  1. I'm not sure it will work like that - we will eventually be on Plus but rarely have more than a pizza each at Alfredo's and are quite prepared for our 2 complimentary meals to be charged as our fixed price option - we're not ordering food we don't want! Unless we state we want to go a la carte on the pizzas and use our complimentary meals in another casual dining venue. Whereas you guys on Premier can just order what you want up to the maximum of a fixed price meal each time. We will have to see how it works in practice!
  2. Wondering why the press release related to all these changes has completed disappeared from the News Center.. not going to read too much into it...
  3. You can only have unlimited prix fee meals with the Premier package - not a la carte. The prix fee meal in Ocean Terrace does cover 1 x Appetizer, 1 x Nigiri Sushi or Sashimi and 2 x Maki Rolls however.
  4. The main Alfredos menu is in the table on the first post in this thread.
  5. Thanks - I'll remove it, if that's the case. Will wait for more feedback before updating the table.
  6. Thanks - Princess didn't refer to it on the bottom of the menu under the ship codes but yes, the Salty Dog Gastropub is still there on Discovery Princess (although replaced by O'Malley's on Enchanted Princess)
  7. @CJSKIDS That's fine - but it might be good to leave it as it's own thread for a little while as it's such a new concept. Would I have to manually add all those PDFs into the table again and re-post or do you have some magic to add it in? 😁
  8. Hi All, I thought I'd try summarise all the Casual Dining options with their new fixed price menus, a la carte charges and what is included in the cover charge in one place. Please provide any corrections and updates as you come across them. Star and Sun are in italics as the menus may change by the time they are launched.
  9. Actually the new Alfredo's menu (for Grand/Sapphire/Island/Coral) released to TAs as part of the changes this week HAS been changed to a 3 course meal. Alfredos 1.pdf One appetizer and one dessert has magically appeared to ensure they can provide a fixed priced menu! Sapphire has Vines and the new fixed price menu is also available Vines.pdf
  10. Premium Desserts and Fitness Classes only came in with Plus 60 so that's what you have. Presuming you booked after 14th December 2022 which is when this came in.
  11. Indeed, I remember chatting to two Princess UK media representatives at an event in London who were onboard at the time of filming who mentioned the production team had been camped out in one of the former Karaoke rooms.
  12. All being discussed in this thread Actually, I haven't seen Crab Shack on the new Casual Dining list - isn't that still speciality as the cost was usually $29pp?
  13. On the topic of Casual Dining, I thought I would try and capture all the other qualifying Casual Dining options across the fleet, so those that get 2 free meals on Plus (and don't have or like Alfredos/Gigis) can spend their additional benefit wisely. And those on Premier can eat in as many as they like! The table below is a first stab so please copy, paste and edit to correct. Ship Alfredos/Gigis Ocean Terrace Salty Dog Pub Vines O'Malleys Kai Sushi Planks Steamers Caribbean Princess Yes Yes Yes Yes Coral Princess Pizza Sea days Sabatinis Crown Princess Yes Diamond Princess Yes Discovery Princess Yes Yes Emerald Princess Yes Yes Yes Yes Enchanted Princess Yes Yes Yes Grand Princess Pizza only Yes Island Princess Pizza Sea days Sabatinis Majestic Princess Yes Yes Yes Regal Princess Yes Yes Yes Royal Princess Yes Yes Yes Ruby Princess Yes Yes Sapphire Princess Pizza only Yes Sky Princess Yes Yes Yes Star Princess Yes Yes Yes Sun Princess Yes Yes Yes Disclaimers - . Aware that some ships without Alfredos had free Alfredos pizzas in Sabatini's on sea days - assume they will become chargeable should they survive I don't know if all Vines are equal (not being a wine drinker) Has Planks and Steamers come back yet? I'm not happy about the changes but let's make sure everyone is informed so we can make the most of it
  14. Yes, press release on Thursday by Princess discussed in this thread. The only guests who can eat at Alfredo's for free from next month are those on the Premier package. Those on the Plus package booked after December 14th will have two free meals at Alfredo's (or other casual dining venue) per voyage. Any other visits will be charged a la carte or $14.99 for a fixed price meal. Those on the Standard package (or Plus package booked before December 14th) will need to pay each visit. Or pay to upgrade.
  15. Just seen this key disclaimer underneath the Upgrade banner - the true picture will be under the Travel Summary section of your personaliser
  16. We love Premium suites! The bedrooms are huge and love the window view. The balconies aren't as big but are double the length of a standard balcony, have lovely furniture and not overlooked. We have never felt any extra movement, you might hear the anchor going down on the odd occasion. They are not too far from Sabatinis for suite breakfasts or the Sanctuary and Retreat Pool but one downside would be the trek up to the aft Concierge Lounge. Selection of pictures below:
  17. I fully expect my favourite Alfredo's Tarantina pizza with bay shrimp won't be on the fixed price menu! And O'Malley's menu items are all $5 for starters, $10 for mains and $5 for desserts so I'm sure there will a smaller cheaper selection on the fixed price menu,
  18. I think the website needs to catch up with yesterday's changes. We have one cruise booked on Plus 50 before 14th December and one booked after 14th December on Plus. The Travel Summary reflects the Plus 50 Special Services followed by the Fitness Classes/Premium Desserts of the current Plus. The Beverage Package breakdown reflects the same with Plus 50 on the left and current Plus on the right. You think...oh I wonder if I can see what I would be charged to upgrade on my Plus 50 cruise so you click on the fancy It Pays to Plus banner under the Onboard Services tab: And hang on, it tells you get all the New Plus benefits and it's already been Purchased! I see the same on my cruise booked later too. That's how you get people confused!
  19. The thread on here about angry passengers reaction to reserved seats for Premier guests on Sky Princess said there were 150 seats reserved for them in the theatre. If that can be used as an indicator of total Premier guests and, if the cruise was full capacity, then that would only be 4% of those onboard.
  20. I think that's pretty bad - we're paying a huge amount of money for the cruise already, being sold the Sun Princess vision 😁 and on the basis that all that was included in our holiday. Then suddenly they change the vision!
  21. So we booked our Sun Princess cruise with Old Princess Plus i.e. before December 14th (when they announced the Plus/Premier changes). Am I correct in assuming that if I don't pay the upgrade fee ($100 each) to the new Plus tier, we will need to pay to eat at Alfredos, pay the Ocean Now activation fee and pay for each Room Service delivery during the voyage? i.e. were they considered part of my original package?
  22. I believe it's up to 4 people - you pay for the Cabana rental only. On the more recent Royal class ships, I found the cabanas were less exposed to the sun than the loungers around the edges but it will depend on location and the position of the sun. For example, when we booked loungers for our port day in Crete on Sky Princess, the loungers were in the blazing sun on the day which wasn't apparent when we booked in Athens! So I made a point of booking Cabanas after that. You do get the sunlight but you don't get burned to a crisp!
  23. Depends what you enjoy. It was quite relaxing to sit on a private sofa, work your way through the half bottle of spirits (we chose vodka) and cola and select from the fruit and nut nibbles. And yes we even listened to some of the music channels on the headphones for a while. The loungers tend to have greater protection from the sun too than the regular loungers (on Enchanted Princess) which suited our pale Brit complexions. 😁
