  1. Agree, although it is a small box (normally) and I expect we have a more substantial need than most others
  2. BTW you can request a sharps disposal box to dispose of needles
  3. It is the same for Caribbean PE flights - the 28kg x2 allowance can be split across 3 cases
  4. Hi @Merly, interested to know what hotel you have been given? We have been allocated Miami Lakes Hotel (like MBandJSinUK above) for our next cruise and that's the same as our previous Princess fly-cruise (also 4 years ago) so left wondering if this is always their go-to hotel. We also really liked that hotel last time.
  5. Barbados Cat Caribe & Turtles was also sold out on our November cruise on Britannia, but the (shorter) Turtle Swim was available and it was brilliant. It was so good in fact that we re-booked it for the following day before disembarkation!
  6. Hi Gem, Destination requirements are regularly updated here: https://www.pocruises.com/cruise-with-confidence/destination-requirements Specifically for Barbados: Barbados All guests flying into Barbados must provide evidence of completing the Barbados Immigration and Customs form here. The form will be available within 72 hours prior to travel. This will be checked at the airport before boarding your flight. We’ve put together a handy guide on how to fill this out here.
  7. You can find the current entry requirements for all destinations here: https://www.pocruises.com/cruise-with-confidence/destination-requirements It gets updated fairly regularly. Currently no restrictions at all for Norway, so you can just wander 🙂
  8. And make sure you check the policy still meets your needs... there have been a lot of changes to annual policies since the pandemic.
  9. As per https://www.pocruises.com/cruise-with-confidence/destination-requirements: Barbados All guests flying into Barbados must provide evidence of completing the Barbados Immigration and Customs form here. The form will be available within 72 hours prior to travel. This will be checked at the airport before boarding your flight. We’ve put together a handy guide on how to fill this out here.
  10. Almost exactly the same for me. Only a couple of hours between my request and that first email response to ask for proof of postage, and then less than 10 mins more before I got the refund. I was impressed with them when we had our observed tests back in July, and equally impressed now - t would be a shame that this service is being discontinued if it weren't for the fact it's no longer needed for our cruises!
  11. Certainly for our forthcoming cruise there have been a couple of changes where restrictions or additional testing requirements have been removed.
  12. Anyone who booked their observed test with Prenetics / Project Screen within the last 14 days can cancel their contract and get a full refund, although you will have to pay your own postage costs to return the kit(s) before the refund is issued. Refund process is outlined here: https://www.projectscreen.co.uk/legals/refunds/ Hopefully their recent withdrawal of these tests from the market won't affect this policy.
  13. Exactly that Simon. There used to be a quick video on the Prenetics website to show through the entire process, but it is still described well in the FAW at the bottom of this: https://www.projectscreen.co.uk/fit-to-fly/teleheath-lateral-flow-antigen-test/ I also found this quick YouTube video which shows the contents of the test and what you're expected to do: We did this in the summer as a family of four and it was really straightforward.
  14. We were once called 20 minutes AFTER leaving Gibraltar to check that our 5-year-old son had got back on board with us 😄 I suppose they will have been pretty confident we wouldn't have got back on without him, but still not sure what would have happened if we'd said no!
  15. If there's a particular excursion that you really want to take, it might be worth booking at least that one in advance. We booked our next cruise quite late and two of the excursions we really wanted to book were already sold out.
  16. When did this policy change? We only booked our November cruise at the end of August and given how our last cruise was impacted by Covid we were very careful to read through all the terms before booking... 😐 well, at least I thought we were careful...
  17. Our cruises to the Norwegian Fjords have always been amazing and we wouldn't hesitate to do it again (and again)! The sailing in and out of the ports is very special, the ports themselves are spectacular and there is plenty to do, either by ship excursion or do-it-yourself. Olden is probably our favourite of all the ports, but Geiranger, Flam, Bergen, Stavanger etc. etc. are all lovely and varied places to visit. Never once have we experienced disappointment.
  18. I remember this was always the case for our kids too when they were that age (they're now 20 and 18), no idea why though, sorry!
  19. Sorry for any confusion - I can see back to the thread title referring to B229, we're on an earlier cruise so this is probably why our flights opened a little earlier.
  20. I've been checking daily for our flights, they were made available for booking this morning and I got an email notification from P&O just now.
  21. We do now have an email from P&O notifying that our flight seats can be booked, so only a few hours after they were released.
  22. We also managed to book our flight seats this morning, no notification as yet although our TA warned us that the notifications normally come a day or so after the booking becomes available (unless you're Baltic/Ligurian for priority seat bookings).
  23. We got a notification of our refund this week, 7 weeks after disembarking - although this was possibly delayed by a query I had on my final account that was being investigated. I believe it's supposed to be 2-4 weeks normally, but I would expect delays given their current caseload. It's in GBP and is issued via NatWest Payit.
  24. I believe yes. See the "Proof of vaccination" section here: https://www.pocruises.com/cruise-with-confidence/vaccination-and-testing-policy
