Don't know why you dining times should take so long. My experience is in the 1.15 hrs. tops Maybe you have a large group and waiters wait for everyone before taking dining orders. Do you have an inkling, as the new skimpy menu will not resolve your issue, unless it drives many Paxs to the WJ. I think it's more of an economic issue, otherwise why would they charge for a 2nd lobster tail + 18% grats.

Go to page 2 "New menu reported on Symphony".

I sent an e-mail with broker statement attachment for my December '23 Harmony cruise. Received response that the attachment was not readable, even though I used the same method in the past. Replied and did not hear from them in some 2 weeks. Did the next best thing, faxed and received confirm of the $100 OB the very next day. I wish the hold time is that fast when you call them.π

How soon can you go to your cabin after check in
nelblu replied to JOHN 57's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Or when your cabin is available. Usually, it's in the 1PM time, but could be earlier. -
Maybe it's a Thanksgiving blessing. I remember during the pandemic one of my refunds was for $.10 cents.

No MDR lunch on sea days anymore?
nelblu replied to 4Nathan's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Maybe they are waiting to see how Carnival does with its fee on a 3rd entree.π -
I'm on the Oasis December 4 sail and the MDR dinner menu is there. No changes appear.

Really, that sucks. Do only MDR on Oasis for omelets. If I recall, prior to pandemic they made omelets in the old wipeout cafe. -
Just an opinion, but it may drive more traffic to the WJ, unless they crap that out also, and impact the level of extra grats to the wait staff.

Omelets in MDR and Johnny Rockets. However, I was able to get made to order omelets on Allure in the WJ in February. FYI, prior to pandemic, the Oasis Class MDR for breakfast had a buffet breakfast with a made to order omelets stations along with many other breakfast items. This was in addition to the breakfast menu. In addition to the luncheon menu, they offered a "Tutti" salad bar with waiters making salads at request, pasta stations, antipasti, etc. and some 7-9 hot dishes. Really enjoyed it. -

We were surprised when we went to the MDR around 1:15 PM for lunch and were told that they were closed. Maybe we did not pay attention to the daily planner. -
However, towards the end of Portofino, the half lobster tail was the size of a large shrimp.

John, do you know if the Bechamel is anything like Neufchatel cream cheese. Inquiring minds want to know.π I remember, an x neighbor used Cottage Cheese rather than Ricotta. As an Italian who emigrated for the Mezzo Giorno part, I found this to be blasphemous.

Maybe they should bring back the "Tutti" salad for lunch, I can load up then and avoid the MDR.π

Really, long lines in the MDR for breakfast. I usually go for breakfast at around 8AM and the place is pretty empty. I've been on 2 Oasis cruises since the return to cruising. -
Shareholder benefit single occupancy
nelblu replied to ILOVEHI50's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Update: Amazing, got an e-mail a few minutes ago confirming the $100 shareholder's benefit. -
It's simply a shame that we have gone from a plethora of entrees to a possible miniscule 3-4 in the MDR. New cruisers will never taste that experience. At Jamie's we usually ordered the meat/cheese plank and the lamb chops. Very good. I also remember having lunch at Giovanni's and they had a dish--linguini with crabmeat--Never experienced the amount of crabmeat in a dish. it was to die for. Over the last 3-4 years, never seen it again. I guess due to the cost of crabmeat.

Too bad we don't have sample menus.

I remember that you had to rotate. In the initial concept, you rotated without the wait staff following you. The revised version allowed the wait staff to follow you. I loved the concept and had the pleasure of experiencing twice, one on Quantum and the second on Anthem before being discontinued. I remember when I sailed the Quantum, many wait staff was very morose (impact on grats.) as it was announced that Quantum was being relocated to Asia.
