  1. Best genuine Restaurant (not a beach bar/restaurant) serving great seafood with wonderful high point views over the beach and sea is Sheer Rocks. Book well in advance as space limited and best to call when booking to reserve a front row table. Prices and in EC Dollars. To roughly convert into USD - Divide by 2 - then deduct 25% Link to Website to check out the ambiance, views and Mar menu https://sheer-rocks.com
  2. Sorry, one took the OP’s ask being for a personal recommendation, being for a nice place with a beach, having chairs and offers lunch. One offered Catherine’s, having all the requested criteria, giving a critique and posted the link to the beach web. Although the OP thought of interest, Catherine’s was too far from the port for the OP. The only destination one could recommend, closer to the port, was SR. One did make it clear that SR did not have a beach, but offers Rock Pools, some private, together with a small swimming pool, also lunch and drinks. Agree one’s recommendations did have restaurants, but most beaches in Antigua do have a restaurant. One pays the money and makes to choice as to the level of experience wanted for the day. It’s will be down to the personal preference, not the price.
  3. For Princess, I acknowledged @reedprincess as having the answer.
  4. There was a shuttle boat service, turn left off ship and keep walking towards the sea, but @reedprincess can advise is still running. One can walk it. About 15 minutes. Out dock gates, straight ahead, turn right into a small shipyard, out the other side. Keep walking, as you’ll see the covered market. Can’t miss it. Be prepared on the walk to be enthusiastically, but politely, encouraged to take a tour by many operators. On the walk, under a small tree, there used to be a lady selling handmade dolls at very reasonable prices. But again Princees can give up to date information.
  5. Seraphine Port area has a variety Duty Free shops, jewellery stores and bars etc.. One bar is even dedicated to caring for those who have wish to shop, but their partners do. The area across the bay contains a covered open market with stalls, plus various outlets and restaurants. To the left of the open market, when looking from the ship, on the left corner of a road junction is the Supermarket. It looks like an office block entrance. But one must take a tour to see the real beauty of this wonderful island and it’s people. There are tours and experiences for all tastes and ages. Spend dollars to help the island.
  6. Sorry, didn’t notice t(e date only the blurb, but should have stated at a lower price each than usual spend. Sent them a Face Message to ask the question. Thank you
  7. The post triggered a search….. https://capmaisonvillas.com/blog/day-pass-cap-maison Go for it….. Great value… Booking for next November, it’s the same fare and drinks etc., but a lower total price
  8. Less busy? No Any beach that is walkable from the ship, will be an extremely popular destination for S.H.T. Remember, Carlyle Beach is also close to Condo Central for budget renters and Bridgetown locals. Any walkable distance above 20 minutes, will show a drop in S.H.T., leaving the beaches to T’erds The further North one travels by cab, the less T’erds are seen. No T’erds seen above a $25 fare.
  9. More sipping? How about.a Wine Tasting Experience ? Several upmarket retailers offer courses/experiences
  10. How far off piste? We visited an art studio, think it was called “Sip and Paint” or “Paint and Sip” Where one joins a class of complete novices, with the help of a professional, one paints a picture. Give kne something to take home
  11. Then, as a recommendation it has to be Sheer Rocks, it’s 15 minutes closer but doesn’t have a beach. But SR more than makes up for no beach in many other ways. Book one’s day (Rock Pool) in advance. https://sheer-rocks.com
  12. Taxi was US$ 30.00 including tip - About 50 minutes there, but allow an extra 10 for return because of port traffic. The beach https://visitantiguabarbuda.com/destinations/pigeons-point-beach/ Catherine’s Cafe is owned by Sheer Rocks - The food quality service is top notch, but genteel and discreet. They have an extensive “known” guest list. Prices are in EC Dollars - To convert roughly into US$ - Divide by 2 - Then deduct 25% On site is a really nice small boutique selling Cafe and Rocks merchandise that is actually useful for travel, holidays and momentous at good prices. Nice people… but they don’t suffer visiting AHs… finding ways of annoying them so they leave in disgust - If you get one’s drift? Do book in advance and give them a call to discuss one’s requirements for food, beds, off Menu etc.. They appreciate a call as it shows one is genuinely interested and cares. Ask about any Day Specials that may be available. Think an American Country Club, set in a shabby chic ambiance on a beach. Don’t get put off by the exterior on arrival. Enjoy…
  13. Ferry details to assist https://www.caribbeanpaddling.com/blog/ferry-schedule-to-pinel-island Crossing time no more than 8/10 minutes. One’s outward driver will be pleased be booked for the return, just give them the time. Usually the driver will arrive early to put one’s mind at rest. If in the rarest occasion there is a no show, there will be other drivers immediately available at site.
  14. Yes. Yellow and Karibuni, catch the short ferry crossing to Pinel Island. if considering sharing a van, then the whole minibus has to agree for the return. The majority will opt for a very early one. Anyway, one likes the flexibility and privacy of a cab.
  15. Something different? Something special? Then consider https://www.elegancebarbados.com
  16. From experience. Best to rent from one’s home town with an outlet in SM. Any pre/post problems are addressed locally, not long distance.
  17. Don’t think a current answer will come from CC, ask the venue direct. info@tikaye.com
  18. For something a little special and different……. https://catherines-cafe.com
  19. One has considered this. It’s the people who make the atmosphere, which does slightly change, depending on the voyage. For example a QM voyage crossing atmosphere will be different to say a Northern or Western Europe coast cruise. The same goes for QV, when comparing Northern Lights with the Mediterranean. In a nutshell, think it was the presence of more rounded guests and additional Tuxedos on a QM crossing and QV Northern Lights. Just one’s thoughts.
  20. Additional: If not requiring one of their special day beds/rock pool experiences. Then, they used to have a sun-bed rental and use of small swimming pool only, for (I think) $25 pp, with any drinks/food being additional. Not 100% certain if still available, give SR a call.
  21. If considering something above the norm., then select from Coco Karibuni Yellow
  22. Jacuzzi? Not sure, unless it’s a new installation. Think you mean a shared Rock Pool…. Private Rock Pools were available.
  23. Strange….Give them a call, they are open…..it could be a glitch…. They will be pleased to assist over the phone …. If a gremlin then they will be grateful for one’s help….. They’re nice people Good luck
