip. The thing is even though we have the same cabin we have to pack up, get off the ship with luggage and start again! Not happy about that either! Yes, we have to have the test, but we are testing every couple of days and only had Covid last month, if that helps us!
