  1. Hey friends! We just created a new video about staying in an accessible sea terrace room on the Valiant Lady and it's a must-see for anyone interested in traveling with mobility issues. The cabin and the ship as a whole are designed with accessibility in mind, and it's so inspiring to see such thoughtfulness in the travel industry. Check out the video and let us know what you think! https://youtu.be/2o4TitOsNGQ
  2. I am the only one who drinks coffee, I should have been more precise, but I did have to go to Customer service to get the credit applied on the last day.
  3. It won't indicate anything till you are booked, but it will be automatically applied. Also, if you have friends that might like to sail, you can send them a referral code and you both get $50 if they book.
  4. We ate in the food court, but will check our notes, I think Razzle Dazzle was open, but I am not sure about the wake. We got off as quickly as possible, we were driving to Port Canaveral to board the Prima.
  5. The lack of accessible excursions were my biggest disappointment, but the food was good. I wouldn't want to do a crossing unless I was sure that there would be new food options. We just got off of the Prima, and Valiant Lady's internet was so much better than NCL's.
  6. They kept billing me for the coffee and I had a $10.00 per day allowance. The process is supposed to be automatic where the credit is applied, but at the end of the cruise they were all showing on my account.
  7. One thing about the food at the ship show - The choices are fish and chicken. The fish was very good, but the appetizers were two unknown substances, one was fishy smelling, and might have been octopus, the other was a meat cake that seemed to be raw, the lights were down low enough that you couldn't really tell. Neither my wife or I was a fan of that course.
  8. The Galley is still inconsistent in the food ordering process. Sometimes you would walk in and sit down and a server would show up immediately, and sometimes no one showed up. Once they showed up, then things were pretty good. There was one occasion where my wife ordered an omelet and got it, then two or three more servers tried to give her another one. We had the Deep Blue Extra perks, and found that process required going to customer service the last night to have them take off charges for things that should have been complementary. It is interesting that for us, on a shorter cruise we found the food variety very good, but by the end of day 8, we had tried all of the dishes that we wanted and some of the meals a couple of times. So more variety would be helpful. Two shows that stood our to us weas the the acapella group The Magnets, and the The Ship show were stand outs. They both book up so make your reservations early.
  9. They have different menus, and I would be surprised if they didn't have a vegetarian option. You can ask when you get onboard and they will let you know.
  10. I can say that we have used the early boarding, you get the 1:30 time slot, but you have to ask, we have gotten the premium internet, fresh squeezed juice, they have a party on the perch for members, we will shake for the champagne but haven't, and I need to check because you are supposed to get $10 per day for coffee, but that hasn't been credited yet.
  11. We are currently on the Valiant Lady heading toward Bimini. We can answer questions about the ports to some extent, about the ship and we will be sharing a lot of what we hope is helpful information. Tomorrow, we are at Bimini on the way back.
  12. We are onboard the Valiant Lady, and you can also just go to the restaurant of your choice and get in for brunch. We have done both. If you go into the Wake at 12:00 you can also order the Filet which is on the lunch menu not the brunch menu.
  13. We were on board and there was a medical emergency. They transported someone from the ship via ambulance. I was topside as we were sailing away, and it surprised me that all of a sudden we started moving back to the dock.
  14. We just got off the Summit, and will be sharing photos, videos, and other content from the cruise. Here is a video of part of Le Petit Chef. If you haven't tried this, it was a great time, and if you book it for the first day on the ship is a great bargain.
  15. We visited Martinique on our Rhapsody of the Seas cruise. We took this #accessible tour of Martinique and Cheryl wrote this blog post about it. https://www.travelingwithachair.com/blog/ooh-la-la-a-day-tour-in-martinique

  17. We just got off the Rhapsody of the Seas in Barbados, and I created this tour of the cabin. I will say that this cabin had its good points and some issues. The air conditioning was very spotty, the first three nights couldn't even sleep under a sheet. We called maintenance 2 times and then I went to customer service and it started working better. Others on the same hallway said their cabins were cool to cold. Hot water in the sink took forever, unless you had been in the shower and got the water hot first. Here is a video of our accessible cabin on the Rhapsody of the Seas, I hope you find it helpful.
  18. Tonight's live stream will be from the Rhapsody of the Seas. We will talk about our time in Barbados, and why we think it is a top choice for an accessible vacation. We will also talk about the advantage of staying in Barbados before a cruise. We hope to have some special guests joining us depending on how the internet is.
  19. Rogers Scuba Shack was great, they did a refresher course for my wife and then some wreck dives near by.

  21. You can rent a Whill Ci or C2, and they are small, and can be broken down. They work better on the ship than most, you don't have to transfer for a meal. You can get these from Scootaround. They also have collapsing scooters the can be folded up and put in the trunk of a vehicle.
  22. What are the final steps in preparing for accessible travel❓ What information should you have available❓ Do you want a free information sheet to help❓ Join our live show tonight Sunday 11.13.22 at 7:00 PM ET, or click the picture for the replay.
  23. I just submitted the status match request, and I got the email with the match in about an hour, and when I checked my upcoming sailing, they had the Deep Blue on my cabin.
