  1. Best comedy is on 3/4 nighters, after 10pm'ish and at all bars, dance venues & events. It's free... no reservations required. 🤣
  2. As you know from several previous threads in recent weeks, this has been happening for several years. It's just now recently you're noticing it because you're actually looking for it, so you think it's something new. Again, this has been happening for years. This is totally normal and has been occurring on most of the sailings I have booked after final payment date, and for less money than the original deployment offering. edit: predominantly for the lower priced cabins such as interior and OV.
  3. I cruised a month last year for the first time... s2s2b2s2s ... 4 different classes of ships over 33 days. Each ship was a different vacation, not many ports duplicated, different shows, different venues, different cabin types. I felt like home on each ship, yet also excited for a new start for each sailing. I thought this was fantastic! Worked out beautifully. Maybe this could be something you could try?
  4. Natural outdoor sunlight vs. interior lighting from the Promenade. You'll see for yourself when you get to your cabin... these are way better than the promenade rooms. Have a great cruise! 👍
  5. These are more spacious than Voyager/Freedom Class Promenade views interiors. And like OV balcony cabins, you'll find these cabins interchanging from bed-close-to-bathroom to bed-close-to-window. Here's my last one I had on Harmony... the furniture is the newer style, Oasis will still have the dated brown/beige cabinets & green sofa bed, however the size/space will be exactly the same.
  6. You should re-think the RoyalUP. The CP view interiors are the best secret on Oasis Class, the best value, and my favorite cabin category for the price. They are larger than most interior cabins... the entire balcony of the cabin above makes up part of the interior space. So for three people this gives you the best bang for the buck regarding space for the 3 of you.
  7. I'm the 4th CP150 vote as the #1 choice if you're only choosing one. I was highly underwhelmed by Hooked. Agreed. If OP has never tried Wonderland this would be 2nd on Symphony. Chops 3rd. Jamie's is a big no for me... RC should've kept Giovanni's.
  8. On Icon, it'll be $799 per person On anything Radiance Class or lower, 99$ per person.😉
  9. Navigator (all Voyager Class and Freedom Class ships) are probably the worst to do a RoyalUp from a balcony to a JS. I have read complaints about the deck 6 and 7 aft JS's in the center aft looking directly onto the large blue covering rather than at the ocean. Useless balconies and highly obstructed in my opinion.
  10. Surprising to me it's not 128 more rooms like on Voyager and Freedom Classes (removing parts of the gym/steam room, library, Next Crusie, etc etc). I would've expected a whole row of deck 5 balcony cabins in place of the running track 😛 (ooops..... sssssssssssssh!!!!! I can see it now.... outside promenade on the smaller ships and Oasis running track full decks of balcony cabins lol)
  11. Love this spot! Way better than that windowless hole on deck four on all the other Oasis ships. BTW, do they allow alcohol on the Carousel 😆
  12. Yes! 👍 No 👎 Maybe? 😕 All three answers above apply. RCI = "Really Consistently Inconsistent" One ship will let you do what you want, the ship next door in the same port won't. Normally I have done multiple of anything, including an entree if I wished to have something placed in the center of the table to share with my significant other for example, or if I decide that one of the entrees I want as my appetizer instead.
  13. You won't be... you may like it better 👍
  14. Right... so Freedom & Voyager classes visit Cayman, and Q Class can do Bermuda. Those are large ships that do not require Radiance or Vision Class. Any others around the world?
  15. You're nitpicking... if you're going to quote me use the entire sentence. It is very clear I already know this and it wasn't the meaning
  16. Vision Class.. not for long in my humble non-official uninformed "just taking a guess" opinion. Radiance Class ... will be around for a lot longer than many think again in my humble non-official uninformed "just taking a guess" opinion. The likelihood that Royal builds a "small" ship under 130,000 GT is minimal. Jewel is only 20 years old this year, 5 years newer than Voyager of the Seas for example and only 5 years older than Oasis of the Seas.... I feel that Radiance Class will continue to service Baltimore, Tampa and Vancouver into the next decade while RC continue to build large(er) ships in order to make the highest profits for their shareholder. Yes... Silversea is expensive. Have you priced SilverSea out in comparison to Icon or Utopia sailings lately? Are Icon or Utopia viable options? They seem to be for thousands and thousands of RC customers every single week at incredibly expensive prices that are close to equal to the luxury lines.
  17. I have also been on a land vacation.... absolute total waste of time and money doing this from a cruise.
  18. Any Caribbean & Europe port current regularly serviced by Royal can fit both the small ships as well as the large ships.... and Alaskan ports... and Canadian ports... and Oz/NZ etc. The only reason Royal even stop at Huatulco and Punta Arenas is for the Panama Canal sailings.... that's it, couple times a year.
  19. I think I've seen overwhelming support for Oasis Class here on this forum, of veteran cruisers. Other than Vancouver, Tampa & Baltimore (home ports spoken about ad nauseum on this forum), what are the "ports worldwide" that Royal regularly visit that a Voyager Class or Quantum Class doesn't visit already?
  20. My first time on Oceania I marvelled everyday that there was NO ONE at guest services... EVER! Nothing to complain about. Same with Virgin I assume 👍 Loving all the food pics and various venues. Thx again LB.
  21. This 100%. If low sales for a specific sailing, price will drop. RC Dynamic pricing as has already been said a thousand times. Capitalism at it's best... this is expected for a capitalistic economy and a business which has to answer to their shareholders. Royal knows if you can afford $2000-$5000 per person for a 7 day on Icon, you can easily afford $100 at Hideaway. Personally, I hope everyone here books Hideaway at huge prices and go there just to sit on loungers and do nothing all day (same as they would in any other area)... I'll be having a ball snorkelling, jet skiing, and playing volleyball @ Southbeach with pretty much just as good food.
