  1. I was having issues but it seems to be o.k. now, was able to order my medallion for my Oct. cruise plus set up dining. I did it on my laptop, not my phone, using the "try our web version" as suggested.
  2. Caprese sandwich toasted, mozzarella, tomato, pesto, absolutely the best. Ate them very often on my 30 day So. Amer. cruise, got to be a "thing" with those working in the IC.
  3. I use Chrome and still can't sign in, just tried a minute or so ago.
  4. I'm having login difficulties, too. Also when I clicked on my Fall NE cruise, to fill in some info, it took me to my April TA cruise on the Regal. I made sure I was on the right booking but it kept coming up with the Regal info. Definitely frustrating, I'll try again later.
  5. Interesting thread, going on a cruise in Oct., first since 2019. Covid, sold my house, moved to an apartment in Iowa. I use a Samsung phone because my nephew insisted. Perpetually single, bar fly, traveling alone, like interaction of meeting, talking with people. I never hang out in my cabin, 30+ cruises, no room service. Pleased to know I can walk up to a bar and get a drink. I don't plan on using my phone. I will add the app, because I need to figure out the dining.
  6. Found this on the Majestic trying to book a coastal for Sept. '24. I ended up booking an Emerald BW midship rather than the DW. My TA was able to get me a DW on the Regal for the Grand Adventure April '24. It was booked as 2 separate cruises though. I'm fussy about wanting midship, and like those "obstructed" views on Emerald. Sailing single, pricing gets to be an issue so those are a good option. Having a great TA is a must for me.
  7. Great posts so far, enjoy the rest of your cruise, I'll be following along. I'm taking the Regal TA Apr. '24 with this cruise following. Can't wait!
  8. Thanks for all the info, folks! I'm looking for a hotel, too, haven't sailed out of FLL since '16. I think I might try Riverside or Hyatt just for the heck of it. Was never overly impressed with Embassy. I have stayed at Best Western, too. I like the convenience of shuttle service, traveling alone. I'm older so at this stage of my life, paying double for a single cabin, hotel price, don't care.
  9. I have above average hearing for my age, have to carry ear plugs with me. I've had to do this for years due to the sensitivity.
  10. posted twice, sorry. I'm having trouble posting lately for whatever reason.
  11. EZ air should work with you on this. I've had good luck with them when plans go awry. Reverse situation, ship late to LA, hundreds missed flights on Good Friday. Delta told me I had to wait until Sunday. I called and got a flight to ATL then Milwaukee. Got home at 3 a.m. Sat. but better than staying 2 nights in LA.
  12. duplicate post, don't know why it happened, took forever to post, then twice.
  13. This obsession with embarkation time is another one of those perpetual issues that really isn't one. Time spent waiting to get on the ship isn't a deal breaker to me or any reason for dissatisfaction. As previous poster stated, key cards took time, too. I'm not smart phone savvy, I'll fill out what I can on line, order my medallion, pick it up at the port. Oh, the horror, my doing this might delay someone else. I'm elite and boarding time does not matter.
  14. I'm a fan of the IC and early a.m. I always sit by Vines. I'm an early riser and never find the IC too crowdy before, say 8 a.m. unless an early port stop of course. I'm on board for longer cruises, travel alone and I've gotten good at finding my alone space (or at least quieter spots).
  15. Interesting read, as always. Haven't cruised since Oct. 2019, Northern Lights. Being a colder weather cruise, late Fall, no overly casual dress. I like to dress up, basically don't care what people wear. I don't take shorter cruises or go to the Caribbean, warm weather cruises. I think things being more casual everywhere have an impact (church, events, graduations, etc.) What I don't get is the hardline taken about this. I've been cruising since since the 1980s, when formal was formal. People dressed up and cruising was way different. Times have changed, but I still like cruising. If I want to dress nice for dinner every night my choice. If others don't, not a problem. I'm never as dressy as some or as casual as others. I would never wear shorts in a dining room any time of day, capris, yes. To me, key is, Princess isn't usually enforcing dress codes. Who am I to get upset with what others are wearing? I'm in my 70s, I worry about myself when I travel, especially because I'm alone. Getting upset with others, nope.
