  1. Haven’t even sailed yet & you lost her 😂😂😂 We haven’t done lunch at the Pinnacle in years but might try it again on our next upcoming cruise. Will be interested on your opinion.
  2. Great info for us that would like to cruise out of Boston one of these days, thanks! Make sure the Pinnacle knows it’s your birthday. Have a great dinner there tomorrow night and happy birthday 🎂
  3. Because he’s the original OP of this thread and can supply any information he wants.
  4. We’ve used Woodwind twice in the past and were very impressed. Dee is amazing. Highly recommend them.
  5. Totally agree! We used SeaCow several years ago and they were fantastic.
  6. If you “HIA” you can pay the difference between the signature & Elite drinks as you go (as far as I know). It really depends on just what you need & how much you drink. Without the HIA it can be much cheaper and worth just paying for your drinks etc. It does make a head spin for sure! How wonderful to be taking you Mom. Maybe talk to an experienced travel agent who is familiar with HAL or a PCC (personal cruise consultant) at HAL to answer some of your questions. Or post more here as people will help with questions you have.
  7. Unless you have the “Have it All” there are no speciality restaurants included or wifi. There is an extra cost for lobster. Before you book you should familiarize yourself with the perks of a Neptune suite on the HAL website or with whomever you are going to book with. Enjoy the cruise-the Neptune suites are lovely.
  8. Thanks for the update. We are actually booked on the HAL tour of this using our HIA. Would be good to come back & compare on here you’d experience & ours. It sounds familiar so I’m wondering if we did this a few years back.
  9. Darn. Lol. Guess I’ll find out in November! You’d think it would-cheaper than getting an alcoholic drink. 🤷‍♀️
  10. It’s been a few years since on the Koningsdam but their milkshakes were delicious!
  11. @Crew News are the milkshakes at the gelato bar included in the HIA?
  12. @Btimmer really enjoying your blog and posts on here and especially the photos! What a trip your grandson has had. I like the set up of your cabin the way the turned the sofa around too. Good idea.
  13. Finally found time to catch up on your report. Love your eagle photos. Actually enjoyed all your commentary and photos. Appreciate the time you took to do this. We have cruised several times to Alaska and I’d love to do it again but Mr Bear isn’t too interested. Hoping my son, DIL and grandson might allow me to come along with them next year. Thanks again for this.
  14. @vswan Thanks for the update. So good to hear of your upcoming cruises! If you were thinking of the 35 day SP in February 2024, we are on that and there’s a lot of singles signed up. Over 200 on the roll call too and most are pretty friendly & helpful!
  15. What’s strange is on our upcoming cruise I got the CCL stock credit (correct) but I also got the emergency responder credit, or whatever it’s called when my husband should have. Told him he better be good or I might not share, lol.
  16. That is so true. We never cruise during summer or spring vacation time.
  17. Thanks for coming back. I do wonder if the crew were exhausted as I know Alaska is a very busy season for them and perhaps a lot of new employees not used to the long hours they do. No idea but we will be on the Eurodam later this year and I’m sure will have a great cruise.
  18. @Btimmer Wow-that looks like an amazing time! Fabulous photos! Bet your grandson was in awe 😁
  19. Love hearing this. My parents did it for me, we did it for our kids, and hoping to do the same for our 3 grandkids as they get out of the toddler stage.
  20. Please feel free to share your new material while on the ship as I’m sure you’ll have lots before the end of the cruise, lol. Hope to see you on the ship as I don’t think there’s a M&G planned.
