  1. In the past four months have been on the Millie and Summit, X's new thing seems to be to post a DJ by the Martini bar playing top 40 or music that was top 40 at one time in the past dozen or so years
  2. Was told routinely turning down housekeeping can be a sign of the passenger(s) removing the auto gratuities so that could be the reason they left chocolate (lol). Additionally, X with turndown make the bed a little different at night and the pillow placements on different on Chic nights. I personally enjoy turndown as its rare any hotels do this, yet all I really care about is exchanging towels, taking out any trash and remaking the bed in the off chance there was a mid day snooze
  3. Agree and it's the removal of the daily canapes, X said there was a lot of waste so they got rid of them. The solution that they would never do would be to provide better tasting canapes (lol)
  4. FYI...If you don't have any BCC status at the tables there is a fee
  5. I'm not so sure it's a mistake. At $20K/pp, you're at $16XX/pp per night. There are some other sailings with SS's that are over $1K/night
  6. Laundry costs them very little, probably around $1 bag and a few cents per pressed garment. Due to their sky high retail laundry prices, only a small minority were paying full retail for laundry so we can't use retail numbers
  7. You're asking the Mods/Admins to do a lot more work moving threads around since people will post in the wrong place. Do any other forums (like princess) divide their forums?
  8. Seriously though, how much money do benefits actually cost X, average $100/person? We personally never paid for laundry Cafe coffee but started using it once our status included it for free. In that case, X isn't losing out on the retail price, it only costs them its actual cost which is probably a dollar per laundry bag and pennies for the cafe coffee
  9. I'm actually shocked its still around, maybe RCG wants to keep turndown as a distinction between the two cruise lines?
  10. On the Beyond the Blu waiter said the new kids steak was short rib and should be fleetwide (I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't). Even before with Filet it was a crap shoot as sometimes it wasn't on the menu but you could request it anyways
  11. The writing was on the wall once they started offering inside rooms as even earlier this year, you were either offered a comped balcony or a % off, no OVs or insides. FYI with RCI, they give you comped offers based on the current sailings play, so if you get an offer it'll be on the last night and you do have a few months to book. X has always been based on the previous sailings play and while Future cruise may leave a stop by for a free cruise letter, it was based on your previous sailings play Yet IDK, I've seen the BCC evolve over time and its getting to the point where requirements are simply too high to get a free room offer. As I said before, $50/hand for 12 total hours on a 9 night sailing only gave me a % off
  12. RCI and Carnival give you the superior Maine lobster while X continues to give you the inferior Spiny lobster. I have reached out to the exec office twice (along with other requests) and X's social media and initial get a "I'll look into it and get back to you" response and when they get back are dismissive/evasive. Whomever I talk to I don't think they understand there are two major types of lobster
  13. It's seems Celebrity management is gone and that X's parent company headed by an ex-CFO, is running the show
  14. And we’ve seen it before where X shoreside says something is fleet wide only to discover on board that isn’t the case
  15. FYI about the cookies which initially caused the outrage: Multiple passenger stated there were no cookies of any kind offered at the cafe. There were cookies offered at the buffet ice cream station but reportedly not chocolate chip. Had the Equinox ensured they stocked the cafe and buffet with chocolate chip cookie jars, the $2 cookie may still be around
  16. FYI, it isn’t a fixed “upgrade fee”, you essentially pay the difference between an inside and the higher category room which is heavily based on room type occupancy. I’m not sure if they have their own casino rates
  17. Nice. I know some complaints about X's happy hour is the very limited drinks on the menu. IDK much about RCI, Ms. Nuts went on a RCI as I kid but otherwise neither of us have been; we have a spring 2024 RCI sailing booked
  18. it’s doubtful they’ll reduce them, although I could see them eliminating the happy hour in favor of daily drink coupons
  19. If anyone wants to try regent, idk if this includes BC airfare or not as I’m looking at a 3rd party TA site. If they do include BC, this is a great deal. Dec 5th, in a suite, 17 nights, only 5 sea days, Bali to Sydney, $5,080/pp before fees and taxes
  20. Thanks Celebrity, you're now giving us all a new kind of anxiety which is: "Future Deterioration Anxiety"
  21. Received the same but I haven't even attempted in the past year; maybe we should both simply apply for every sailing and maybe one or two will stick
  22. Can I confirm you have a fully comped room (you paid ONLY fees and taxes)? And that you are requesting your OBC here?
