  1. Is it possible to re-fare without Plus so that you could use OBC on first day?
  2. I find that very little is over $15, so much to say that 'everything' is included. With the exception of wine, then it is easy to go over $15.
  3. Recent 12-day British Isles, wine order came quickly every time in MDR and Horizon
  4. Clarification please. You say 'Ask for Picture', from the instructions it seems the App takes a picture. i.e. not take a picture and then upload.
  5. Agree with above comments and as I said, I realize that if the location I wanted was available it would have been an option when I booked. Maybe booking an inside and gambling that any upgrade would be acceptable is a reasonable ploy.
  6. I will try to scope out ferry options, 30 or so years ago I was on a business trip and weekended in Sydney/ I think I went on two separate ferry rides. No doubt the HoHo ferry would include locations I am not ware of. Maybe just do the bus and ferry HoHo on separate days. ETA. Just did a quick check of Captain Cook HoHo itinerary and maybe just doing regular ferry to Watsons Bay will be enough for us. I believe that is where I went previously and enjoyed a great Seafood dinner. Thank you for taking the time to advise us.
  7. I second that and was going to suggest it. Also, seas can be rough during the first two days out of San Francisco. We did that cruise but did not do the land portion. Loved Vancouver and then the drive from Whittier to Anchorage.
  8. Am I correct that they require tests to board a cruise but not to disembark from a transpacific?
  9. Agreed, we are doing Honolulu to Sydney, two sets of five sea days and so I thought we might have a bit more cabin time and so loveseat would be useful. We do not spend much time in cabin.
  10. OK we plan to take HoHo bus on first day when we disembark to get an overall flavor. We will handle ferry separately. So wondering about HoHo ferry versus regular ferry.
  11. Thanks Cruise Raider great answer. We are very happy with current location. We were in E407 on Regal in June, similar location but De Luxe - only two sea days so loveseat was not a big deal. We will stay with E415.
  12. We are sailing on Royal, Hawaii to Sydney Oct2 2023. Just received a list of upgrade offers from Princess, even though we did not subscribe to 'Updates' We are in E415 on Royal and feel that is primo location for an 'obstructed', we have been in these Emerald locations previously and are very happy with them. So, the only upgrade we would be interested in would be De Luxe obstructed with the Loveseat. This is available for $350 total, however I am afraid we could find the 'obstruction' to be a lifeboat etc. E415 has no obstruction. If I could be sure the upgrade would be in a similar location it might be worth it. Would we know the location and be able to choose whether to accept or not? As I type this it occurs to me that those De Luxe Emerald locations are unlikely to be available.
  13. ETA in anticipation of not having Plus I had pre-ordered 12 bottles of water for our cabin. They were not delivered and we were not charged, Plus took care of our water requirements.
  14. That's good news. I looked at the prepurchase schedule and see they are not available on Mon or Tue???
  15. Only slightly off topic, prior to our recent 12-day British Isles cruise I had done a lot of mental speculating on what we would probably drink, available OBC and price of Plus. Decided we would do better with a la Carte by about $200. Sitting in the bar on first day, logic and arithmetic is completely different 🙂 We went for the Plus, and I am sure we got value 🙂
  16. We bought Plus on first day and there was a small discount I forget the amount but $10 - 20 seems right. It was a line item for Plus on our account.
  17. I see there is a hop on hop off cruise in Sydney, how would this compare with regular ferry? HoHo seems like a good idea.
  18. Thanks, that is helpful. I was tempted by Intercontinental and Marriott because of walking distance. Did not think of light rail. I hear mention of Opal card, is that a cost saver or just a convenience?
  19. Good idea, I have a minor question and receive a lot of junk mail so not worth it to recover. Princess can probably email me a copy. Just thought it might be available somewhere online.
  20. That's great! But does this mean we have to stay at the Hilton 🙂
  21. I have mislaid my final account from recent cruise, I thought Princess emailed me a copy but can't find that either. Is there a way to find this online? Chat is not accepting new Chats at the moment,
