On Island Princess what dining room offers embarkation lunch and what are the hours?

As usual, great information from the super people on Cruise Critic.

We are going on a Caribbean cruise in May, and after reading the comments here I have come to the conclusion that I don't need a sport coat or suit and dress pants and dress shirt is sufficient for formal night. And my wife can wear a dress that doesn't need a gown. Am I correct?

We are going on Island Princess. We made reservations for every night for a table for two at 6pm. Are you saying that even though we have this reservation they may not seat us at 6 and they probably won't give us a table for two? Haven't sailed on Princess for a few years so I'm not up to date with the procedures. I was under the impression that we can sit at the same table for two every night in that we had the same reservation for all eleven nights. Am I wrong?

Considering booking Hideaway Beach for Mid-September. It is about $60pp. I am wondering if it is worth paying for it. We love just sitting by the regular pool but the water is always freezing. I heard that the pool in Hideaway is heated. We are very happy with the Snack Shack free food, so I don't know if the food in Hideaway is a draw. So, I ask the experts on Cruise Critic, "Is it worth it"?

Can terminal T5 change over time or will that remain the assigned terminal?

It's been six years since our last QM2 cruise and we have basic questions regarding the dress code. We are going to be on a seven night crossing from Brooklyn to Southampton. When we disembark we will spend a few days traveling in Europe before taking a 14 day Royal Caribbean cruise. Traditionally we enjoy the formal nights and dressing up but this time we are concerned about schlepping suitcases on trains and throughout our normal travel. In our late sixties we plan on being very conservative as to our packing for a month. So, after my explanation here are my questions. I am planning on bringing a dark sport coat, dress pants along with dress shirts and ties. My wife will be bringing a couple of nice dresses. Will we be out of place on formal night and the mascarade night? What are our dinner options for these two nights? Thank you.

Thank you for the information. I see that you are from Vale, what a beautiful area. We were going to spend a week in the Cotswolds and your area this fall and had to change our plans.

We are Diamond Plus and feel the same way that the previous two posts feel. We tried Carnival in January and whereas the ship wasn't as nice as we are accustomed to with Royal the food selection was much better and the quality was a little better. We are going on Princess in May and the QM2 in October. Of the five cruises this year two will be on Royal. This has never happened before. Just as Royal is moving on, so are we.

Going off topic a bit. Can you please tell me what news channels are on the television.

On Royal or Celebrity when we get our cabin assignment we can change it to another available cabin in that same class. Can you switch it on Princess?
