  1. The report of the backed up ships and the congestion is correct, and they are limiting the tonnage of the ships passing through the canal.
  2. I just made this cruise more interesting as we are sailing from New York to Quebec in an inside cabin, and the reverse will still be in Princess Grill. The pricing on the New York to Quebec was so cheap we couldn't walk away, and the flights were significantly cheaper RT NYC.
  3. Are you curious about what it's like inside Norwegian Prima's casino? I'm excited to share our immersive 360ยฐ virtual tour. Whether you're planning your next cruise adventure or simply exploring from the comfort of your home, this unique experience will take you right into the heart of the onboard entertainment. Simply move your phone or click and drag on your PC, and don't forget to go fullscreen to zoom in and out. Enjoy exploring and let me know what you think! https://youtu.be/QSK_Qj5eiW8
  4. It could be a challenge, we had about half serious racers and the other half were just obstacles to deal with.
  5. When we sailed on the Scarlett Lady, we filmed tours of all the restaurants. Here is the tour of the Wake.
  6. No, the test kitchen on Virgin Voyages, is a restaurant with a unique decor to look like a lab, and an unusual menu. If you watch you will get an idea.
  7. We have used a mobility scooter on our last two trips. In Skagway, the town is perfectly flat and works well. You can also rent a car in town and drive into Emerald Lake in Canada, you would pass the Carcross Desert, Carcross and White Pass. In Ketchikan, there is an accessible tour into Misty Fjords National Park, that tour is provided by Allen Marine. In Juneau the city bus is accessible, and on the last trip my wife used the scooter and we got off at the closest stop to Mendenhall, which is a little over a mile away, she used the scooter, and I walked. Victoria is a challenge, because you have a very short time in port usually, we have never gotten off.
  8. I talked with the admin about this post, and she said I should have done better on the title and provide a little more context.
  9. I would always check the details, because if it is really accessible, you should see a note there. I run into the issue across all the cruise lines.
  10. You are welcome. My wife and I create content about accessible travel because it is so hard to find things.
  11. ๐Ÿšข Navigating the world of accessible travel can be complex, but it doesn't have to be! We sat down with Ron Pettit, Head of Accessibility at Royal Caribbean, to discuss how they accommodate passengers with unique needs. ๐Ÿ™Œ In our video, we delve into key questions like cabin availability for passengers needing accessibility, ship-wise accessibility distribution, different levels of accessibility, and how Royal Caribbean safeguards these facilities for those who genuinely need them. We also explore accessible excursions, accommodations for blind, deaf, and autistic passengers, the accessibility of spa, pools, and hot tubs, and what assistance Royal Caribbean provides to those with challenges. After this chat, it's clear that Royal Caribbean is leading the way in being autism-friendly, mobility-friendly, vision-impaired friendly, and hearing-impaired friendly. 13. I would love to know what to expect onboard and any helpful tips. We are staying in a Princess Grill Suite
  14. I try to provide information about accessible travel, and so I share our journeys where I can. I started because I couldn't find answers to the questions I had. And since I am on the ship, I share things that I hope will interest others.
  15. Sorry about the ad sounding post, I use the same information on all my media channels, and some of them getter responses with this type of post.
  16. This was a review of what we ate, and if I had known there was another option, I would have traded those out in a heartbeat. I am responsible for the description above. It is designed to get people to watch the video, because that is where the information is.

  18. My wife traveled with a wheelchair for a number of years, and we started renting mobility scooters because it gives her independence. She can go where she wants and I no longer have to push her wheelchair around. Special Needs group and Scootaround both provide rentals for the duration of a cruise. She has a Whill Ci2 that works best for her, very maneuverable, and that comes from Scootaround.
  19. Here is a video highlighting the accessible things to do on an Alaskan Cruise with Princess. https://youtube.com/live/-Fbu2PlyhVc
  20. This video talks about the land portion including the stops in Talkeetna and Denali Wilderness lodge, and ends in Fairbanks.
  21. This link is to a recording of a live show talking about Disabled Travel to Alaska. We look at the ports and excursions. This video focuses on doing a Princess Cruisetour since several attending were going to do that.
  22. One suggestion is to see if you can pick up the scooter before going into the port and return it there after the cruise. This way you can expedite the boarding process. As far as the scooter you rent, my wife uses a Whill Ci2 from Scootaround, and it is the best we have seen. On my YT channel there are quite a few videos of her using the scooter and showing how well it works. Here is one. https://studio.youtube.com/video/FoTXgbeErII/edit
  23. That is funny, I am the same way about getting it out, where I use some editors occassionally and they like perfect.
  24. Shooting the video is one thing, editing and making it something people will watch is entirely another.
  25. Sorry it didn't cover all you needed, what else would you want in the video. I have another one coming from a Valiant Lady cruise where my wife was using a power chair.
