Thank you all for the suggestions. The reviews and the people at the vendor were all so positive that I have to believe we will be fine but with so much at risk I am getting very leery.

We are traveling on the Horizon January 6th cruise to the ABC's. We booked a private charter boat and the website said deposit due at booking and then remainder paid in cash at arrival. Once we booked it, I received an email from the boat that they would send us an invoice 1 week prior to and full payment would be due. In the email he said that the fare was non-refundable even if the ship changes itinerary or is not able to reach the island. I questioned it at first but then thought what are the odds, but now we are getting closer and I am nervous. It is in Aruba and I have never been. My questions are: do you think this is normal, has anyone done this, how often does the ship miss Aruba?

My institution is not on the Plaid platform yet. So do we just email like normal then ?

I have never been to La Romana but have been to Amber Cove many times. Which did you like better? They seem pretty similar.

Are there any vendors for drinks or food ?

We are taking an 8 day cruise on the Horizon in January and would like to make some reservations at the pay restaurants. Our cruise is a Saturday to Sunday. Can someone please tell me which nights are the formal nights ?

We were on the 9/17 Celebration cruise and I completely agree. She was by far the best female entertainer I have seen on any cruise ship. She is amazing. I don't know her name but did mention her in my Carnival Survey. Hopefully it gets back to her.

Does the Harmony of the Seas have metal doors to hang decorations ? If so what have you been able to hang?

I love your reviews. We have sailed the Celebration before and are sailing her again on September 17th. I am so excited and your review is desperately needed to get in the Celebration spirit.

We are sailing on the Carnival Celebration in September and want to head over to Great Bay Beach. It has been awhile since we have been there. We are looking for a nice place to lay on the beach, swim, eat and drink. If you take the water taxi is it better to go to the right or the left ? Any recommendations would be great. Also what are the going rates for chairs and umbrellas ?

We have someone cruising with us that has limited mobility. How far are the taxi's from where the ship docks ? I cant tell if it is close to the ship or outside the gates.

Carnival offers an excursion to De Palm Island but it has sold out. Has anyone done this by booking directly with them ? We are a party of 8 ages 19-78, is this worth taking a look at ? Any reviews of this place would be greatly appreciated.

We are schedule to stop in Aruba in January and there are 2 other ships with us in port that day. We have never been so I was wondering with all those cruise passengers how crazy is it going to be at Eagle Beach, Palm Beach or Baby Beach. Can they accommodate that many visitors ? We are looking for a great beach to go to where we can get chairs, food and drinks. Any other beaches anyone could recommend ?

Can this be for a cruise that has already been booked but not paid in full or just new bookings between the dates?

Which app did you look at ? I just checked the shore excursions for our cruise and it’s still showing sold out. It’s the Horizon 8 day.

Thank you for your review !!! I just looked to book this excursion for our January 6th cruise and it is sold out already. I guess I waited a little too long. We have never been to Aruba so I wasn't sure what we were going to do yet.

Has anyone heard when they said will roll out to the other ships ? We are on the Celebration in September and was wondering if we will see the new items.

Thank you for your review. We have heard from numerous cruisers as well as crew that the Horizon is their favorite ship. We sail her in January and the reviews lately have been mixed. I wonder if there is a lot of new crew because of the Celebration and Mardi Gras needing so many. We are still looking forward to sailing her 🙂

We are sailing the Horizon 8 day to the ABC islands and we have a couple of golfers traveling who may be interested in playing a round or two in the Caribbean. We have two really long days in port and they thought this might be the time. Has anyone brought their clubs and played in one of the islands, particularly Aruba or Bonaire ?
