We are true balcony fans. We have never been in a suite but book aft cabins with the larger balconies. People scoff when they say, "Who really uses them?"
WE DO!!!
Due to the Galveston port, many bring at least one bottle of wine on until they can use their Plus or Premier packages, or just purchase alcoholic beverages
The Sky also has Riedel and you can actually take them with you from the original.place of service without being chased down like a criminal! It was very refreshing for us last June!
Thank you so much for your review on the Sky. We truly enjoyed the Sky last June for Norway and Iceland. My only regret is that we did not try The Catch, but we will this June.
@Ken the cruiser Thank you so much for doing this!!! We would love to do this but we would need convincing for the South American ports as well as the long flights.
I truly hope that live reviews will be forthcoming! DH and I are so familiar with the other Princess ships and the Sun is like a very a foreign country.
@Drdarkknight I hope you are feeling better! As one of your "neighbors" a bit south of you, I understand the heat and humidity thing! (Washington state).
We will probably take the National Express coach from LHR when we arrive the day before the cruise. Then it will be a short cab ride to our hotel. Then we will take the Princess transfer from the port to LHR after disembarkment.
Last year, we took a private cab transfer from LHR to our hotel and they are VERY expensive!
Thanks to both of you. After so many posts regarding Australia. I was led to believe that there was absolutely NO SMOKING permitted anywhere. The posters led me astray.
1. No Vines 2. No Alfredo's 3. Buffet at the front with slanted windows that were either dirty and/ or steamed up to see out of (humidity) 4. No aft balconies 5. The International Cafe was right next to (and sort of part of) the Casino so it was miserable to get something from there. It polluted the area just walking by
For us, aft is the place to be. Sometimes it is not possible so we have other second choices. But we make sure it is a larger balcony and at least partially covered.
For us, the only reason we liked the Coral was because it can go through the old locks. We did the full transit in January 2018. If we book a full transit again, it will not be on the Coral and we can go through the new locks.
True, even Target has them often and has some sales. Take a look at Post #54. Also, there are quite a few shapes and sizes. I enjoy swirling room in my glass for aeration purposes.
