  1. As the title states “MDR” aka the Main Dining Room aka the steerage peasants like myself…Ha ha
  2. I was scratching my head on that one as well... @southernbreezes, most travel experts use "google flights" to locate flights
  3. How many rules are in the cruise contract? Almost no one knows because almost no one reads it... 😅 If X takes your wine no problem! They give it back to you to enjoy on the last night of the sailing, so clearly X doesn't even care about its own so called wine "rule"
  4. On the big island, Hilo is about the volcano and Kona is about snorkeling; if you one doesn't like either I would agree there isn't much else. If visiting by land, book a hotel in Oahu for your entire stay and keep your luggage there. Book a same day round trip to Maui, book the earliest arrival and latest departure(can be had $100/person) and then on a different day do the same for Kauai
  5. Correct. For us, it's like our vacation hasn't officially started until after we get the muster out of the way...We board the ship and drag our carryons to the muster which is usually no more than a 90 second walk from where we board, get it over with and then the vacation begins
  6. I stand corrected; safety videos are the day of but you can do health questionnaire in advance With the health questionnaire you can do it the day before, been this way for a long time…With an iPhone with X app’s notifications on, they send you a notification…Perhaps other phones as well
  7. There can be tweaks here and there yet generally they give you a snapshot of you can expect. Posting current ship menus today for a sailing six months from now would most likely also be "wrong"
  8. My direct experience, they may ask for the card but you simply say you boarded and wanted to take care of this first. They ask for your stateroom number and check your photo then you’re done. Often, your muster station is on the deck you board
  9. It’s noon EST they day prior; this is listed on the check-in section of the app
  10. Many have said how annoying the wind is while trying to eat a nice meal
  11. I believe they'll have plenty of time but am pointing out to them that if they miss their flight the airlines are pretty accommodating on getting you onto the next flight at no charge. If an overnight hotel is required and the airline won't help pay for it, there are descent (Clearly won't be Ritz) below $200 all in
  12. That'll work, there are cheaper alternatives as well
  13. Mophie's all wireless, correct? Problem IMO is its too slow and wireless charging my phone doesn't give me any benefit over plugging it in. When in port, perhaps one will get back on the ship at 5pm and have to be at dinner 6pm, in that timeframe I'd like to get as much juice into my phone as possible. There are power banks but you still have to carry them around so having a fast charging option negates the need for a power bank
  14. Seapass not needed as they'll look up your room number and verify it's you by your photo. We always get it over with in the very beginning
  15. It's been throttled way down as I've been on her twice since she got starlink, went over 4mbps (down) only once I'd guess the average is 2mbps down and 3mbps up. That's still much better than what it had before where it would routinely go below 1mbps down and up
  16. Yup! Will be in the air for under six hours...Delta advertises 6hr 15mins which includes taxiing
  17. The better question is, are you wanting to do anything specific? They have starlink, I can only comment on the premium. Steam, email, browsing should be fine, sending/receiving large files may take some extra time. Video chats USUALLY are fine but if you're looking to make an important hour long work video meeting you need to plan for the worst that they'll be hiccups, could drop off and have issues getting back on
  18. They've upgraded to Starlink since then, I think in Nov
  19. Sounds like you had the basic package which is restrictive; the premium removes all restrictions and is faster
  20. Generally if you miss a flight they put you on the next one that has availability yet things get murky if you booked with a 3rd party who charge change fees
  21. I emailed; included my name, address, CC number, MGM Rewards number and included a screenshot of my Celebrity profile to show my CC status and name...Email: memberservices@mgmresorts.com
  22. Do both, two per person in your checked luggage and two per person carried on. I've checked them several times, always get them on. The key is to put no more than two bottles per bag; no one actually keeps a stateroom log of how many bottles were brought on
  23. Yup! Common story about time shares...Everything is great for a decade while the maintenance fee are reasonable, then ownership changes hands and the new owners want to jack up the fees 20x. And at anytime, they can charge a special assessment fee and those are usually sky high. They're less valuable now because of VRBO/AirBnb and often you find time share rooms on VRBO/AirBnb to rent on a night basis
