  1. Where would it be advertised @POA1? Would it be in the daily newsletter or maybe a flyer put in the room? ~Nancy
  2. Oh my gosh, thank you @ottahand7! My friend will be so thrilled to know he can get his Pisco Sour on Eurodam in March!! This was so kind of you to track down this question, especially since it's not exactly of universal interest to our fellow CCers!! 😊 ~Nancy
  3. Here's the thread from people who are on Symphony now. Have a look and some of your questions are answered and ask them other questions if you want. Have a great trip! ~Nancy
  4. Yes, what @Blackduck59 and @Crew News said!! Your confirmation is correct so you have been put in the system. Call your TA. And it's true the HAL website is messed up at times. Take a deep breath! It's going to be fine! Have a great time with your friends on your cruise. 😊 ~Nancy
  5. The announcements/scenic narration can be heard usually on the TV Bow Cam channel. They can't be heard on the cabin veranda though. ~Nancy
  6. It will be worth every penny for that upgrade! Have a great time on your trip! ~Nancy
  7. There is no Mariner discount at all in Morimoto per the HAL Mariner Society Loyalty Rewards chart. 😡 Mariner Society (hollandamerica.com) ~Nancy
  8. @islandwoman , Ruth's suggestion is a great option since all the "Early Booking HIA" fares do have refundable deposits. ~Nancy
  9. The Navigator App is intended for, and works best, when onboard the cruise. `Nancy
  10. You had me going for a minute! Just Sommelier Packages. Not individual bottles. (except the mini bar)
  11. I wouldn't book it. You are correct, it's below the Rock Room. Do you go to bed before 11:30 pm or so?
  12. Go later. HAL prioritizes their excursion groups getting off the ship. ~Nancy
  13. Always happy to assist a neighbor! If you get inspired, please come back to Cruise Critic and let us know how your trip was. I don't go until 2025 so have to wait a long time! ~Nancy
  14. See my post #9 above. Same port fees for me. OP hasn't answered yet if their figure was for more people or a much longer cruise.
  15. When I was on Rotterdam in November 2022, I didn't see that there was a band in the Ocean Bar! We had a very good band on Nieuw Amsterdam in October 2022. That's great there is a band in there now!! ~Nancy
  16. @richwmn it sounds like such a nice relaxing Pacific crossing! Here's hoping your team manages to eek out just those last couple of trivia points so you can be the victors now and then! I'm sure it's fun anyway, but........😁 Thanks for your posts! ~Nancy
  17. Is that for two or more people? My last Panama Canal cruise in October 2022 was a 23 day cruise from Vancouver to Ft. Lauderdale. The port fees were "only" $655.
  18. @ottahand7 Nancy, if you think of it next time you are at a bar, could you ask if they have the ingredients for Pisco Sours? (drink version from Chile has Pisco, lime and simple syrup (Peru adds egg white and bitters)) They aren't on the menu, but hopefully they can be made if there is Pisco brandy on board. My friends are going on their first HAL cruise and he's from Chile originally and loves his Pisco Sours! Eurodam in March 2024 Thanks! ~Nancy
  19. Yes, they do give everyone their own set to use for their cruise! It's on the website below. All Inclusive Boutique Cruises | Ultimate Small Yacht World Vacations (windstarcruises.com) Have a wonderful trip! ~Nancy
  20. Glad the prednisone is working! It stopped my horrible cough a couple of years ago. Thanks for all the room service pictures. The food looks good! ~Nancy
  21. Ocean Bar in the non-Pinnacle ships has live music in the evenings suitable for dancing and carrying on conversations while having a drink. Usually, three sets per night I recall. ~Nancy
  22. I've always thought that HAL's beverage package wines by the glass are what I call "Tuesday Wines". Meaning they are OK at home with my meatloaf dinner on Tuesday but certainly not what I would drink on Saturday with my filet mignon dinner! My OBC usually goes to those "Saturday Wines"! I've not been on any other mainstream cruise lines since 1990 so how do HAL's by-the-glass wines compare to others such as RCCL, Carnival, Princess, etc? ~Nancy
  23. Roy has been my "find interesting combinations for travel" inspiration! Cars, trains, planes, ships, ferries....you name it and mix them up! I sure keeps things fun and I'm doing such a trip this spring! Thanks Roy @rafinmd!! 😊 ~Nancy
