  1. Not true at Tahoe. I call them 'foolish flatlanders.' Not really the adjective I used. Stay safe.
  2. This was an article from CNN. Not being funny - at all - but good is everyone's aim here? Are there any cruise ships back in the area?
  3. I was there back then and it quite impressive.
  4. Did you see that Tahoe got up to TEN FEET of snow and 190mph wind gusts.
  5. It can be but never has to be.
  6. I used to work for an airline and the word was pax.
  7. I read about it some years ago after being disappointed in our first and only Alaska. All tourist. That ferry sounded. Maybe I would have slept on the deck!
  8. I'm curious, what kinds of calculations does the spreadsheets do for you?
  9. Old thread but I'll put in that I wouldn't return to Santorini if I were paid to. NEVER. Gratefully we weren't on a cruise, just DIYing. This would have probably been in late May. A store owner there said that some Chinese parties come there to have their wedding photos taken. Not to get married just get the pix taken! Yes, it beautiful but a mobbed mess.
  10. This is the kind of thing that's going to have me closely watch O and similar lines. Maybe cruising is over for us.
  11. Well, we always share. Plus we were staying in an Airbnb so we had leftovers 🙂 Oh, and that big dinner was at an Italian place .(They are who settled BA. We had (shared again) a wonderful lunch with steak.
  12. I'm curious. Nowadays, do you ever cruise on any line other than Oceania? TIA
  13. Ooh, lucky you. We've had great times in BA. And, oh, the food is SO good.
  14. And different things for different people.
  15. I'll be honest with you. When someone writes an all glowing with praise review, I just blow it off.
  16. It's just incomprehensible!
  17. Our cruise line added several days in the Falklands. It was so weird to see green and blooming things. We were there in early January so summer was really there.
  18. I had never heard of nor seen them. This would be somewhere in western Chilean Patagonia before we boarded the ship for Antarctica.
  19. Absolutely. A few years ago we did a land/ship trip. We started in Buenos Aires, then Argentinian and Chilean Patagonia. Then moved onto a 400 passenger cruise ship to Antarctic and after that the Falklands ending in Santiago, Chile. For us anyway, it cost a lot but the destination(s) is IT for us.
  20. Great information. I wish they'd put it somewhere where all could see it.
