Stefmaia- you will have a choice. Book with the concierge as we do while in the Haven boarding lounge or shortly after boarding ( there will be a sign on their desk). As for seating , you can sit in the Haven reserved seats on the left ,half way up from the stage or do as we do, go down 45 minutes before the show with the asst concierge or butler in the crew elevator and go into the theater in the secret passage near the stage and sit orchestra center third row. The reserved Haven seats are held until 10 minutes before the show and then released for the standing room crowd.

What are the best dishes at Le Bistro?
Treasure Hunter replied to pookel's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
We like the mushroom soup, duck, and all the desserts -
I got carried away on a Princess cruise and kept charging $20 before I knew it I had a $1200 bill. I learned my lesson.

Bring cash. Then you know how much you are going to lose. The temptation to keep charging to your room is dangerous!

Suite experience comparison? (E-class vs. S-class)
Treasure Hunter replied to Tom-n-Cheryl's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We have found that the nicest suites are on Princess especially price wise but there are little to no other amenities. No guarantee of the sanctuary even if you wanted to pay, no separate restaurant just a roped off space and the suite ( concierge ) room only on the newer ships so we have drifted to Celebrity and NCL Haven. We really like Celebrity and to paraphrase Some Like it Hot. Nobody (or no cruise line) is perfect. We like an over hang for privacy and shade. -
3 Things I'll Miss About NCL, and 3 Things I Won't

Hahaha😂👍 -
You can print extra tags and send their luggage to your room ( I’m assuming you are close by). We have done that and then they can get it from your room after lunch.

I will try that if it’s January and don’t pop up. Thanks for another great cruise critic buddy

Does the Reflection still have a library on board?
Treasure Hunter replied to mrsbunder's topic in Celebrity Cruises
As a retired librarian, the idea of making the library into inside cabins is a stab in my heart. Last time on the Reflection, I was able to exchange my paperbacks for some really good ones left by other passengers. I usually buy 20 books from ThriftBooks.com and leave them by the end of the cruise. I had a whole carry all full of books. The only cruise line that I have been on recently, that still has a great library is Oceania. -
Suite experience comparison? (E-class vs. S-class)
Treasure Hunter replied to Tom-n-Cheryl's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We are on the Edge in January in a Celebrity suite. Previously on the Reflection, Equinox, Silhouette in Sky and Celebrity suites. The Celebrity suite on the hump with the angled balcony is terrific. We always have them tape up the stupid bedroom window so you can nap. We won't be able to do that on the Edge as the whole sliding door is frosted glass. We are on the Edge in March in a Royal Suite and I am anxious that if I can't find shade in the retreat because of chair hogs, I'm screwed because of the tiny balcony. Maybe they can take all the furniture off and replace it with one lounge chair ( my husband is just as happy inside the room). This is the first time in a Royal Suite because when we booked, all Celebrity suites across the entire fleet for March 2023 were gone. I really hope I like the Edge because I loved the other ships a lot. -
Thanks, but I sweat about everything. I will be a basket case waiting for the pier. I only relax once I'm on the ship.

3 Things I'll Miss About NCL, and 3 Things I Won't
Treasure Hunter replied to AndyCapn's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
We used to only go on Princess and Oceania then friends of ours convinced us to go on Celebrity. NCL cruises year round from New York and I LOVE THE SLOTS so now we go Celebrity from Florida ( they give me 40% off even off the biggest suite) and NCL Haven which subtracts the cost of an ocean view (very little ). Sthrngary, you will be in a state of shock on Oceania especially if you like trivia where it is a Blood sport. You will meet very A type personalities. Everyone is either a former CEO or a Professor of Classical Literature ( joking). Food good ( but not as good as they make it out to be, great itineraries, excellent service especially if you are in a suite, and no lines) They have a small outdoor grill open for when you come back from touring with delicious Reubens, and Fish sandwiches. Now that we've gone Haven, I just am so happy with NCL that I accept no matter how much I bet they aren't giving me gobs off. Last cruise I hit four big handpays, gave it all back and nothing changed. -
I paid in full and got my edocs but luggage tags say pending ? I’ve gone back several times and can’t get them to print. Guess they stopped mailing the nice ones even if you are in a suite

You are Screwed. My kids used that promo to fly to a Thanksgiving cruise last year to fly from Atlanta to a cruise that left out of Miami. Bad weather cancelled their flight. NCL would not put them on another flight until the next day arriving after the ship left! They got in their car and drove all night. Trying to get re-imbursed was a nightmare. The airline bounced it to NCL who bounced it back to American . Finally the insurance paid them half even though they couldn't fly back after the cruise because they had their car in Miami. Their decision ( and we all cruise a lot) was NEVER again to book through NCL. You get what you pay for.

Don't travel all the way to JFK. When my kids come to NY from Atlanta they always go to a Hockey game at Madison Square Garden before going home. They store their luggage at places they find online ( some hotels, or computer repair shops). This way you will have from 9 am until late afternoon in the City. Give yourself extra time to get out to the airport if you are leaving the city rush hour ( starts around 4). You can see a lot in that time. If it's the weekend or a Wednesday you could even see a matinee Broadway show! Go to the top of the Empire State Building or World Trade. eat lunch at Katz's Deli.

Yes it was a milk shake not an ice cream soda. I think my impression was poor because we left from NY and on the Breakaway, the Diner is totally outdoors and it was FREEZING and we were not dressed appropriately because the last ship we were on ( I think it was the Bliss or the Encore) it was inside. But even so, I'd rather eat the Haven burger in comfort ( and the frito misto and the cobb salad and the Banana cream dessert). I think the Diner on RCCL is much tastier. But anyone who cooks, serves me and cleans up gets a star in my book.

Is Sharing A WIFI Account Possible?
Treasure Hunter replied to DENBET30's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
We went to the AT&T store and had my email out on my husband’s phone. He gets unlimited WiFi and we pass his phone back and forth without logging on or off. It works great unless he hogs it to look up sports scores. -
Not Getting Off Ship at a Port on Norwegian?
Treasure Hunter replied to Mr&MrsBennifer2022's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
The best excursion in Tortola. Is the boat or cat. To The Baths ( giant sculptures boulders in the water to swim or snorkel around. ) Do not do the excursion that has you walk through the cave to the beach. It takes too long especially if you get behind someone gingerly walking slowly in flip flops ( it’s single file). We did this excursion once and it was spectacular. In 50+ cruises we never bother to get off the ship in the Caribbean anymore. The ship is so nice we enjoy watching the 80% who do get off , get off. Ah, peace . -
We were in the Haven on the Breakaway in September and were given that offer but didn’t take it. The Haven restaurant was so busy all cruise that they took all the lounges out of the pool deck and put in tables. Not many people wanted to eat at the diner because it is outside and the weather was cold.

How much does a can of coke cost on NCL?
Treasure Hunter replied to rabidstoat's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
No sure but I think on the Breakaway it was $3 plus tip -
My head is spinning. They put Bermuda back ( and took away a warm beach day). Wackadoodle. Thank goodness they didn't mess with the Orlando ( Disney) port. We will all have a great time no matter where that ship goes. It's like mystery meat on Meatballs but it's the mystery ship instead.
