  1. "as useless as the letter g in lasagna" GREAT LINE!!!🤣
  2. Turks Caicos has very few cases and no hospitalizations. At the end of May removed their mask mandates for vaccinated visitors. Most cases in the islands are on Providenciales (24). GT had 2. CDC is a bureaucracy and similar to the FDA in handling the formula catastrophe, is always way behind the current situation and looks toward being most risk adverse in giving advise.
  3. Maya Chan will be closed in August 😦
  4. Very early, early morning start to even make Buccees by noon. And you're still 3 hours away. Long drive from Hotlanta.
  5. This is an easy work around without going bananas on this board. #1) Do your research. I think RCCL has a special needs desk similar to Carnival's and they will work with you pre cruise. #2) Just go to the Windjammer, vs MDR. Lots of vegetable and salad offerings. Don't expect vegan unless requested. But many gluten free selections should work for you.
  6. Just head for Krazy Lobster. Or Tropicante. No cover. No Charge. Good food and drink at reasonable prices. Tell the taxi driver that's where you want to go and he'll let you out at the nearest cross street. DO NOT! go to any place along the malecon where someone is trying to entice you to stop at their place.
  7. According to the official T&C Covid site as of May 1, visitors are no longer required to wear masks but must be fully vaccinated (2nd dose), exception from vaccine being those under 18. As of 5/28 , GT had 2 cases no hospitalized cases.
  8. According to forecasts, there will be heavy rain across southern Florida on Friday but moving into Bahamas on Saturday. So unless a ship is delayed in arrival because of weather on Friday, there's no reason at present to close any port, Miami of Port Everglades.
  9. When is your cruise? If over the summer, you should know that there are always thunderstorms lurking about that cause delays, especially out of Atlanta. and if your flight is originating somewhere else, you can be in for double delay.
  10. so the solution here is to bring your own coke (soft drink, not dope😉) and then order shots of your favorite rum and a glass of ice. Or just drink the best aged (non-flavored) rum they offer with a couple of cubes of ice.
  11. Can't decide if the track is Midnight Oil's "Beds are Burning" or Williams Country "Burning the Midnight Oil". But obviously not late for the party.
  12. I was thinking "Pretzel Logic" But "do It Again " fits.
  13. Experience. Vaxed Boosted still caught it. Doctor and hospital said test after 6-7 days. Still positive with anitgen test. But on day 11 got a negative antigen test and 2 weeks later still negative before cruise.
  14. If you're past 10 days from initial positve PCR test, just do the rapid test. No need to hassle with any certificate of recovery.
  15. Oh man! what a waste of bourbon!! And rum! Don't do the Dew!
  16. @sid_9169OOOhhh!! Want to hear about these. Able to post a review. Also do a compare/contrast. Only going to the Bahamas is a good reason to keep us away. But maybe the ship would be worth it. NEVER MIND (Emily Patella). I found it!! Sorry for the hijack... Back to Wildra's wonder review.
  17. Check out Jamman54's review. Page 13or 14 I think. They did this and have lots of pictures.
  18. Tell W the better lattes and coffee drinks are at Bella Rosa.
  19. Rum n Coke started out with the cane sugar version. Disguised the horrible cheap rum served back then. Today's Coke isn't quite the same and rums themselves are better. Any differences between Coke and Pepsi (non-diet/zero versions) is a taste preference.
  20. DW had breakfast there every day!! Something different but always beignets!
  21. This was a great virtual concert on the Odyssey in April!!! Fantastic group!
  22. Lots a beach threads here all with good recommendations. Do you want a pay-go or an AI for your party? For your mobility concerns, is a wheel chair involved? Or a walker? The pier is long and the shuttle doesn't always run. Plus a longish hike to the parking lot. Van taxi probably best bet but not all are able to accommodate a wheelchair.
  23. Hurricanes should not be a major issue in July. Easy to get occasional afternoon showers. Btu it will be hot and humid. You and I have no relief heading south in the summer. Canada or Alaska would be the better way to go to avoid both your concerns.
  24. I recall having to wave your hand to open the main door of public restrooms, but don't recall any fancy locking mechanism for stall doors.
