  1. On our last cruise, we got 6 miniatures - 2 each of vodka, gin and whisky - 2 beers, 2 coke, 2 sprite and 2 tonic waters. You can ask room service to swap any of them for an equivalent. And only one set-up!
  2. I don't think you need to buy the drinks package for 3rd or 4th passengers in the same cabin, only the first 2 passengers, so you shouldn't have to do this. Especially for a 6 month old! As above, suggest to take juice concentrate and you should be able to get milk in any restaurant (not just the buffet) - and if you ask, they may give you some to take back to the cabin too. Our kids are 21 and 19 now, but when they were little, P&O staff used to give us milk cartons to leave in the cabin fridge. They also used to provide baby food at the kids tea. I'm sure this will work out for you.
  3. Despite me being the lead passenger for - and paying for - all our cruises, it was my wife and not me who got invited to visit Royal Princess before her maiden voyage! At least she chose me as her +1 although come to think of it she did need someone to drive her there...
  4. I can't check this out personally since I don't have a future cruise booked with Princess at the moment, but this link should be available on the web when you access your booking: https://oceanready-personalinfo-ui.prod.ocean.com/ and that's how I managed to book a dining "plan" for my last Princess cruise.
  5. I managed to do this for our last cruise on Island Princess via the web link available through cruise personaliser instead of the app - booking a "dining plan" worked just fine with one reservation made resulting in a reservation for each of the 16 days.
  6. Our TUI flight on 2nd December has 7 rows of PE seats, although some of these are showing as blocked. There are 47 seats in those 7 rows, in a 2-3-2 configuration. Currently showing as 1 seat only remaining available.
  7. Β£75 (x2) was for the FCD that I had paid onboard, I can't remember the last time I paid an actual deposit for a Princess cruise, their FCD scheme is so good I generally have a couple for each of us "in the bank"! I'm surprised about the adjustment fee - surely cancelling and losing the deposit is penalty enough?!? Maybe I've just been lucky to be able to have the Β£100 admin fee (more than once).
  8. I'm UK-based and several times in the past I have been able to work with my TA to secure a better re-priced offer paying an admin fee (Β£100) rather than cancelling, losing my deposit/FCD and re-booking. Noting that when I had booked using FCD this only represents a Β£50 saving against the 2xΒ£75 deposit that I would have lost by cancelling. All before final payment due.
  9. On Island last month, most nights I'm pretty sure it was $19 supplement for steak or lobster, $29 for surf n turf. However, on a couple of nights it was $29 and $46 respectively - I'm not 100% sure but I think that was on the 2 Italian nights in the MDR. I may be wrong as we didn't ever order those, but I clearly remember the price being different a couple of times!
  10. We prefer to have breakfast in the MDR and on Island last month we were able to ask for the almond croissants and they DID have the almond paste inside
  11. If you don't wash your hands after using the bathroom, you don't need to use a towel. Just saying 😜
  12. I could only find them via Facebook, but contacted them via email and got an almost instant response with their brochure info@caribbeanislandtours.co.uk - bear in mind I haven't used them so this isn't a recommendation, although they do have a lot of good feedback.
  13. Agree mostly @slug33ukuk (especially with the Barbados bus!) but we have had a couple or three unsavoury experiences with DIY in the Caribbean in the past. 2 of those in St Lucia with what feels like a high-pressure sell as soon as you get past security and funnelled through the "dispatch" area, and one more recently when trying to get back to the ship in Curacao. St Lucia is the main concern, and following the advice above, Cosol and Caribbean Island Tours mean we have some good options there. Thanks though for the advice!
  14. Small point, but I don't believe there is a 15 minute gap enforced any more for the Princess drinks packages - just a 15 drink limit from 6am each day
  15. We didn't book it yet, as we have other plans for this year and next, but will definitely do it again. Honestly, our expectations were massively exceeded - maybe we got lucky with the weather and our tours, but we can't wait to do it again!
  16. We got back from the Iceland & Greenland cruise on Island Princess last month and it was INCREDIBLE. We booked it as a "once in a lifetime" trip but before we came home decided that we just had to do it again!
  17. We much prefer Princess over P&O but we're not "Princess exclusive". We did give up on P&O back in 2016 having cruised extensively with them for years, after some unfortunate incidents on an Azura Christmas and New Year cruise. But we decided to try again on Britannia last year in the Caribbean and loved it. Sure, not quite the same as Princess but good value and the charter flights are a clincher. We've booked Britannia again this winter, having cruised twice with Princess earlier this year (and loved them both). Great to have so many options!
  18. Definitely would have been my recommendation, Geiranger and Olden are our 2 favourite Norway ports-of-call too, getting both on your itinerary is very good!
  19. It should be pretty straightforward, we were blue lane for our Island Princess cruise last month from Southampton, we're Elite level. There was a separate queue for Elite and Platinum (which was empty as we arrived) and we were ushered straight to a desk for check-in. Less than 5 mins later we've got our medallions and we're moved towards the priority lounge, although that was packed out.15 mins later through security and onboard the ship. Couldn't have been smoother, and lots of Princess reps around to point you in the right direction if needed.
  20. Took me about 30 mins with varying degrees of profanity trying to make the Princess app work on our recent Island Princess cruise until I remembered I had VPN active 😞 it didn't like it at all.
  21. Actually we did the zip wires in Belize last time we came to the Caribbean, I really enjoyed it but my wife wasn't so keen given her fear of heights πŸ˜‰ she got her revenge with a horse riding tour later in that cruise... Thanks for the suggestions though!
  22. Thank you! We rarely do ship-organised excursions, although we do find P&O to be pretty good value compared to others like Princess, and we had a couple of bad experiences DIY in the Caribbean previously... Will definitely look into Cosol!
  23. Thank you for the suggestions! We do like activities such as snorkelling, swimming, river tubing, and catamaran trips but nothing too extreme or too energetic (no hiking or ziplining!!!) And of course we're spoilt for choice for beaches, but if there are any standouts we shouldn't miss, that would be great!
  24. After having such a brilliant time on Britannia last November, we've booked again for this winter and last night spent some time looking through the ship's excursions. We were quite disappointed with the available options, partly since we booked fairly late, and so I'm hoping for some recommendations on what to do! We have plans already for Curacao, Bonaire, St Vincent and Barbados - but nothing for Grenada, St Lucia, St Kitts, Antigua and St Maarten - any suggestions? Many thanks!
