    I went ahead and booked a studio room after your review. I've only ever sailed in balcony cabins before and I've always thought to myself "I wish I had my own room":) I need my quiet time. I got Cloud Cuckoo Land and The War That Saved My Life from my library so I'm excited:) I've read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn 10+ times since I've been 12 and it's my favorite book.

    Could you hear the loud people from your cabin? I'm wondering if my room is too close to the lounge now. My parents are in their 80s and booked an aft cabin. I don't think they're going to want to walk to my cabin all that much even for an amazing cappuccino:)

    This is very timely! I'm debating booking a solo on the Escape. My parents will be booking a balcony and I'm too old to sleep on a couch:) Do you know if my parents can go into the lounge if they're with me or will they be banned?

    Thank you for the great review! I will be on the Pearl for the 2nd time next month and you got me excited. I'm a lot less stressed than I was this time last year with all the Covid crap. Last year I thought the food was just okay but the staff was wonderful.

    Thanks. I never reached out to him before but maybe I should. Mom isn't thrilled about turning 80 so I have to tread carefully, LOL.

    Hi, I will be sailing with 9 other family members on the Legend in less than two weeks. We all made reservations at the steakhouse to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. When my dad called to try to get a table for 10, they told him he has to go online to the event planner. I did a search on Carnival and I don't see that. What am I missing? Thanks.

    I was told off by a worker in the hallway on my last Carnival cruise (pre Covid). I explained that I was Platinum and that I was just dropping off luggage. He said it wasn't allowed and I ignored him. No way was I going to have my elderly parents haul their luggage up to the lido deck when they didn't have to.

    I'm intrigued. Is it also sweet? I think I wouldn't mind spicy as long as it's not too spicy but the older I get, the less I like sweet drinks.

    I haven't cruised on Carnival since before Covid and I'm happy that their muster drill no longer seems like a time consuming PITA.

    The first time I had a balcony I didn't know I could turn the light off until near the end of my cruise.
