  1. I'm pretty sure most Americans say "quay" with a q sound. In Belfast back in 2019, we were driving around looking for our hotel which was near the river & address said Quayside. Having phone problems & no map we asked people in the street & no one knew what I was talking about. Finally I showed the address to a woman & she said, you mean "keyside"! At the hotel I was asked if we had trouble finding the hotel I mentioned the word Quayside & she said it's a french word, but I mean we're not in France! LOL Looking forward to your report on the Edge, we board, March 13th! Thanks for all the great info! Denise
  2. So it depends on how your recovery goes. I had knee replacement this past March and I had a very good recovery. I stayed in the hospital 2 nights & followed everything my doctor & PT said to do. In May at 9 weeks I took a flight to Texas to visit family. I did ok with the flight & car rides, it was a relatively easy trip. I still iced my knee several times a day while I was there. I don't think your crazy, I live in NY & so I get the cold thing🀣 Denise
  3. Yes, I did but I was hoping for natural hot springs. Great Barrier island sound interesting but it's all off grid. I was hoping for a resort type of stay, or a day trip. Thanks for your help.
  4. We will be taking a Celebrity cruise to New Zealand in March. Then we are spending 10 days in Australia & then back to NZ in early April. We have 5 days in Auckland prior to a South pacific cruise. Are there any hot springs that are good for a day trip from Auckland or even an overnight that we could do via public transport? Many thanks!
  5. We did the canal on the Island in 2015 from Florida to CA & then the Coral, in 2019 from California to FL. It was a great experience seeing & touching the original locks. Both cruises, we were in the most aft cabin on deck 8 Emerald. We were so close to the side of the lock that we could reach over the rail from our cabin & touch it! From those cabins you have a bit of a view of the wake too!
  6. medrano beach. I booked online, paid in US money. Thanks, had to cancel a cruise to CSL earlier this year, I will bookmark this info for next year! Enjoy the rest of your cruise!
  7. Yes, I think it was on the Silhouette. We left the light on & the door closed, it was very hot. Spoke to our cabin attendant & he had someone look at it & got the same answer.
  8. I’m in the very early stage of planning a family cruise with Disney. My daughter & spouse have 3 kids. Is there a cabin that can sleep 2 adults & 3 kids? Thanks!
  9. Many thanks to you & others for posting this info, got the upgrade for $6.99 usd! I’m so excited!
  10. I'm on the Edge in March, is too early for a price reduction for the upgrade?
  11. Thanks for the info! We were on the Crown back in 2019 on a transatlantic & loved the Good Spirits but my DH came down with the flu the last few days of the cruise & so we spent our days in the cabin & never got back to that bar.
  12. Great review! I know you mentioned the Good Spirits at Sea, were all the drinks there priced at the premier level? We are on the Grand in April with the plus pkg. so hoping some of the drinks there are included in the plus.
  13. Have a safe & great trip! We'll be waiting for the Edge in Sydney! πŸ˜ƒ
  14. I personally can't wait to go to Australia & New Zealand. We were booked in 2021 & 2022 & both were cancelled. I had surgery this past Spring & so we're now booked for the Edge in March. Nothing will keep me from this trip, life is too short! Also, travel insurance makes things a little less crazy!
  15. I have a 22 day cruise booked for April which means I'm entitled to 44 of these? I rather trade all 44 for 1 more casual meal at Alfredo's!
  16. I just bought 10 cards, 5 for me & 5 for DH. I emailed the numbers to my TA and a couple of hours later she sent me an updated confirmation with $5,000 reduced balance. Love this!
  17. If the price works for you, blu on the Constellation is quite nice!
  18. It's usually about the extras, mostly OBC. In the case of this TA it would be gift card to the store as well.
  19. Ok I will look into those, planning to use some points but willing to pay to stay somewhere central & awesome! Of course, not super expensive either😁 About NYC, lived a good portion of my life in Manhattan so a bit of a snob. I would never tell anyone to go to S.I., but the Bronx is any easy & inexpensive commute into Manhattan for the budget conscious πŸ˜„
  20. Thanks so much for your help, definitely will have more questions!
