  1. I wouldn't think any consent needed, but if you are worried, I would call Celebrity to make sure.
  2. We have successfully used FBC for every overseas cruise we have done with Celebrity. Most recently in January for our flights to Australia. The big advantage was we could book one airline to Sydney (AA) and another for the return flight from Melbourne, (Air NZ) with both in Premium Economy. The cost was a lot less than we could have done booking ourselves. We booked these flights last May and on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving we got an offer to upgrade to BC on the flights to Sydney from AA, we jumped on this. Earlier this week there was a post on another social media site about FBC from a very happy FBC passenger. They were flying from NYC to Venice last year. The morning of their flight they woke up to a message from FBC that their flight to Venice on United had been changed to a flight on Swiss Air to Zurich connecting to Venice. At first they were very upset and called FBC to find out the change was made because during the night the UA flight to Venice had been canceled and FBC was able to move them to Swiss Air. The poster's comment was he was happy to not be one of the other 200+ UA passengers trying to scramble on their own to bet rebooked to Venice.
  3. Our favorite and IMO the best specialty restaurant of any cruise line.
  4. When we added CO to our Koningsdam cruise last year, we already had the aft facing verandah cabin we wanted with no higher category available we got $100 OBC instead of the upgrade.
  5. I just read that blog and it confirms everything being said here about the upcoming refurbishment.
  6. When we booked our 2025 cruise in 2022 we were told that the Marina would be getting the same total refurbishment as Riviera before our cruise next year. I admit it is disappointing, but not enough to deter us from going on the cruise. We booked this cruise for the itinerary, not so much for the ship. I have no doubts we will still love the cruise.
  7. Usually if you are changing cabin category and pricing you have to cancel the previous cruise and initiate a totally new booking, but you will lose any booking amenities and addons from the previous cruise. You could lose CO if it is already sold out for your cruise. It is the same if the price drops for your cabin, you have to rebook to get the new pricing.
  8. If you are past final payment you should call HAL or whoever you booked the cruise through to ask this question.
  9. Once someone left a towel on our deck chair, I guess to reserve it, that we promptly removed. One of the times when I asked a passenger to move from our chairs, she said "what's the harm you weren't using it"
  10. We are booked in a A3 cabin on the Marina next year, it had been my understanding that all of the cabins were getting cabin and bathroom refurbishing with the dry docking in April, has this changed? If this is the case I am not too pleased about this.
  11. 10 years ago we booked a Lanai stateroom on the Volendam, we had two dedicated loungers outside our door to the lower promenade deck and several times we had to ask passengers to move from our chairs, even though there was signage about the chairs being reserved for the particular cabins.
  12. I have seen similar notices on both HAL and Celebrity, but the problem is it is hardly ever enforced as the crew do not want to get into confrontations with passengers.
  13. On the non-Pinnacle ships, including the Noordam, CO dining is in the MDR, but you have a separate waiting line entrance for dinner and have seating priority over the non-CO passengers waiting to be seated. You will also get the extra CO menu with nightly special entree's. It is not the same experience as the dedicated CO dining room but IMO the next best option. At one time the MDR's had a roped off section exclusively for CO passengers, but I am not sure that is still the case.
  14. I agree with your assessment. We booked our August Volendam cruise in February last year in a Vista Suite and now only guarantee cabins are available but they are about $1000pp more than when we booked our Category A VS. We have been on 7 post covid cruises on HAL and Celebrity and not once have I seen a price drop after we booked, and we tend to book early. Of the two lines Celebrity had the most dramatic price increases after we booked.
  15. For our Koningsdam cruise from San Diego last November, check in times were not assigned until 7 days out from sailing.
  16. When we booked our Nov 2023 Koningsdam cruise CO was sold out, but when I had my TA check back 2 weeks later 2 spots had opened up and we added it. I would suggest doing the same as waitlisting may not be as successful.
  17. My thoughts too, we booked our upcoming August Volendam through my TA and got the same early booking HIA bonus.
  18. CO is available on all HAL ships, for ships older than Pinnacle class CO dining is in MDR but with priority seating and an extra special entree and starter. We have it on our August Volendam cruise.
  19. I called HAL about this issue and they said the no individual cabins are listed is because only guarantee cabins are available and you cannot pick you cabin.
  20. It is possible to book a one way fare, but when you book the return flight later, you will have to cancel the first flight and rebook the whole trip. You can book different leave from and return to airports.
  21. On the Kongingsdam last November they had Fever Tree in cans in most bars.
  22. If you book the lowest V level cabin and add club orange you get the free upgrade to the highest available V category cabin. Do it right and the upgrade will pay for your CO add. We booked a level B Vista Suite and added CO to get upgraded to a level A VS on our August Volendam cruise. The cost difference of the B VS A paid for our CO add, without CO we would have booked the level A VS anyway. On the Pinnacle class ships with CO dining room that alone is worth the upgrade and cost of CO, all the other CO amenities are just gravy.
  23. We have also used the Tour Guy in Italy and Europe. Book Tours, Activities, and Experiences | The Tour Guy
  24. No we were actually ticketed and paid when we made changes.
  25. I dought you Cando this online, I would call them directly to ask if possible.
