  1. That is why we are trying to determine which ports are being talked about re RCI
  2. Well she did have a cruise then but it’s been cancelled.
  3. Ha ha. We really should have warned you about that.
  4. I have not been on Iona yet and may find her too large. Royal Caribbean is not to my liking as I hate those street malls they have. Loved the ice rink though.
  5. This is what I find encouraging, the amount of upright seats. I no longer want lie on a lounger but some ships have a lack of alternative seating.
  6. Did you go to any of the 4 main dining rooms?
  7. This has been a really lovely report with lots of information. I am glad you enjoyed your first cruise especially as you had problems occur just before you left. You have coped admirably. I hope you and your family go on many more.
  8. The wheelchair I used had a pedal on the back which you could use to lever the chair back to get up the kerb.
  9. You mentioned earlier that you have a wheelchair with the large rear wheels. I do think the wheelchairs with the four small wheels are more manoeuvrable plus are easy to get up and down kerbs.
  10. Exactly, your wife unfortunately can’t board a coach. Therefore going that bit further down the fjord to the village of Geiranger is not adding that much to the splendour of travelling down the Geiranger fjord, you will have already covered the majority of it especially if after Hellesylt they go past the Seven Sisters before travelling back. I know it is a compromise but look at the map, it is worth thinking about. Hellesylt would be easy to exit the ship with a wheelchair and view the village and fjord.
  11. You couldn’t push a wheelchair to the viewpoint. I don’t think you can walk to the lower viewpoint. We went by coach and then further up. If you cruise up the fjord past the seven sisters you have seen the best of that part of the that part of the fjord. If you look at the view of Hellesylt in the post earlier you can see there is also a bubbling river down into the fjord the same as Geiranger. Hellesylt is very far up the fjord so you have had a good voyage up the fjord. Although I can understand that people would be upset at missing the viewpoints you can reach by coach from Geiranger.
  12. The population of Geiranger is 250. Less than Hellisylt.
  13. That is because Hellesylt is in Geiraingerfjord, just a different branch of the fjord.
  14. There was a targeted offer for Adonia when she was brought back from Princess trading under the Fathom name travelling to Cuba. They were very good prices. She was sold soon afterwards.
  15. In the UK “ Fully vaccinated” is the first two primary doses. “Up to date” includes the booster. We upload from our App and therefore use the booster page. However it still says pending v
  16. Enjoy yourselves. Was on Regal last September and Sky in April. On Enchanted next as a replacement for a cancelled Arcadia.
  17. Princess cruises also have a longer period before to have the test, 3 days if up to date vaccinations including booster.
  18. I agree. The main advice is to be on port side doing a transatlantic going west and on starboard going east in order to face the sun (if thats want you want).
  19. Check your cruise online and see if they offer parking under Select, I doubt it. Have you thought of a car to take you down and pick you up on return.
  20. Perhaps you missed the publicity that it was going to be a horse show.
  21. This is correct. Have you followed this. I admit it not straightforward if you haven’t booked direct before.
  22. Have you tried putting the number of the cabin you want in the separate box, you need a capital letter.
  23. You must be looking for cruise insurance by name. Ordinary travel insurance covers cruises but not the special add ons.
  24. Only full curtain I know is is deluxe balcony on on Azura or Ventura. You can take metal hooks which attach to the ceiling and hang a shower curtain from them.
