  1. Doesn't everyone travel "overseas" on a cruise? I thought that was the/a law. ???
  2. Good points. I do carry my 'what-if' bag of meds, bandages, etc. And I'm lucky - knock wood - that the only time I've needed anything was in Rio (where we had a place) and I ate salmonella-tainted peanut butter that was produced in the US. I quickly and easily found an English-speaking pharmacist (I find them quite common allover the world) and she gave me what I needed. Cipro!!!
  3. But if you have frequent port stops, you can get a ton of meds then, rx and non-rx.
  4. I don't think anyone has mentioned this but at 66 he just might be younger than the average cruiser 🙂 He won't have any trouble fitting in. (Oops, my comment is dependent on the cruise line; some do cater to the young' uns 🙂
  5. Right. So when do you use yours other than cruising? Camping?
  6. Oh, so it couldn't fly off and land in the water. Adding to the pollution.
  7. And the cruise line is fine with that? And I assume you must take it inside when not being used. High winds!
  8. I'm sure this doesn't do it justice but found this. A23a iceberg seen with striking arches and cavernous hollows as it floats away from Antarctica | CNN
  9. I have an O buddy. First time around I called them and I still talk to him about a future cruise. He said that he gets "credit" but not money and is quite happy to transfer to a TA. So I do.
  10. Sorry. No offense to anyone but a long series of long posts...well, I tend to not read them all.
  11. Are brunches cooked to order? And buffets are a whole bunch of food put out of a table?
  12. Being the dinosaur that I am, I still have an android phone and according to what I just recently read air tags are only for iPhones.
  13. Thanks. Glad to have some real experience.
  14. Will this work for you? Did you have it delivered to your cabin? Notice that it says "at" not "from". It means toasting to more of life's special moments on board with our FREE House Select beverage package, which includes a wide selection of vintage Champagnes, wines and beers during lunch and dinner at our onboard restaurants. included amenities and exclusive offers - Oceania Cruises oceaniacruises.com https://www.oceaniacruises.com › valu
  15. I tend to avoid buffets like the plague but I might give O a peek. Maybe.
  16. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure - having booked with Simply More - that you get the beer and wine in the dining venues only. Not the bars or room service.
  17. I've found in my oh-so-long life that people will complain, let's say here, but that's as far as it goes. If you don't go to the source, what have you really accomplished. And HOW you bring it up is HUGE. Be nice. Smile. Use good words. I've found it's made a huge difference. Enjoy HI.
  18. It will never be the same. But hopefully they can get to function again. Good for you for what you're doing.
  19. Really????? LOL. So not like this? If I already posted this, please excuse. It showed up as still waiting.
