  1. Bathrobe, Chef’s jacket, picture on the bridge with the captain, personalized note paper and more (when we took it years ago)
  2. That would really be unfair! I hope everyone gets it.
  3. I saw another letter earlier. I think it said it could be applied to the cabin. As long as the passenger was in the cabin, the entire FCC could be applied to that cabin even if it is more than that passenger’s share. I realize that doesn’t help much because most people travel as a couple and would have the same FCC. But I thought that was interesting.
  4. I was on the ship in Jan 2020. It had the same problems then. They knew it then and didn’t fix it in at least 2.5 years. Who knows when the problems started? It could have been 2 years before that.
  5. We were on the Emerald in February. It was substituted for the Crown. The food on the Emerald was terrible, but anything is better than the Crown.
  6. To me, $100 is laughable. (If it wasn’t insulting.)With the cost of a cruise and the cost to get to embarkation city $100 is nothing. People are on this cruise to see Alaska, not a cruise to nowhere.
  7. The 200 mentioned was of the 200 of the 800 B2B passengers that had to be tested to continue on the next leg. All passengers weren’t tested. That info is according to the post on the current roll call. I don’t think any of the others were tested, just the 800.
  8. The Island thread mentioned 200 positive out of 800 b2b passengers. No wonder they didn’t “volunteer”.
  9. At extremely high prices. Last time was $35 for a very small bottle.
  10. I was on the Crown for a 10 day cruise in January 2020. We missed ports then because of propulsion problems. I’ve seen mention of supply chain issues. Baloney. They’ve had plenty of time to fix this ship and have had full knowledge of the problem since at least then.
  11. Mine wasn’t showing up in the app. Then I noticed that something had happened to the dates of my last cruise (in the app). Instead of ending 2/27/22 it ended 2/27/27. I was li g off that cruise. Due to that, none of the current cruises showed up because they were during the fake 5 year timeframe showing for my last cruise meaning they new ones were before the 2/27/27 date my current one ended. It took months to get that fixed. All they had to do was change the 27 back to 22, but it took forever. Everyday I’d look on the app and it would tell me I was at sea or in Dublin or whatever depending on where thst ship was currently. It would have been funny if it wasn’t so irritating.
  12. Although it is not quite the same, we had a similar situation. We asked for permission to leave the ship for 5 nights and travel on our own, rejoining the ship in another country later. We were immediately denied with no explanation other than a generic list of possible reasons. I called my travel agent and she called the deviation department or whatever it was called. The deviation was approved the next day and I received an email confirming it. Neither my travel agent or the person at Princess could figure out why it was rejected. If it is important to you I would at least ask your travel agent or whoever submitted the request to find out the reason. It’s possible because you would be checking in for the first time it really is denied, but I’d give it another try. This happened within the last couple of weeks. It’s current.
  13. We are planning to rent a car in Tauranga on a port stop. What is the best way to do this? It looks like we may need to rent at the airport. Is that a big hassle?
