    Did you pick the deposit only option when you paid? There were two buttons, pay in full and pay deposit only.

    I know what downlining is but you still couldn’t do it if it violated the PVSA. Possibly HAL is eating the fine. Interestingly as of 2021 RCL has banned all downlining.

    Victoria is irrelevant. It’s only useful on a closed loop cruise. Juneau to Seattle needs a foreign DISTANT port.

    All the laws around the PVSA exception ended when Canada started to allow cruise ships. It was not extended to my knowledge.

    Assuming it’s a Seattle return cruise, no you can’t. That would violate the PVSA.

    Thanks. We booked one of the freebies to the Mexican Riviera. I’ll see what Black Friday brings to any drink package sale. It’s been a while since we’ve sailed without a drink package 😂

    I ended up calling on Saturday and got a date booked. I just received a confirmation from the form I submitted so now we have 2 bookings. I’ll cancel this second one. But if you submitted a form, they’re still processing them.

    I know for absolute certain we will never ever book one of these. I don’t need to “try it”. I’m fully aware of our wants on vacation and that ain’t it.

    Thanks. I may have to look at another airline. If I take a later flight I’m 5 or 6 hours sitting at Seatac. That would suck.

    If your port before LA is San Diego do you think an 11:15 flight would be ok? I’m thinking there would be no need to clear customs in LA.

    Yes, we picked three dates that would work and got our third choice. The guy did seem to think they’d get more cabins to sell but it could take 24 hours.

    Celebrity only charges if you take it to a restaurant or bar. Not in cabin consumption.

    Always do it and have done for years. The hold will just drop off if not used.

    That’s what I think I booked yesterday. Nowhere does it say non refundable on the confirmation. I put a hold on it, I’ll phone and confirm the non refundable part before making a deposit.
